A 40-acre isolated forest paradise, our property has several places to dry camp with your tent or with your trailer/RV. We are close to Falls City, the vast wilderness of the Oregon Coast Range, Valley of the Giants, and are about a 15 minute drive from the cities of Dallas and Monmouth. We have two sites currently ready for camping with AMAZING views of the Oregon Coast Range with phone service, pets allowed if kept on leash (there are animals on neighboring properties), and a designated fire ring for fires if a fire ban is not in place. Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.**
If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way?

This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get a bit of barking from the dogs to the east for the 1st hour. I just want to be honest and warn you.

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6).
Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.
Your host Jim Toler represents the fifth generation of the farm and will happily share stories of the farm and it's history.
GeerCrest Farm is truly an off-the-beaten-path gem.

What a great little spot for tent camping! The creek was beautiful and peaceful, and the kids had a blast playing in it. Plenty of space to spread out, and not too close to the other camp site. The shared fire pit was nice and the outhouse was well maintained. The neighbor dogs popped up a couple times, but barking didn't last long.

We had an amazing time at **The Lazy Beaver**! The creek running through the campsite made it so peaceful and relaxing. We were pleasantly surprised that there were hardly any mosquitoes. The site was very private, with no other campers nearby, which made it even more enjoyable.
There are plenty of great trees for hanging hammocks and several perfect spots to set up a tent. Brandi was an incredible host. We arrived during a crazy thunder and lightning storm, and she made sure we had a canopy over the picnic table to keep everything dry. She truly went above and beyond.
Our dogs had a fantastic time too! One of my dogs is usually a runner, but I felt comfortable letting her explore off leash for a while because of how private and safe the campsite felt. They had so much fun that they were completely exhausted by the time we got home.

This is such an inviting camp with lots of little details to discover while you roam around. Having access to a porta potty is really nice and getting my camper van flat was a breeze with the land being very well kept and mostly flat all around. The dedicated fire pit was perfect for roasting hot dogs for dinner, and the sound of the creek nearby put us all to sleep. I would absolutely recommend camping here if you're looking for a cozy, family friendly spot.

Beautiful riverside campsite on a gorgeous farm property. Lori was such a gracious host and took amazing care of my dog and I! The privacy of the sites is amazing. I spent 3 days lounging by the river and saw deer, turkey vultures, frogs, and so many birds. Town is just a short drive away with multiple dog-friendly breweries. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape by the river.
