Primitive stone walls were built by farmers as property lines and served to keep farm critters close to home. Wake to a crow and dewy fog in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Scenic views and mountain air create a peaceful escape. Hike these mountains and feel the pride and perseverance left behind by folks from long ago.

Drive directly to the site to unload camp supplies then park in A.T. Mountain View designated space which is visible and convenient to the site. Enjoy the solitude of the farm. Cool shade and a mountain stream create a quiet retreat. Creekside offers one large tent site with an option for hammock or small tent area as well. Peek through the trees to see spectacular Appalachian Mountain View. Historic stone walls border the site to create privacy and seclusion. Walk Along the creek banks to discover a duck pond and more. Wake early or wake late and plan to stay awhile. Unload camping supplies from vehicle near site and park in nearby in designated area.

This shady site is level and faces a small creek on the hillside at the back side of the property. It overlooks the farm animals below as well. It does not have a perimeter fence so it is especially important that all pets are kept on a leash. There is a fire pit with free wood to burn available. You have a trash bin for your convenience. Please be sure all trash is properly disposed of and food is secure inside storage containers according to safe bear practices.

Our Beautiful and Spacious cottage style home situated in the woodlands near the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Realx on the wrap around deck with the cool mountain stream nearby. Majestic mountians are breathtaking in every season with views to some of the highest peaks east of the Mississippi. Much attention and detail has been given to seasonal landscaping with walkways, bridges and visions of plantscapes throughout the property. Family and Friends can gather with both indoor and outdoor entertainment areas. The interrior is custom built with arch doorways and an open floor plan. The kitchen and dining areas are open and seat 8 people at the main dining area and an additional bar seating up to 4 people. There is a spacious 18 x 15 ft master suite with adjecent bathroom/ walk in shower and double vanity. It's spacious with tray ceilings, has a queen bed and a leather style Futon Sofa Bed ( 6ft x 3.5 ft). The additional guest bedroom is 14.5 x 10.5 with a spacious walk in closet (10.5 x 5.5 ft) and fold away twin size bed. Family and Friends has many special features. There is an office area complete with desk station, printer and a few office supplies. The property is handicap accessible with ramps for entry, walk in shower and xtra wide openings to every room for your comfort and safety. There is abundant parking with a concrete patio for outdoor grilling. The home is very private but located conveniently to many area attractions. The nearby farm animals will entertain children and adults alike with whimsical antics. Take a walk around the 3 acre farm to explore waterways, pond life, mountain views and more. A dozen fresh farm eggs are provided as a courtesy to all guests. Sit by the pond with a cozy campfire while the sun sets on the farm. Rocky Flats Community has historic sentiment with many scenes from the past including, rock walls, old homeplaces and the one of the earliest churches, Shultz Grove United Methodist Church. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and was established in 1914 and is featured in the Dollywood Production, Heartsong." This campsite is the perfect spot if you are looking for something off grid but close enough to the Smokys! Kim is the sweetest and her land reflected that. Very peaceful, will be back again!

We loved our trip to the moutain view! The goats were so friendly and the views were stunning. Having the shelter was an added plus as we got some good rain on our second day. No issues with flooding and we got the most beautiful smokey mountain views from the storms. That night we even got to watch the horse field fill with fire flies so early in the season 😍🏕🌄 Outhouse was well kept!
