This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet in off season and Port-A-Potties during the summer on site as well. When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Camp sites are off highway and behind a gate, mostly out of view from road; however, as we do lives on the property, it is not entirely secluded/private, and there will be noise from the highway. This is a multiple tent/RV area, and our house is at the top of the driveway, so there may also be minimal traffic passing by your site. There is abundant wildlife on our property, including deer, wild turkeys, black bears (rarely seen), many varieties of birds, and more. While this is exciting and beautiful to see, it is also very important to take safety precautions. Please keep all food contained and secure any garbage. Single private camping site on our off grid property along side a small river. You can swim, fish, canoe, kayak, or just enjoy the peaceful flow of the water going by. We have an abundance of wildlife in our area and we often have Bald Eagles flying over the river. Pets allowed, must be contained or on a leash, and please clean up after them. This camping site is located off a paved BLM Road that will have occasional traffic, but the site is not very visible from the this road. There is also a train that goes by during the night. Camp fires are permitted as long as there are no fire restrictions from our local authorities. We grow an organic garden and are more than happy to share when we have excess. No smoking or vaping (except in your own rig), no alcohol use, and no drug use allowed on this property. Wifi is available up by our house if needed for emergencies only. Dry Camping, no hookups.

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Tent and/or self-contained RV spaces available (NO UTILITY HOOK-UPS) just across the highway from the gorgeous Umpqua River. Could accommodate 5+ RVs or 10+ tents. Small country store and restaurant/bar within walking distance. Boat ramps within 3.5 miles. Perfect for fishing group, couples getaways, or family gatherings. We do have several dogs on the property (in fenced area away from camp sites), and they do bark when excited, so please consider this before booking. Your dog(s) or other pets will be considered if kept inside your RV/in a crate/on a leash at all times. Pet fee applies, and you must clean up after your pet(s). We live in the home on the property and can respond quickly if you need anything. Camp sites are off highway and behind a gate, mostly out of view from road; however, as we do lives on the property, it is not entirely secluded/private, and there will be noise from the highway. This is a multiple tent/RV area, and our house is at the top of the driveway, so there may also be minimal traffic passing by your site. There is abundant wildlife on our property, including deer, wild turkeys, black bears (rarely seen), many varieties of birds, and more. While this is exciting and beautiful to see, it is also very important to take safety precautions. Please keep all food contained and secure any garbage. We welcome you to our property and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Tim's place was absolutely amazing, the endless possibilities and beautiful sounds and views 😍 we will be back. The sites where way bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice. We could hear the Elk and sea lions all night and the morning before we left we seen some whales just a couple of minutes down the road. It was an experience.

I like dispersed camping. Not a fan of RV parks or state campgrounds. This was perfect. Close to Cape Blanco and Port Orford. Quiet at night. Right by the Elk River. Watched birds and enjoyed seeing the cows. Note: there is no shade. For us not a big deal because it wasn’t super hot. Great host. Highly recommend.

We camped at Fennel Flats (site #1) for two nights and loved it! The location was beautiful and peaceful. We were the only ones there with our pup, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Even if there were other campers, the sites are spaced far enough apart that it still feels private. The bathroom was clean, and the hot shower was such a treat after a long day outside. At night, we enjoyed stargazing, and our dog Twinkie had the best time running around and exploring. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back!
