No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). There are many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. For large events some extra arrangements may be possible, just ask. We look forward to sharing our piece of our heaven with you.

Our historic south Empire oasis is a private, secluded and personal natural wildlife view spot. Coos Bay beauty at its best. Nestled between First Creek and Strawberry Island. Come visit our "little piece of Heaven" on the bay. We have kayaks, an outdoor kitchen and wifi! What more do you need. This year we are opening our gates to tours and gatherings. (We allow multiple cars not only one as listed) We are just minutes from beautiful beaches and hiking, (not to mention our own beach at the end of the walkway) mushrooming, crabbing and more. We would love to give you one of our several tours: Waterfalls, wild kayak Bonsai adventure, Ocean trail and more. Not only that, we can arrange for you to have coffee delivered to your door or a BBQ party for your party. Four hours south of Portland, two hours North of the CA boarder. Coos Bay has an regional airport made accessible by our world class golf course Bandon Dunes 1/2 hour from our place. The airport has one 55 minute flight a day to San Francisco. While the listing says "no wheel chair access" this is just for the camper because there are steps. If someone in your party has a wheelchair and would like to camp we can help you arrange the area for a tent or car camping for that individual but we do not have an accessible toilet other than an REI camp seat on bucket we can let you borrow if you promise to clean :) Our tiny house is on the same property as this camper. We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourage guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.

Exceeded Expectations! Tim's property is stunning. Everything is very well maintained, the porta-potty is the cleanest and best smelling that I've ever experienced. The area is open, yet private. We had a sneaky visitor while we were gone one afternoon, help himself to a jar of peanut butter we mistakenly left out. Our Racoon camp buddy came back that night to sniff our tent and hang out in the bushes while we relaxed by the fire. The location is perfect. It's very close to one of the best beach spots along the southern Oregon Coast, Sunset Bay. While we didn't make use of the shower or sauna, we checked them out when we picked up firewood and chatted with Tim - they seemed clean and inviting. Tim was a great host - I had some vehicle issues that caused us to get in very late one night and impacted our departure time. He just gave us a jovial wave as we left. FYI - Lots of neat stuff to explore within the camping area - check out the creek! The ground was wet and slick; I tried as hard as I could to not spin-out in my truck, but unfortunately I left a few minor marks in Tim's beautifully maintained grass. Very sorry, Tim!

Tim's place was absolutely amazing, the endless possibilities and beautiful sounds and views 😍 we will be back. The sites where way bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice. We could hear the Elk and sea lions all night and the morning before we left we seen some whales just a couple of minutes down the road. It was an experience.

About 20 minutes drive . Charlatan is the closest town - Millers Cove - crab Louie Salad ! Coffee on the corner and Davey homes locker if you forgot anything ! The most amazing view to wake up to! Our 1 year old son had a blast roaming around the site and watching fishing boats on the river. Nicole and Brian were so welcoming and helpful! 10/10 recommend to anyone passing through the area!

The spot was easy to find. The view is really nice. We booked for only one night as we were just looking for a safe night to sleep while fishing the Siuslaw. We sat up our sleeping mats and blankets and slept inside the little tiny building in the property. We brought our own bathroom set up. It worked out really nice for what we needed. We will stay again!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat At Triangle Lake

I’ve been looking for a camp spot next to water for a very long time, and not only did I find it, it exceeded every expectation I could have. From the very first email to Brooke, to checking out Sunday morning waving bye to Tom our weekend at Creekside Retreat was incredible. The campground is stunning, beautifully maintained, and packed full of activities from board games to hiking to a waterfall. The hosts have taken their hearts and souls and embedded it into this retreat and it shows through all the details. Not only will this be my favorite spot forever, it’s the one I’ll be telling everyone about. Thank you for the best weekend away! The appreciation I have for Brooke and Tom for what they have done here is unmatched. If I could give it 10 stars I would! Thank you, thank you!!
