From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. If you feel the need to explore the area, you are within walking distance of NotaViva Farm Brewery and Winery, 15 dirt road minutes from the new Sweet Run State Park one direction and Breaux Vineyard in the other direction. The location was perfect for us to go to the Dickey ridge entrance of the national park. The river was so beautiful, we spent a full day birdwatching seeing great blue herons, osprey, and northern flickers. Every site has a wonderful view, especially of the stars at night. We had a very nice interaction with both the groundskeeper and Sean’s dad. Everything there is very well cleaned and taken care of. It was not very buggy at all at the end of August/beginning of September, helped in part by many beautiful dragon flies around the river. Great experience ! We will go back again

This spot was just what we needed in a quick getaway. The site was lovely and we appreciated the care in setting up firewood for us. A welcome thunderstorm meant we didn't use the firepit, but we did get to see a fawn jump around the field as the rain started. We had such a peaceful evening and awoke to birds chirping and cows lowing. After leaving it was a quick drive to John Brown's cabin/The Kennedy Farm, the C&O canal and Antietam. We would definitely recommend this site and would stay again!

We really enjoyed camping at Notaviva! We had a nice view of their pond and main building (which is really cool!). Communication with the host was great and they are very easy to deal with. Even offered us free firewood! The location is great too. Not only can you walk to a winery / brewery, but super close to Harper's Ferry and Charles Town. Will definitely be back!

Great directions(dont use the Hipcamp link like we did , use actual address!) West was a great host. He had water and firewood, waiting for us at the campsite when we arrived.. He also offered us fresh eggs! Beautiful location! Loved watching the goats graze in the field, and we visited the many variety of fowl and the emus were fun to visit! Perfect spot to visit nearby attractions, such as Antietum and Harper’s ferry. Highly recommend!! Thanks West!!

It was a very private grassy campsite and easy to find. There were no issues with crowing roosters. West left a good bit of firewood for the chilly night and two jugs of water. There was lots of space to walk off-leash with the dog towards the back of the property.
