GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site for 1 RV. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a composting TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot. -There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. The property and common areas including picnic and fire areas were expansive and beautiful. The indoor kitchen/bath area was super convenient and clean. The sites don't offer alot of privacy but even with both spots taken there's plenty of space to have pets and although one spot is right in front of the house it was very quiet (need a long cord to plug into that spot). Would be a great tent camping location too. Dog barking is low tone didn't bother us a bit. Would definitely go back.

This was the perfect place for the maiden voyage with our travel trailer! The property is peaceful, charming, and offers beautiful countryside views. One of our favorite spots was the grove of magnificent old oak trees, complete with a rustic tree swing that was the perfect place to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. Having access to the barn with a flush toilet and hot shower was such a welcome convenience after a day outdoors. Rachel was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcome while also giving us plenty of privacy. It was the perfect balance. If you're looking for a quiet, scenic getaway, I highly recommend staying here. We would happily return!

This was a beautiful spot to stay. We enjoyed the views and the horses. Even with the horses nearby we didn't notice any unpleasant smells or flies. It was a peaceful and quite spot. Would highly recommend it.

What a beautiful property! We had a lovely weekend camping with friends on Rachel's land. Rachel was extremely welcoming when we arrived or when we had questions, and she left us to ourselves otherwise. The "hall" was so helpful; we were able to do our KP in the big sink and lay out our dishes to dry. The bathroom with a wide counter was wonderful as well! We used the firepit one night and enjoyed having a campfire under the stars. We went to Molalla River State Park one day and Hoot disc golf course the next, and otherwise hung out on the property and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The only thing that could be considered negative is that the guard dogs do, in fact, bark at night, but it was truly not a problem for us. Rachel is very up front about the dogs and even provides earplugs, which is fantastic. I did not use the earplugs and I slept fine. I always wake up several times my first night sleeping in a new place, and the dogs were certainly a part of that for me, but no more than any other noises. The dogs only woke me up one of the other nights, but I was able to fall asleep again right away. Unless you are a very light sleeper opposed to using earplugs, the dogs should not be a problem. This would be a great place to camp with a group of friends or family - plenty of room for tents and trailers, and a big field in which to run around. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing such a beautiful weekend with us!

We loved the mountain views, the wildflower meadows to roam through, and the blooming brilliance of the lavender fields to sit in at sunset while sipping a beverage. Mornings Mr. Rooster alert us of the coming sunrise, afternoons the mustang horse and highland cows grazed lazily outside our trailer door, the bullfrog croak lull us to sleep each night.

A very beautiful, quiet, and simple spot. Need to be self-contained. We had a neighbor’s dog visit around 2am to bark his disapproval about our presence, but otherwise it was a lovely location. Very close to Wapato NWR, which was a fun added bonus.

Highland cattle, alpacas, two ponies, a donkey, sheep and goats and those are only the domesticated animals. I also saw bunnies, Jack rabbits and a newt. And I know there was a bullfrog desperately seeking a mate! And then there were the beautiful sunsets, fields of Meadow Foam, flax and lavender plus tree farms. Really beautiful rolling hills and deep dark woods. Plus, the hosts were wonderful!!! Would absolutely choose to stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Buena Vista Lavender Farm

We had a 24 ft travel trailer which was very easy to maneuver and park. We came in the evening as the sun was setting. We had help from Connie’s husband & he explained everything to us when we arrived. Connie came down to feed the animals just after we arrived and showed my kiddos the animals & let them feed & pet them. There was a mustang horse, 2 highland cows, 2 large pigs, 2 alpacas, mini donkey, mini horse, many sheep (plus a baby!), many goats (lots of babies!), ducks, chickens, 2 Great Pyrenees farm dogs. The ducks had free range and they were soooo cute to watch. And beautiful colors! The animals here are very taken care of and happy. They are all very friendly & love the attention & snacks. We brought our dog & he was welcomed and got along well with all the other animals. We loved staying by the barn! Farm fresh eggs were a wonderful start to our day. We explored the entire property. The spot was exactly as described & we loved it. The weather was not the greatest, but we are from Washington so we know how to make the best with the rain. The farm is between silverton and silver falls state park, through beautiful scenery and homes. It’s obvious that people in Silverton take care of their city. There was a pet parade in town Saturday morning. There are fun shops and sites to see in town. The Gallon House Bridge has a cool history. We hiked the Ten Trails with the kids (no dogs allowed). The hike was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! We can’t wait to come back & see Lavender in bloom !
