There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. has a rustic firepit and your own deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river.  Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get a bit of barking from the dogs to the east for the 1st hour. I just want to be honest and warn you.

You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. You will want to consider bringing the following... Weekend Trip to Zen Garden Sanctuary Spa

These guys put the hip in #hipcamp. Jim was a wonderful and engaging host. We stayed in the caboose and the highlights were hanging out with the host and his friends, the sauna, and hot tub. If you are bringing kids maybe check with the host or Eric on the vibe before coming. It is a beautiful property and you can tell Jim has put a lot of thought, effort, and himself in the place. We hope to return, go Hoosiers!

The spot was easy to find. The view is really nice. We booked for only one night as we were just looking for a safe night to sleep while fishing the Siuslaw. We sat up our sleeping mats and blankets and slept inside the little tiny building in the property. We brought our own bathroom set up. It worked out really nice for what we needed. We will stay again!
