Our Garden & Galaxy Retreat in Portland, OR is a stunner. It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. The queen bed is super comfortable and there is a small desk filled with maps of nearby places to play. There is a small cabinet outfitted with slippers to slip on and take the path to the garden pergola - the swinging twin bed or the main house. Follow us at @gardengalaxypdx
My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

This camper is new and well-stocked. It has heating and AC. The bathroom is small, but is hooked up to the city sewage. Note the bed is an RV queen size. Wifi is free. The camper is located between St Johns and Kenton in charming North Portland. It is safely located in the backyard of the property, and is surrounded by tall fences and shrubbery, allowing for absolute privacy. Beautiful yard with outdoor dining area and hot tub access (hot tub available starting September 2025). We are located a half a block away from the historic Columbia Park, with a long walking path through mature Doug firs, sports fields, pickleball courts and a play area/splash pad in the summer. There are many wonderful restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops located nearby. The neighborhood is safe and we have free parking. We are pretty quiet here:)

It isn't a quiet street and there are vehicles all hours.
While it isn't something they can control, they have neighbors who like to party into the night.
Having said that, if quiet isn't necessary for you, it is a fine place to sleep.

Ritchie was a great host! He made sure I had all the info I needed to comfortable in the camper, since I was getting in late at night and he wouldn't be able to show me in person. His home is in a nice neighborhood, next to a huge, beautiful park! I came without a car and had no problem accessing public transit from this location.
The camper itself was exactly what I needed: a comfortable, private place to sleep while I was in the city. The bed was comfy, and the shower was a godsend after a day of hiking and exploring the city. I definitely plan to stay here again, and I would recommend this to other solo travelers or a couple who doesn't mind being cozy.

My husband and I absolutely loved our 2 night tent stay. It was like a page out of a fairy tale. Quite, no bugs, private, level ground for our tent and surrounded by these beautiful hazel nut trees. Thanks for providing us with such a lasting memory. We were actually scheduled for a public campground and at the last minute read some awful reviews so had to come up with something quick and found this amazing gem on HipCamp! My kids had a wonderful time from start to finish! They immediately noticed all the small touches throughout the site and found adventure discovering the different activities the land had to offer. Recommend to two friends before we were there even 24hrs and will continue to do so😁
Feels private and secluded but many things are near by should you need anything.
Moriah is kind and responsive - her husband brought up some shavings for the potty with their youngest and they were friendly as well!

Shane’s campsites are both affordable and very relaxing and private. It was lovely to sleep in the orchard, and the goats and horses are definitely a plus. There is access to hammocks if you want to sleep under the stars, or just enjoy your afternoon with a good book. Shane is friendly and an excellent communicator. He went above and beyond for our family. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rossi Farms! Chill vibe, delicious fruits and beautiful flowers. Our girls loved the goats! Facilities are basic but fine. We parked our RV here and used public transport to get to city center. We would recommend to take the bus towards the Parkrose Transit Center and to go to downtown from there. The bus the other way around doesn’t go through a nice area. All in all would definitely recommend!
