John and Suzanne are very down to earth and were excellent hosts to us for our weekend camping here. Every conversation had between us was so easy. They are lovely people with a serene and beautiful property. The vibe on their camp/property is exactly what we were looking for to experience the Shenandoah Valley for the weekend. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful place. The farm cats were so cute and friendly, and the whole place was very relaxing. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Highly reccomended!

The yurt at fairy glen is lovely! Though it rained on our stay, we still loved it and felt cozy, especially with the rain sound. The birds were amazing as our alarm clock in the morning. The property is so nice and we got their pretty black cat as our tour guide! We will definitely come back! 😌

Loved spending a glamping weekend at Sue’s! It’s nestled in the middle of many hiking trails, the Woodstock tower, and wineries. The yurt itself is incredibly comfortable, and the A/C unit is a dream. Sue met us at arrival and was super friendly and walked us through all the supplies they had available to make the camping weekend perfect.

What a wonderful place! Sue and John were above and beyond...super kind and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The bed and tent are super cozy and comfy and the land it is on is beautiful. Being able to use the creek and pond really made our weekend spectacular! We are grateful for such a wonderful experience and hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful time at John and Suzanne's. The space was well stocked and the A/C made the glamping great even on a 90+ degree day. There were beautiful spots to sit by the creek and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

The Camp at Fairy Glen
The trickle of the freshwater creek, the flitter of the redwing blackbird and the cardinal pair over the small pond, the rhythmic croaks of the bullfrogs, the chatter of the chickens on the hillside, and the utter quiet of just before dawn proved to be a welcome backdrop for our family’s 4th of July weekend. Our hosts’ genuine graciousness came naturally to them. Their intentional crafting of Fairy Glen Farm—a place apart—is noticeable in a multitude of ways and is sure to sustain them and many future guests.

We had an amazing time visiting John and Suzanne's slice of paradise on Fairy Glen Farm! After turning at the sign for the property it was a straight shot and easy to locate. The campsite itself is wonderful and looks exactly as advertised, with all possible amenities for cooking and cleaning up, and firewood as far as the eye can see. Sue came down to greet us shortly after arrival and is super kind and welcoming so you better be nice to her! We were also lucky to be the guinea pigs for the new portable air conditioning unit inside the tent and it kept us very cool and comfortable throughout the night. Catch up on your reading, cook some tasty food, share great conversation around the firepit, or take a much needed nap in the hammock! Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you have a dog who will both enjoy and behave themselves off-leash.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at this glamping spot in the Shenandoah. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by stunning natural views, creating the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The amenities truly made the experience even more enjoyable. The heated tent kept us warm and cozy, even on a chilly night, and the outhouse bathroom was clean and convenient. The entire setup, from the firepit to the rustic wooden furniture, made it feel like a perfect blend of comfort and outdoor adventure.
One of the highlights was how close it was to a local winery, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful afternoon sipping wine with a gorgeous backdrop. Whether we were relaxing in the tent, sitting by the fire, or taking in the quiet beauty of the surrounding forest, this trip was exactly what we needed.
If you’re looking for a romantic, cozy, and well-equipped camping getaway in the Shenandoah, I highly recommend this spot. We’ll definitely be coming back. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we need as well as recommending all the stuff to see and do nearby!

Fairy Glen was an amazing getaway and such a relaxing night. Lots of property to walk around and explore, all the amenities needed to cook meals and start a fire, and the bed and tent setup were all well thought out.
Suzanne was very friendly, came over to give me a quick intro and breakdown of everything and was available if I needed anything. Their house was fairly nearby and within sight which I thought was great b/c it felt safe being there if I needed anything.
Great stay and would recommend to anyone!

We are so happy to have stumbled upon this camping oasis … they were nothing but amazing hosts. The space was a secluded dream with downtown Woodstock 25 minutes away. The wood stove inside tent was an added bonus for chilly fall nights. And the blankets were so warm and cozy as well. So many amenities for a sweet glamping spot. We will be back for another adventure. 10/10

Glamping at John & Sue's was an incredible experience. The tent was spacious and cute and the campsite well cared for. John and Sue were attentive and considerate but also happy to give us space We were also able to walk up to the pasture and see the cows and sheep! I would definitely recommend this camp to others!

What a dream! Fairy Glen was the perfect place to take my 4 year old camping. Sue and John have everything you need- just bring food and clothes.
The tent was so comfortable. We also had fun exploring the streams and ponds- we even caught a fish.
I could not recommend this enough, we will be back.

We stayed overnight in the bell tent after a long drive, and it provided a much need rest with a lovely serenade of the night sounds while we slept.
The host was quick to respond and kind. It is obvious that much thought and effort was put into the private campsite.
The outhouse was clean, the tent was clean, the bed was superbly comfortable. There was time to wander before check out and we lingered by the creek with a lovely swing, and on the bench lakeside. We have a found a place for rest and peace. :-)

This site was absolutely perfect! The property is gorgeous, so quiet, and the tent is so cozy. It has everything you need and so much firewood! It’s not far from Shenandoah national park for a great day of hiking! Suzanne was so kind and helpful! We will definitely be back!!

Such a lovely little spot with friendly, hospitable hosts. The site had everything you could possibly need for a pretty luxurious camping experience. I was stoked to chat with Sue and John and my dogs and I had a nice time moseying around the property exploring the creek bed and ponds. Overall a great experience- albeit brief. I intend on bringing my ground sleeping averse husband next time, the comfy bed will be pretty persuasive. Highly recommend! Thanks so much.
