GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. The cabin at Sarah’s place is awesome. It’s warm and cozy with thoughtful touches and the rushing river is blissful. Seeing the salmon spawning and jumping was an extra treat. We loved our stay and are already planning a return trip. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful - by far the best hosts we have ever encountered on Hipcamp. Thankyou Sarah!!!

Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!

We had a big storm come through the night of our stay and the hosts were super hospitable and brought us a backup power bank. The heater blankets on the bed were a great touch too! We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was cozy, the river view was beautiful, and having the chickens around (plus renting Butters the cat!) made it extra fun. 🐓🐾 The campfire setup was perfect, and the hosts were awesome! Super responsive and kind. Such a peaceful little escape...we’ll definitely be back!
