Our farm is nestled in the Honey Grove Creek valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove Trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options.
Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 2.25 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park.
The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin.
Other features include a fire pit, sauna, and creek access for cold dips and kid play. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests.
The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts but guests are welcome with permission from the hosts.
The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few (or many) spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and Newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards.
The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit for an extra $15/day which includes the firewood. There are complimentary tables, BBQ, chairs. Did you know the coolest porta-party in the galaxy awaits your visit? Yep, true.
Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit.
We ask if the ground is wet (rain for 24+ hrs) you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideout. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get a bit of barking from the dogs to the east for the 1st hour. I just want to be honest and warn you.

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.**
If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond.
There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property.
Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way?
Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Petra was a great host. Her dog Brindle, although deaf, was a sweetheart. We had the Hillside camp site. The fairy lights to the site were welcoming. We had a young buck and doe visit us both days of our stay. Blackberry bushes surrounded the back side of the camp and we helped ourselves to a handful of ripe ones. We left with a carton of farm fresh chicken eggs. Highly recommend this property. A great Hipcamp!! Rare to find a spot with full hookups that provides: Beautiful far views with stunning morning and evening light. Majestic Heritage Oak tree. Set up is far enough from the host’s home to provide a lot of privacy and there are no other nearby neighbors. Easy in and out, level area, could accommodate a very large motorhome. Nearby Brownsville will remind you of Mayberry (if you’re old enough to catch the reference). Not very far from Eugene which has a lot to offer as well including 19 miles of bike trails along the City Parks, neighborhoods and Willamette River. Back at our comfy Hipcamp I loved hearing the cows moo in the distance. And the Pioneer Cemetery next door is not to be missed! We strolled through it one evening and the host is right on: Don’t think creepy. Think history and connection to the people who were adventurous and hearty enough to build this place.

Weekend Trip to Santiam Serenity
We spent our 12th anniversary in this lovely little cabin. It’s just what we needed! You can sit on the porch and see the water, hear all the birds. Short walk to small creek. It’s like being on your own island! Great water area for kiddos and adults. Tons of little fishes, rocks, and quiet. Short walk to Santiam river as well. We will be back!!

I really can’t say enough about how incredible Brandi’s property is! Truly Shangri-La & such a memorable experience. A well-marked dirt Road opens onto a beautifully cleared & maintained creek embankment w/ 2 campsites sprawled on opposite sides of a sweet communal meadow.
Brandi has thought of everything. Well, maintaining the charm & remote feeling of camping, the little added comforts, made it, especially relaxing for me with my young kiddos: hammocks, croquet, a swing, comfortable patio chairs around the picnic table plus, solar lights — especially smart — a strip of Astroturf beneath the tent area for extra comfort & cleanliness.
Then there’s the emerald swimming hole. Absolutely dreamy, I miss it already.
Brandi was so pleasant and welcoming, & you can tell she truly cherishes this land & sharing its beauty with her guests.
This was my first hipcamp experience & it set the bar incredibly high! Not only will I use Hipcamp again, I can’t wait to return to this exact site & swimming hole. My five-year-old said “Mom, can we come back here every time, like once a week?”

Our first impression was that a lot of thought and care went into creating this site. The rocks were carefully arranged in the creek to create multiple spillways, producing the peaceful sound of cascading water throughout the campsite. It was incredibly relaxing.

We enjoyed the quiet and solitude during our 2-night visit to Rock Crick Acres.
Scott could not have been more helpful and kind.
The dogs on the property to the East barked often, but they usually stopped after a few minutes, and Scott did mention this beforehand.
The crick was not accessible to my elderly relative, but Scott did explain before I booked it that it may be difficult for someone with mobility issues to navigate the paths to the crick.
I only note it here so future campers are aware.
My dog enjoyed all the open space and all the different areas to explore. She had so much fun that she did not want to leave.
I did not want to leave either. What a beautiful place. Thanks for a great visit!
