The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Our garden/event area is prefect for children to play or gathering for a visit. There's firewood available which you may purchase here on the HipCamp site. There are plenty of animals to love. We have horses to brush, ride and feed. You may also see a dog, cat and free-range chickens. Did I happen to mention that we have a pet pig? Yes, Miss Piggy!! We are all about the animals and hoping to create wonderful memories for you and your family.

I highly recommend; I’ve stayed in multiple b&bs + camping locations in Portland, and this has by far been the best. This hipcamp is everything — it’s beyond cute, it’s in a good location, it has all the major amenities, and has the warmest host. We felt so safe here and so creative. The size was perfect for two people and one tiny dog, and it’s obvious that a great deal of care has been integrated into every detail of this airstream.

The little A-frame structure was perfect for my needs and stood up well to some pretty blustery weather on my first day. It takes a minute to locate the structure if you arrive in the dark and rain, as I did, but once I was oriented, all was well. Definitely recommend this instead of a tent if you're coming at a time of year when the weather is a bit unpredictable.

Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to. QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We are also surrounded by wineries within 20-30 minutes in any direction and only 45 minutes from the popular South East Portland featuring world renowned food drinks and entertainment.

🔥 Camp Festivus is a unique 1926 Vintage cabin that has been thoughtfully restored, featuring a stone (Steiner) fireplace, reclaimed barnwood and 6 person hot tub all on a private creekside acre. 💧Challenge your nerve by swimming in Clear Creek or relax in the hot tub over looking the water. Indulge your inner slug, grab a book and read in the hammock. 🎣 Feeling lucky, you can try fishing in the back yard or walk across the street to see if they are biting in the Sandy River. Afterwards you can cook up what you catch at the outdoor fire pit or grill, then fall asleep to the sound of water or gaze at the old growth trees or creek view from every window. 🎿 You can throw down your gear or tune your bike or skis in our large heated mudroom, and toast s'mores out back or come inside and listen to your favorite music via Spotify or watch a movie on one of our flat screen TV's. Do you want a bit more privacy for the adults, then the kids can go down to the comfy TV room with flat screen, dvd player and stereo, there are tons of pillows and fold out mats to relax, watch movies, or listen to music. 🪑 The iron and woodwork and much of the furniture have been custom designed and produced to maximize the beauty of the cabin as well as the surrounding area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen that will accommodate 8 people comfortably at meal time, a living room that centers around the fireplace, a sitting room that provides both an extension of the living room and a connection to the covered deck and the creek out back. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. The main bedroom, with a queen bed, has its own bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and an annex bedroom with both a full size bed and a trundle below. There is also the upstairs loft space, which has two full sized beds each with their own trundle bed. In addition, there is a bonus space downstairs with it own full sized day bed that stays nice and cool in the summer, but needs a little pre-heating in the winter months to be comfortable for most folks. Just 30 min to SE Portland, 45 to PDX, 40 to Gorge waterfalls, and 1 hour to Mt. Hood. The space Inside, you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay. The tiny home has two levels: the ground floor includes a living area, kitchenette, and bathroom, and the bedroom is upstairs, accessed by a steep staircase. The loft has a queen bed, clean linens, and windows that bring in natural light. The bathroom includes a composting toilet designed for tiny living. It’s easy to use, odor-free, and water-saving, with clear instructions provided. I live in the main house on the property, but you’ll have full privacy. The tiny home has its own entrance and outdoor space, and I won’t enter your area. Many guests say it feels like their own private cabin. Guests appreciate the rustic design, warm lighting, and efficient layout that makes the space feel larger than expected. Step outside to your patio for fresh air and quiet views, or explore the property and pick apples or grapes for a small taste of Oregon’s countryside. Guest access You’ll have full private access to the tiny home and your own outdoor area. The property is shared with the main house, but your entrance and guest spaces are completely separate. A shared washer and dryer are available in the main house if needed. Parking is on-site, just a short walk from the studio entrance. Other things to note House Rules: No smoking or vaping inside. This is a working hobby farm with small construction projects, chickens and a crowing rooster who love to escape their fence and wander around.
