Bird Fork Farm is a small regenerative farm located on 55 acres. Enjoy camping in one of the numerous spots in the beautiful pasture or pop into the woods to find the perfect hammock spot. With easy access, take a stroll through the orchard, woods, or pasture or venture to one of the numerous state parks nearby. Guests have access to an off-grid composting toilet and rainwater-fed handwashing facility as well as a 10x15 lean-to for shade, cooking, or hanging out. There are so many incredible things to do nearby! There is a fantastic swimming hole about 10 minutes down a dirt road from the farm. If you're into climbing this area is well known for its climbing destinations including Woodcock Cove. Savage Gulf State Park and Fall Creek Falls State Park are located within 30 minutes of the farm. The Isha Yoga Institute is about 10 mins away. The Sequatchie Valley is 10 mins down the mountain. Chattanooga is approximately 45 mins SE while McMinnville is about 30 mins NW. The Caverns, a wonderful music venue is about 40 mins away. Nashville is approximately 1hr 45mins NW.

Pitch your tent anywhere in the pasture or hardwood forest. The pasture is gently rolling while the woods range from steep to gently sloping. The camping areas have access to an on-site fire pit, and a composting toilet. Take a walk down to the spring fed creek or explore the numerous state parks nearby including Fall Creek Falls and Savage Gulf State Parks. Nearby to many climbing locations! Easy access allows you to stay all day or come and go as you please. From fall to early spring views open up from the pasture allowing for gorgeous scenery of the neighboring valley.

Unplug and unwind at the regenerative Bird Fork Farm, nestled in the serene beauty of the Cumberland Plateau. Stay in our rustic, off-grid tiny house surrounded by sounds of the farm, mountain views, peaceful nights, and beautiful stars. Enjoy solar-powered comfort and taste the off-grid lifestyle with rainwater washing areas, a propane cooking set-up, an outdoor composting toilet and sink, fire pit, woods and a creek to explore. Outdoor shower coming soon! Just a short drive to lots of hiking, climbing, and adventuring. This off-grid tiny house has 1 queen bed, 1 fold-down sofa/bed, and 1 twin xl bed in a loft. Hooks for a hammock are also located above the sofa bed and desk. The kitchenette contains a propane camping stove with 2 burners, some cooking utensils, and dining utensils. A tea kettle is available. The Perch is run off of solar and has electric plug ins and lights. If it's chilly feel free to turn on the propane heater. Sip your morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the neighboring valley and farm. While an outdoor shower is not available yet there is a composting toilet and handwashing station nearby. Fires in the neighboring firepit are allowed provided there isn't a drought. A public lean-to structure near the firepit is open for any desires to hang, eat, or cook under.

The Perch
I really liked the layout of the campsite area. The outhouse was really nice, and the little lights near the fire pit pavilion were a nice touch. The Perch itself was clean and well stocked with things such as camp stove, dishes, etc.

Wonderful place !Out in the wild surrounded whit a plenty of waterfalls rivers…if you are nature lover strongly recommend (owner it’s chill person easy to go whit know a lot of details for the area and for the vegetation around! I will definitely visit them again 🙏Thanks guys see you soon.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a light camping trip in a beautiful area of middle Tennessee. It was a warm September 21. Alysia is a friendly and kind host with sweet dog and cat to welcome you. A good spot for those wanting a quiet camping option but not isolated. Love that we were surrounded by a small organic farm, nearby line of tall trees and a tall grassy pasture. It felt cozy, safe, and chill. I appreciate the unique outdoor bathroom that included a compost toilet and bathroom sinks with running water. It was a very close walk (approx. 14 yards) from our tent spot. Host was kind to mow out a few areas for us to select from to set up our tent. We actually found the area between the fire pit and small covered "pavilion". The chairs were nice to sit in to enjoy taking in the night, looking up at the stars and conversation over candlelight (fire ban was in effect due to drought conditions in the area). The campground was not too close to the host's residence nor was it too far or remote. This was a lovely stay for us for one night. We would return again.
