The Limberlost

We searched for 3 years to find the perfect piece of land. We found it in our 45 acre wooded piece of heaven. There is a 5 acre pasture, a half acre pond, a creek, and the rest is a beautiful mix of hardwood and pine. We are working on building a small cabin next to the pasture, and have cut trails through most of the property. We have one developed campsite, and plan to create more. Learn more about this land: We have a Tentsile 3 person tent, and there is a large Tentsile hammock. *[There is an age limit for anyone camping in the Tentsile tent. We ask that no one under the age of 8 climbs up into the tent.] There is also a 6 person tent, on the ground, if being in the trees is not your thing. There is a short 0.4 mile walk to the campsite that takes about 7 minutes to walk. We will bring all your stuff up for you. The camp site is on hill over looking the creek. It is located on one of the back corners of our 45 acre wooded property. We have made trails throughout, so there is plenty to explore. We are just a short 15 minute drive from Parksville Lake, and white water rafting on the Occoee. This campsite is a 10 minute walk from the main house, and you will have total privacy. There is also a pond and fishing boat, hammocks and swing by the creek, chickens, peacocks and flower gardens on the property.

We are currently offering 4 treehouse dwellings to share our peaceful land full of God's promises. The dwellings are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet not to far of a walk to the common area where the kitchen and shower are. You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area. Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. The latest improvement is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove and running water. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10 minute drive to firetower rd brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

On The Rocks Campsite

Brand new Bell 16 foot round tent built on sturdy cedar deck on top of a cluster of large limestone rocks in beautiful grove of mostly Maple and Oak trees. My oldest son Ben, and I built this campsite this year from both our visions, and tried to make it a truly magical setting. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has 4 Adirondack chairs, natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Tent features a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, 2 upholstered chairs set up as reading/relaxing nook, coffee maker, fan and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 5 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, as well as a boarding horse and very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Fire pit area features large metal ice bucket, with coolers available if you need one. For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, fresh vegetables from garden when in season, homemade breads and even home cooked meals. Contact us for available seasonal menu.

It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found.

Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders.
