There is some cell service, but it is limited. Can you hear me now? Be sure to save site information on your phone before you leave, in case you lose cell-service. This is not Alaska, but it is not a KOA campground, either. We recommend you print of bring a paper map. Your GPS will not bring you to the exact driveway location. You need to be personally observant.
This is the top of a mountain ridge. The access lane is steep, rocky, and has water erosion ditches you must drive over. Do not attempt this if you have a low profile car or a new/fragile camper. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Low profile and fancy cars are not recommended. This camping site is for those who want to live ruggedly like Lewis Clark. To see the water ditches you must drive over, go to YouTube and search "Wilbur's Shed - Blairs Mills", and it is the account of a cat with a white face.
This location is in a mix of farmland and mountain Appalachia. You will see common species such as chipmunks, squirrels turkey and deer. Many bird species. There are also porcupines, skunks, and black snakes around. You may also see black bear - it is rare, but possible. You are visiting wildlife species in their natural habitat. Please be self-aware of your own level comfort with wildlife. Once again, this is not an RVs park where you will socialize with a hundred other campers. This is primitive and isolated. This is an ideal camping spot if you want to escape from people.
Nearby is the Tuscarora Creek which is excellent for trout fishing. The Tuscarora has a small but lovely window for kayaking from mid-March through the end of May. Please contact the host if you would like help to plan some paddle logistics.
Rental through Hipcamp does not include hunting or the use of firearms, nor the use of dirt bikes and ATVs.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent.
You will have this space to yourself.
The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. Well its not much of a farm, Rather a secluded grass farm field with goldenrod at the foot of the Elizabethville mountian. It is only 1.8 miles off the Route 25 approximately 1/2 hour drive north of Harrisburg. It is down a dirt road through the woods. At the edge of the field is the woods of the mountian. It has a small stream flowing throgh the woods. Not alot of light pollution so you will be sure to enjoy the starry night sky. Close to alot of neat placed and things to do.

Enjoy the private back acre of our 2-acre parcel. RV parking is separated from the main house by a barn and Morton building. Set up camp overlooking what used to be a grassy yard, but is now a walkable wildflower meadow. Enjoy the meadow paths and entire property's yard. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times - our dog is friendly, but will also be leashed when outside.
The house and barn were built in the late 1800s and are currently being restored. There will be no construction activity during your stay, but there may be assorted projects in process visible near buildings. Please do not enter buildings unless accompanied by a property owner.
Many restaurants, breweries, distilleries and parks are just minutes away in Bellefonte! When visiting them, we recommend going straight out of our driveway onto Clemens instead of turning right onto Valentine Hill. Valentine has tight turns that are a challenge to navigate in an RV or with a trailer.

I definitely recommend the honey bee experience what an amazing experience we will never forget ! I love camping here so much! The creek is so much fun. I like the size of the site. It was perfect for us. The dogs had the best time running in and out of the creek all day long. We all slept great! Firewood, for all you can burn for $10 a day is a great deal as well. We will definitely be back. The sites are a 30 minute drive to Knoebels. So nice to escape people! Thank you Mark!

Dennis was a fabulous host! There to greet me upon arrival, he was kind, thoughtful and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. The site, creek sit was perfect! My group and I stayed at Campsite 3 near the cave for 4th of July and we had a wonderful time. The site was clean and accessible and had a nice pad for our tents, as the ground was rather rocky. The site was beautiful and had lots of summer farm ambiance, and the cave was awesome! The cave was sort of hard to get into but we still had fun. We loved the decorations as well.

We loved site 4. Very private, right on the water, all shade, no sunlight at the site which was great considering it was over 100 degrees. We loved tubing down the creek and just laying in our tubes tied to rocks right in front of the site! We fit 2 tents, a 4 and a 6 person tent with enough room to cook and make a bathroom! Would definitely recommend this site and Mark was awesome!!!

This site has everything, even though it's next to a road with moterate traffic, there's a big area that was mowed for the kids to play or for dogs to run, there's water, septic, electric, wood and it's shaded, it will handle big rigs, everything! We even saw a bear! We spent most of our time at Whipple Dam State Park that was around 2 miles from the site. We also enjoyed Green Wood Furnace State Park about 7 miles away, there's lots of hiking, fishing, swimming, everything in the area!
