GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6). Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site for 1 RV. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a composting TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot. -There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. Firewood is available on site for $10/night with an unlimited supply (or free if you want to gather downed limbs). - There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the COWZEBO for shade or for rainy days. I really enjoyed our stay at Connie’s lavender farm. Loved visiting with her highland cows, horses, mini-donkey, little pony, alpacas, goats, baby face sheep. Smokey and Bandit are very friendly dogs! Loved feeding the chickens and goats bread and apples for the cows and horses. So close to Silver Falls and such a nice family. Thank yoy

We received hospitality from the moment our phone call was made. The hosts went out of their way to help us with the internet booking which being seniors offered help for us. On arrival we were welcomed by a family member and the farm atmosphere gave peaceful vibes after an 1800 mile journey. The horses, cows, goats, chickens, llamas, bull and ducks truly were what we loved. Berry picking, pear picking and apple picking was just icing on the cake. The town of Siilverton was about 12 miles close by, quaint and welcoming. Lots of small shops. Stayed an extra night and glad we did.

This was a great Hipcamp experience for us. We loved that the horses were so close, the beautiful sunsets from the hilltop view, visits from Chloe the Corgi and the hospitality of Lee and Connie. Golf and hiking was close by and the towns were easy access.

Weekend Trip to Mt Hood Vanlife Oasis w/ Coworking!

This place is AWESOME!! They’ve really thought of everything. It’s like a badass hostel meets camping. It was nice to chat with other campers but it never felt like there wasn’t ample space/amenities to go around. Our van is simple with no bathroom so the amenities in the barn were so nice to have after hiking all day. The gym/living spaces/games were perfect on the rainy morning waiting for the weather to clear a bit. If there is something you’d want to do on some down time they probably have it in the barn… I swear they thought of everything. (Also, to call it a barn seems like underselling it… it’s really a beautiful space and so cozy!) The space and hosts are also very very dog friendly and our dogs enjoyed hanging out both inside and out. I wish we had explored the creek and trails but after hiking so much we were spent. It’s a great location close to Sandy and 30 mins from Government Camp with tons of hiking trails nearby. 10/10 recommend!!! Thanks so much for providing this beautiful place to spend our trip. We will be back!

1 night at Buena Vista Lavender Farm

It was a simple setup with 30-amp hookup and water, but it was exactly what we needed. All the farm animals were friendly and nice to have around. We are so grateful the owners let us leave our trailer on the side of the property while we went hiking for the afternoon and picked it up later that day. Sunset up the hill on the cemetery is a MUST if you can time it right! If hiking in the area again, I'd have no hesitation coming back here!

Wonderfully peaceful location with great views of the countryside, mountains, and sunsets. Close to Mt Angel and Silverton for all your needs. Ed and Paula were great hosts and would recommend this place to anyone.
