The cabin was comfortable and the loft serene. We slept like babes and enjoyed the double rainbow in the sky. The outdoor seating area was pleasant and the lighting outside was a nice touch. The compost toilet worked well. My wife liked the bathhouse. We hope to return.

Exceeded all expectations for my husband and I! After a 10 day roadtrip, having a beautiful, CLEAN, curated space that met all the glamping needs was to say the least, wonderful! Not to mention the comfy bed, amazing self check in, coffee and tea, clean and beautiful restroom I could go on! 10/10 !!

We loved staying at the cabin! It’s super nice, clean and modern and the loft bed was really cool. The bathroom is a half-minute walk from the cabin, super close, clean and updated looking. Cara is very sweet, responsive and helpful. The property felt very safe and peaceful. We’d definitely come back!

This is such a great stop on the way to SF from Portland! Hands down much more enjoyable and authentic than staying in a cheesy hotel off the interstate. The cabin was very well done with lots of cute touches, an incredible view to enjoy sunset and sunrise, and welcoming dogs on top of it all! Also, the bathhouse might be my favorite hipcamp bathhouse yet. Highly recommend one night or more if you’re staying in Ashland or just stopping on your way through to somewhere else.

Beautiful views. The stars at night were an awesome bonus. Cute little cabin get away with some friendly sheep close by. Just what my little family needed.
The cabin was cozy. And thank the Gods for the AC unit. It was a hot stay, but that kept us comfortable. We enjoyed the crickets at night, and heard some coyote near by. Our first morning we were greeted by a sweet doe munching on her breakfast.
The outside seating area was a nice place to relax and play some games together. The fire pit is an added bonus for night time relaxing.

This adorable cabin was just what our family needed! Cara has added many thoughtful details, including everything we needed for coffee in the mornings and cold beverages waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived. She had made up the futon as bed before we checked in so that everything was ready for the four of us to stay. The bath house is a short walk from the cabin and is thoughfully detailed. Hipcampers should note that this stay is a little on the rustic side (cabin reached by short path going up hill), but also extremely clean, cute as a button, and the hosts responds within minutes to any question or request.

Howling Acres Ranch was the retreat we needed to start our honeymoon. Cara’s property is tucked in a quaint little town with plenty to do locally, yet preserves a feeling of seclusion with beautiful views.
Along with the expected accommodations, there was more than we needed: extra blankets, towels (which we forgot to pack), a single electric burner, a French press, coffee grounds, an electric kettle, and mugs.
During the day we found ourselves lounging on the spacious and comfortable futon on the ground level.
At night we exited through the sliding glass doors which open up to the outdoor patio area. This space was perfect for an evening outside, as there was a gas fire pit and string lights overhead.
Within eyesight of the cabin is the bathroom area, comprised of a compost toilet, a sink, and a shower. The space was clean and well maintained.
Cara was friendly and responsive through out our stay. And there was even a friendly dog to greet us when we arrived. The property was easy to find and instructions were clear. All in all we highly recommend booking this spot. Wether you are a traveler looking for a place to lay your head, or a local looking for an evening of glamping, this spot will meet your needs. Our honeymoon wouldn’t have been the same without it.

We enjoyed everything about our stay! The little cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. Sitting outside with the stars and the fire was so relaxing. The outdoor bathroom and shower were literally the best we’ve ever been in. Cara was very understanding of our shy dog too. We highly recommend this stay!

Was nice being able to explore the area and have a cozy place to camp out for the night that allowed dogs. Directions were easy to follow to get there, and the space was quiet and relaxing. There were some welcome drinks in the fridge and menus to local restaurants as well. We brought our camp stove and cooked inside, and had some dishes to use. Got to try some local coffee in the french press as well. The bed in the loft was comfy and we felt like this was perfect size for two people and a dog - there is also a futon at the bottom that could fit another 1-2 people. Had cell phone service/data as well which is a plus!

Cara’s cabin was so nicely done and set up for us. It was one of the best stays of our very long trip. The AC was amazing, outdoor bathroom so perfect! Even liked the loft upstairs which Cara made up so well. An amazing host and beautiful stay. Thank you, Cara, for making it so special for us!

The house was exactly what we needed, we just need a quick stop over. Beautiful, peaceful location right between Medford and Ashland. Cara was very accomedating to our last minute reservation. Bathroom and shower are very cool (well done).

This spot is a gem! Beautiful space out in the country but close to town. Really cute little tiny home that is very clean and comfortable. Not set up for cooking but there is a fridge to keep food and drinks cool. You are so close to plenty of cute restaurants for meals or can do no cook meals like charcuterie. The outside sitting area is really nice, with the fireplace and lighting.
There is a coffee and tea cart for the morning and a futon couch for relaxing or as a second sleeping spot. There is a comfortable bed up in the loft and the space has air conditioning! It was so hot on the 4th of July when I stayed but the space was very comfortable and cool.
The shower house is right near the outside sitting area. Very clean composting toilet and a really nice hot water shower! I was so blessed to come a relax at this sweet spot.

The sweet new cabin on Cara's gorgeous land in the hills of Talent was wonderful! The bed was cozy, the outdoor set up felt magical, the coffee was delicious. The bathroom/shower was even delightful. I highly recommend Cara's space. We hope to return.

My son and I were so relieved to drop into Cara’s comfy cabin after our long drive from Seattle.
The place is so quiet, yet close to facilities, about 15 minutes drive out of central Ashland. The Cabin feels really private, perched on the side of the hill out of direct sight of any other houses, with a gorgeous view over the Rogue valley with distant golden hills and divine sunset hues. There are 2 queen sized beds- one up a ladder in the loft, and the other a fold out couch, SO comfortable, we had the best sleeps there since we’ve been away from home.
Cara was a wonderful host, sharing great local knowlege about things to do in the area, and happily helped us out with a few things we needed.
Everything was clean, and the hand made cedar bathroom pod was brand new with the most smell less composting toilet I’ve ever used (and I’ve used a few!)
Highly recommend this place, and will definitely stay again if we are ever passing through.
