Beautiful place for a couples retreat nice and quiet all hours of the day with plenty of activities to do around. Host were very polite and are fast responders if anything is needed with the place. Would recommend the place to friends and family 5/5. Definitely going back for a second adventure:)

We loved staying at the yurt! It was the perfect retreat to disconnect and relax. Andrew was very helpful with explaining how everything works and we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything while staying there. Nearby hikes and creek are beautiful, the yurt was cozy, and the shower was private while still letting you watch banana slugs and listen to the robins sing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay and it was at a great price. I will say if you're a non-outdoors person like it's definitely more glamping then camping - lots of inside bugs and a limited cooking situation. Regardless, we expected that and it was still a fun time

Weekend Trip to Lane Creek Reserve

I love this farm !!!!! I only stopped for a quick stop over as I needed to get to Santa Cruz for work, but it was absolutely lovely and relaxing. What is interesting, and I am not sure how it was accomplished, but this is a true working farm with sheep, goats, cows, horses, and chickens literally 200 feet away and I did not see ONE BUG or fly the whole time I was there! It was 82 degrees, a wonderful breeze through the tent screens (cooled down when the sun went down!) so I would absolutely expect some bugs around somewhere, but nada ! I didn't expect that, but it was nice 🌸 I plan to stay again but hopefully for 2-3 days to get some quality time on the farm. Easy to find and great communicator. Also great dinner recommendation from Lara ! Bonus points ❤️❤️

3 nights at Lane Creek Reserve

We absolutely loved our time at Lara’s farm! The glamping tent was cute and comfortable. The bathroom and shower room were quality and just a short walk from the tent. The farm animals and the land were the highlight of our stay - from the sheep to the cows, farm dogs and cats, we loved being surrounded by their noises and watching them. The add-ons we selected were well worth it! We enjoyed the farm to tent breakfast and charcuterie board. Lara was the most gracious host and we loved chatting with her and meeting her kiddos! She gave wonderful suggestions for hikes and restaurants in the area. After staying on the farm, we are dreaming of having a similar set up someday!! Thank you for having us!!

Beautiful property, wonderful amenities, great for dogs, Gnome Dome is very cute and cozy, but only a little better than tent camping so I don't know if Id stay again just due to the price. I would definitely go back and try out some of the other stays though! It’s truly magic, the swimming hole is amazing! Host was so helpful and kind, definitely a great place overall!

This site was delightful! We weren’t sure if the cabin would be finished in time for our stay, but were very pleased to discover it was ready. Wonderfully cozy inside, lots of thoughtful little touches, and the whole layout was so well put together. Loved all the different seating platforms, the fire pit area, the outdoor shower with great water pressure, and the fact that there was a grill, plates, utensils, and anything else you could need already stocked. Lovely spot in the woods and beautiful sunset. Would absolutely recommend - but watch out for poison oak during May-June season. Hope to be back soon!

1 night at Crater Lake Private Woodlands

Daniel’s land was a real find! It was the perfect getaway for my wife and 6 year old. We wanted to get away to a beautiful quiet spot and it was just that - exceeded expectations. The A frame is beautifully built and the perch overlooking the pond is serene. Can’t go wrong with the hammock and propane grill either. Communication and directions were super clear. Would definitely return!

My friend and I really enjoyed our time at the updated cabin! The forest there is really beautiful and the cabin is very secluded. The views of the river were nice and there were plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy those views from! The property is very close to some nice public parks on the river, so spending a day swimming and lounging on the riverside is very easy! Would definitely stay here again!

This is our second stay with Kit and as usual it was magical! We love coming to stay and it has become one of our favorite places. This time we explored Ashland and just read and enjoyed the quiet. Our 5.5 year old enjoyed exploring the outside areas, turning over rocks, looking in the creek, etc. He said he wants to “stay for forever”!

I had a great time staying in the yurt! It was so cozy with everything you need, and super affordable. The outdoor shower and ethernet cables were both really nice touches, being able to take a hot shower and check my emails was appreciated. I saw the most beautiful sunset over the mountains from the porch of the yurt, and at night there were so many stars. The creek across the street was fun to check out as well.

We had an amazing stay at Lane Creek. Lara is an awesome host, we felt immediately welcomed and taken care of. The property is incredible, and while usually we tent camp, we decided to go with one of the glamping experiences this time around and it did not disappoint. Our dog enjoyed sniffing around and lounging in the sun. We look forward to returning!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Waterfront In The Forest

We received fresh farm eggs and milk! This was so amazing! There were already eggs waiting for us when we showed up and Anthony brought us more. My family booked the cabin across the way and noise doesn't travel far, so it was quiet. Lovely view over the small lake. Absolutely beautiful area.

The cabin was one of the best places we have stayed at in awhile. The place had everything one family could ask for at a place. The reservoir was across the road. A great place for fishing. A Water fall not to far away. The property itself is beautiful and serene. There are amenities that are available and still has the comfort like home. We are coming back for sure it is the perfect spot for a small break from life. Thank you for providing this place.

Weekend Trip to Lane Creek Reserve

Very beautiful farm with rolling hills and a view of Mt. McLaughlin on a clear day (you’ll know what I mean when you stand at that point in the farm). They just installed a 3 burner propane range which is great for cooking with a sink and fridge right next to it. We stayed in the Ancient Oak glamping tent. It got down to 40 degrees one night, but we stayed warm with the propane heater in the tent. Shower is great and spacious with warm water. They have sheep, cows, chickens, and a baby goat and kitty that were really cute. The kitty followed us around all the time. We love this area of Oregon. Lots of farms and wineries in the area for fresh eats and drinks. Lara is a gracious host. My only recommendation is to add a mirror in the shower area.

We are a two hour drive to the coast through the redwoods. We border Pacifica Gardens (pacificagarden.org) an incredible place to explore, hike or fish. We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Firebird Ridge presents a fantastic secluded camp station in a beautiful semi-wild setting with huge open sky views over 50 miles of the Klamath River canyon and Siskiyou Crest. Just 10 minutes off the freeway, a variety of simple thoughtfully laid out sites afford comfy car and tent camping or smaller RVs and vans, with ample privacy. Small to medium size (5-15p) groups may combine sites and enjoy some shared space and amenities, please inquire. **04/25: entry road has 1 mile bumpy section awaiting maintenance** At an elevation just under 3000 feet, the Ridge gets lots of sun, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. This is a drier climate between May and October, meaning some fire risk and potential smoke impacts in area forests, although the mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. The land contains over a mile of scenic trails with rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers in a landscape undergoing restoration to healthy diverse fire resistant conditions. Wildlife abounds, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. Count on fair to good cell service, wifi and power are centrally accessible too. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms. It's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. This extends to the neighborhood as well, especially on the road in/out where it's important to keep your speed (dust, noise etc) DOWN in the vicinity of houses. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Youth visitors are welcome but must be supervised and receptive to guidelines. This location is not set up (yet) for people with mobility challenges, or people with no prior wilderness experience.

Suncatcher is a small food forest and homestead, located creek side in Southern Oregon. We are located 3 miles east of exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. We are a food forest, Suncatcher Food Forest! We tend to an established fruit orchard, pasture, veggie gardens, a pond with ducks, and a small flock of egg laying hens. We are inspired by permaculture practices and are always working on turning the property into a food forest with an off-grid guesthouse and lots of fun natural building projects. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. We make and sell refined sugar free fruit jam along with produce and sprouted and stoneground nut butters at local farmer's markets. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, seasonal fruit jam, and sprouted nut butter. We are located just 4 miles down creek from the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species. A 20-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods where you can dine, hike, and kayak. Crater Lake National Park is 50 miles away.

Each deck has furniture, umbrellas with misting system, lights, and fire pits. You can see the outdoor movie screen from each tipi deck. We have a giant outdoor movie screen with epic sound system because hey, we don’t have any neighbors and we can have some fun for family reunions and parties, weddings or any other gatherings that mean something special to you. We also have an axe throwing station, hammocks, pickle ball court, basketball, trampoline, badminton, corn hole, garden, two ponds, one is a lily pond the other is very big and we have two pedal boats, a paddle board, floating island, float toys, and a floating deck and 155 acres of private hiking and mushroom foraging. This specific piece of land holds very special energy. Guests have plenty of activities, comfortable beds, lots of oxygen because we are tucked into a forest, and a peaceful off grid environment. You will also drink fresh spring water filtered through one of the finest filtration systems, The Berkey Filters. All of these factors contribute to very good sleep. Our guests biggest compliment is how well they sleep. We are also 15 minutes away from the Rogue River! We offer tours to the Redwoods, Oregon coast, Oregon caves, and a Rogue River scenic drive, The ghost town of Golden and the Wolf Creek tavern, which has been on the tv show Ghost Adventures. The cost of the tours depend on the cost of gas at the time of the tour. We have a fully loaded outdoor kitchen with hot running water, community mini fridge, induction cook tops, pots and pans, silverware, cups, dishes, coffee maker, popcorn maker, coffee grinder, spices and a spice rack, paella pans, pizza maker, bbqs both propane and charcoal, dish rack, cleaning supplies, mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, and most cooking utensils that are used regularly. On Saturdays we set up a crafting table so kids and adults can paint, build, sculpt and create cool things to take home. We offer fresh eggs with advance notice and offer goodies from our garden and fruit trees when in season. We do not charge to use pedal boats, Pickleball, paddle boards or any other activities on the property. Yoga classes are donation based. We pick up from the Rogue Valley Medford International airport for a fee and welcome solo and world travelers. We are a dog friendly resort. If you have an aggressive dog you will be required to keep your dog on a leash. There is an additional fee for dogs. We have animals on the property including dogs, lots of birds including two handsome peacocks, deer, and squirrels. There could be cougars, wolves, foxes and bears in the surrounding forest area although we never see them and we do have a barrier.

Dreams of something better. Dreams of awakening. Laughing Mountain is the dream of the people, it is not Bryan or Terrah’s alone, we are simply here healing with it, and you. We weren’t aware of the sentience and trauma of the land at first, only our own need for healing, and desire to help others heal in the ways we’d found healing, by creating a sacred space in nature for everyone to use. As we began this dance of chaos with the land and all things residing in it and around it, we realized the land was as spiritually sick as we were. A microcosm of planet Earth, it has been raped, pillaged and neglected, it’s future never considered, it’s native stewards murdered, all in the name of greed. After 2 years of profound breakthroughs, mind bending healing ceremonies, confusion, emotional melt downs, everything malfunctioning one after another and questioning our choice to be here, we couldn’t help but feel like we were being sabotaged by something… We were. She was trying to get our attention, as were all of the negative energies trapped here. Suddenly an epiphany struck us both, in the thick muck of a terrible physical and energetic rut, we knew we needed to heal the energy that had been left lingering here from all of the traumatic events that happened all around us for hundreds of years. Just like us, trauma was trapped inside her from other people, just like the ancestral trauma we all suffer from on planet Earth. This is when we realized the land had called us here to help it, and in turn it would help us heal too….and it has. We now know we are exactly where we are supposed to be. When you come to this living mountain, speak kindly to her, she hears you, honor the Takilma ancestors who came before us, the plants and the trees the snakes and the bees, because we are all in this together. There is no you or me, there is only us and we. You and I are one being united in our desire for balance and peace on this planet, let’s walk together and support each other on this journey back into the welcoming arms of our own divinity. A little about our land; GPS will not take you to the right place, it tries to use roads that don't exist anymore so we give coordinates for the beginning of our road. We send you coordinates, very detailed directions, troubleshooting tips, and photo maps we made. As long as you successfully used the coordinates its easy. There is no service here for the most part, mile marker 4 on the main road gets service if you need it! We have a brand new beautiful shower, outhouses that look like bird houses, a sink and picnic tables and a ceremony space. We have two new Bell Tents we are creating listings for, one 13ft with its own outhouse and tucked away from the rest of the campground in a beautiful spot and a 10ft one closer to the main camping area, which contains a sink, 2 outhouses and picnic tables. There are several camp spots for you to pitch your own tent! we never have more than 2 groups of campers at a time and no more than 4 people each. Our driveway is steep, fancy and low riding cars, electric cars, and inexperienced drivers BEWARE!! We highly recommend 4WD!!! If you have 2WD and it rains which in the summer it never does but we have had late rains this year, we can shuttle you up the driveway and lock the car behind the gate. there is also a beautiful camp spot on the creek at the bottom of the driveway if you want to camp there, you will not have ammeneties down there. We are in the mountains, the roads here are windy and narrow for a few miles, if this makes you nervous I don't recommend it. We recently became WWOOF hosts, if you’re interested in WWOOFING or helping us with any projects we can discuss additional free nights! I need help creating a garden, planting trees, creating soil, artist for painting/murals, composting, nature art, creating beautiful camp sites, medicine making, all of the infrastructure needs replaced from solar to pluming and we’re building a tiny house eventually too so there’s something to learn for everyone! FYI there are small pockets of poison oak here but I keep the sites and trails as clear as I can. Our Creation Story; Our part of this living dream began long ago before either of us were born, in the cries of our ancestors, their fear and suffering imprinted into their DNA and passed down for centuries. These mementoes of trauma left to awaken in us as mental illness, autism, and addiction. This dream for us both, began as a nightmare we called life and it would be a long dark road before we found our light. Sometimes beauty is born of ugly. Bryan and I are the male and female aspects of the same suffering, each choice for freedom from our suffering bringing our paths closer to alignment. We both experienced trauma induced severe physical mystery illnesses around the same time as well, which only drove us deeper into our healing journeys. It all started with a prison break. From lands and people that did not support our freedom of spirit or growth of that spirit, far across the country from this very different world we now live in. Oregon and California feel like another country to me. The freedom of creative self expression as I drove through the southwest and bummed around on Cali beaches was life changing, healing and inspiring. The universe smiled upon us both as we would escape to the same place around the same time, with the same dream of helping the world heal. With nothing but a dream of mending our own broken hearts, no money, no jobs, no place to go to, just utilizing our WWOOF work trading accounts to act as a compass for the universe to create the miracle that was our eventual meeting in the sleepy NorCal beach town of Crescent City California. This dream is still in its infancy, a 2.5 year old toddler wild and free, testing its limits and falling on its face…a lot. We’ve spent the entirety of our time here navigating our relationships to ourselves, each other, our neighbors, our dream for this land and the land itself. It’s been a clumsy walk and we only now are finding our equilibrium and beginning to find a balanced pace here. Living off grid is very difficult to those who don’t know! Light switches do not always turn on at the flip of the switch or toilets flush, you actually have to build infrastructures yourself and maintain them, you are the power company, water and gas. There is no garbage collection either so we ask that you put thought into what you bring here, let’s lay down our disposable lifestyle and be mindful of Mother Nature and the need to be responsible for our waste. Only when you remove yourself from the convenience of modern life do you truly grasp how distant we have become from our origins, how stressed and careless. We rarely think about our impact on the world around us. We desire to share this place with people so they too can awaken to the myriad of responsibilities we have forsaken and the people and land and animals and insects we harm in our wake, and also the love we can give and receive from the living land all around us. We are only working toward this, we still use gasoline, phones, plastic, but we are aware of its unsustainable nature and are moving in the direction of sustainability and regeneration. We hope that while you are here walking our many trails through the forest that it awakens you and inspires you to join us on this journey and make change in the world, but first you must make change in your mind and heart, and that starts with healing your trauma. We offer this space to all who come here because we believe healing should not be a capitalist commodity. We have dedicated our lives, money, time and sometimes sanity to this cause and we are grateful to anyone who would like to volunteer on any of our many projects! There is also so many amazing Wineries in the area; You can enjoy a day of tasty wines and cheeses. You will find a guide book in your Cabin with a bunch of local suggestions. Dogs: If you plan in bringing pets, you MUST pay the required pet fee. We have certain linen/ bedding and extra cleaning needs to be done to respect people who have allergies to dogs. WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR HOT TUB AND AMENITIES: Guest understands that there are special health risks that may be involved in using the hot tub, as well as safety risks using other areas of the cabin (fire pit, barbeque and firebox as examples). In particular, he or she understands that there are potential dangers that these amenities may present to children who are not carefully supervised as well as danger to any person using the hot tub if a person has health risks, is intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or if pregnant. The hot tub should be kept at a temperature that is less than 104 for personal safety. Guest agrees to explain the risks of using the amenities and hot tub to any guests at the cabin and to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents, medical conditions or injuries his or her guests may incur. Guest understands the risks discussed above and agrees that he or she will assume all responsibility for his or herself and their guests for the consequences of those risks. Guest agrees to waive any claim whatsoever against Owner for accidents, medical conditions or claims arising from his or her own use or guests’ use of the cabin amenities or hot tub. Guest also understands and agrees that he or she is responsible and liable and will pay Owner upon request for any damages that occur to the cabin amenities and hot tub and its support equipment through his or her own or guests’ misuse and/or negligence, for example, but not limited to, using the incorrect detergents in the dishwasher or clothes washer, neglecting to extinguish all fires in the grill or fire pit, failing to replace and secure the hot tub cover, walking on or otherwise damaging the hot tub cover, or damaging the hot tub filtration system with foreign objects, soaps or oils, or causing excessive water overflow.
