Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found.
Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

Wild Woods is a working farm and licensed tree nursery on 30 acres of creek, wooded ridges, and open pasture in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee. Quieter and less visited than the Smokies to the south. About 90 minutes from Asheville.
Two off-grid stays on the property: a geodesic dome at the highest point of the right ridge and a cedar treehouse feet from the creek. Both are available to book separately.
The land includes:
- Three creek beaches: Otter Beach, Elder Cove (shaded by box elders), and Bottled Bay, where guests hang bottled wishes in the trees.
- A hiking trail loop reaching 1,161 feet across both ridges.
- A Sit Spot Network of 42 hand-built benches distributed through the hardwoods, not mapped, found.
- A pasture with free-range chickens, a walipini, a sunflower forest, and a fire pit ringed by stumps pulled from the land (one came out heart-shaped). Gardens, a young orchard, and native plants throughout.
Wildlife: A resident river otter named Olivia downstream. A gray heron pair on the creek most mornings. Deer at dusk. Wild turkeys, bunnies, squirrels, and buzzards riding thermals above the ridge. Crawdads and tiny fish in the creek. Coyotes across the holler at night that sound closer than they are.
Tree canopy: Cedars, black walnuts, oaks, hemlocks, sassafras, maples, redbud, honey locust, elm, and ash. Classic Appalachian hardwood mix.

Thirty minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park, in Tennessee's Sequatchie Valley, The Canyon sits on 447 acres of Cumberland Plateau wilderness along a 100-foot canyon rim above one of the South's most dramatic gorges. An hour north of Chattanooga, two hours east of Nashville — the closest real wilderness escape for either city.
Sleep in a geodesic dome overlooking the canyon. Hike to waterfalls. Swim in natural holes. Climb one of 150+ rock routes right on the property. Or just sit on the deck with a drink and watch the canyon go quiet.
Leave the pavement and you've got two miles of gravel ahead — one mile to the gate, one more past it — as the road descends through wilderness onto 447 acres of Cumberland Plateau that hasn't changed much since it was coal country. From your dome's private deck, you're looking out over the canyon below — some domes face the Sequatchie Valley, others look directly down into the canyon at Pond Creek itself.
Hike to the falls. Swim the blue holes. Watch falcons ride thermals from your deck. And if you climb, there's a 100-foot cliff with 150+ routes right on the property — but you don't need to be a climber to love this place.
The property is big enough that you won't hear another soul.

We had a wonderful time at Done#2! It was so cute and cozy on the inside and the property is beautiful! Deidra was very attentive and answered any questions we had from the moment we booked it. There is a fair bit of road noise nearby but aside from that it was a great experience! Would stay here again!

My family and I had an amazing stay! The dome was very clean, cozy, and peaceful. We loved relaxing by the fireplace and listening to the creek nearby. The Wi-Fi and board games were also a great touch, especially for our family time.

We loved the dome! I stayed with 3 kids and we enjoyed the seclusion and goats! It is a bit of a hike to the dome, but Heather and JB helped getting in and out. We hiked at parks in the area during the day and came back to the dome to relax, have campsite dinner and sleep comfortably. The land is beautiful and enjoyed a very unique experience.

Deidre’s place was incredible, and I highly recommend it! The location is perfect, right along the stream and it was the perfect combination of outdoors and luxury! My kids loved splashing in the stream, the hot tub, and had a magical night with a campfire surrounded by fireflies. The dome is beautifully decorated and had everything we could have needed! We loved everything about our stay!

My kids and I had the best time at the GeoDome! A much needed break from the city. We played games all night. But first enjoyed our hiked in dinner on the patio with the sunset. The rainstorm sounded lovely as it put us to sleep. Accommodations were comfortable. And the visits from the goats were a delight. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Hopefully to make use of the wood burning stove.

The dome was a unique stay! The ambiance inside the dome was surprisingly homey. We got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and saw the goats and sheep on their morning walk about.
The walk up to the dome is a little steep and rocky at first, but otherwise not too bad.

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm
We cannot possibly recommend thunder dome any more enthusiastically! Our weekend was so relaxing. Heather greeted us upon arrival and helped us get everything to the dome. The dome itself is perfectly cozy and quaint. Wood stove was so nice and warm on a chilly spring night, and the bed was comfy. This is THE definition of glamping. And the property is gorgeous with several trails into the woods. Last but not least, their goats are absolutely adorable, and one even bonded with us and followed us back to the dome. Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway in nature!

1 night at Quarter Spring Farm
The dome itself is cozy while being secluded. I loved being able to see the sunset. Perhaps not a universal experience, but we were escorted to the dome by a baby goat, and that was delightful. The views of the mountains make the stay pretty magical

With kids
My sons and I had an awesome winter weekend camp out at the farm! The dome was really cozy and Heather made sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home from the moment we parked our car until we said our goodbyes on Sunday morning. The property was perfect for exploring during the day and it was quite peaceful at night. The farm animals, especially the goats, were really cool. We even got to be there to welcome a new baby goat into the world! 10/10 recommend this place!

1 night at Luxury Dome Close w/ Sauna
Very unique camping experience with all the anemities you need. It's cozy, fun, and had a great morning sunrise view. Waking up each morning to the sun popping up between the trees was awesome. The outdoor area and patio over looking the small pond is relaxing as well. And close to Big South Fork, which was a gorgeous hike was a bonus as well.

We had a great stay at the Thunder Dome! The wood stove kept the dome cozy on a chilly night and we were lucky enough to witness the northern lights while we were there! Heather is a great host and we loved meeting the goats, would stay again!

3 nights at Glamping Domes & A-Frame
This place is absolutely beautiful. Waking up to a sunrise over Appalachia is worth it on its own. The dome is well maintained, clean, and the area is super quiet and safe. It's an amazing place to relax in the hot tub and stargaze, play some games at the outdoor table, or just sit by the fire pit to talk and enjoy the scenery. There are two fire pits - a private metal one on the deck and a large communal area between the domes. There's also hiking and walking trails a short drive away in the Smokies (like Mouse Creek Falls).
Ravi is super friendly and responsive to messages. We met him on our way out when he came up to do maintenance. He takes good care of this place.
There are a few turns that are hard to see, so definitely arrive when it's daylight. If you use Waze, keep going up and around after it thinks you've "arrived".

This place was absolutely magically for outdoor people like me and my husband. The view was amazing from sunrise to sunsets. The host was super chill and awesome to be around. The goats were the best neighbors we ever had. ｡◕‿◕｡
Its the perfect spot if you wanna do nothing but vibe with nature.
