Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more. Southern Ohio offers some amazing roads for motorcycle rides, including the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, The Windy 9, The Triple Nickel and Three Rivers . Please message me on the morning of your stay with an ETA so I can make sure I'm here to great you. RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). We stayed for 5 days in the sugar shack cabin and it was the coziest experience ever!! Aimee is such a great host and made sure we had every we needed. The wood stove keeps the cabin really warm even in the middle of a snowy night, we accidentally made it too warm one night and went on a night hike in the snow, the most beautiful experience ever. Oh and if you see a little orange cat, that’s Aimee’s cat Tangie, he likes to say hi to the campers!

Beautiful spot, only 15 minutes from Old Man’s Cave. Jimbos Burgers is a good spot for food only 5-6 minutes away. Spot 1 had plenty of trees for Hammock camping, and plenty of space for tents as well. The fire ring was perfect, and we felt safe in this spot! We definitely recommend and plan to be back :D

Amazing campground, and Austin & Kate were awesome. Highly recommend whether it's hot or cold, this place takes care of you. And be sure to just buy their wood for your fires, it's cheaper than Kroger, and it burns way longer. Can't wait to bring my kids here, they'd have an absolute blast. This is my second time camping at Aimee's place. I came during the off season and there was some work being done on the trail leading to my booked site. She happily gave me the option of site #2 and I liked the different experience it offered. This site #2 was closer to the neighboring fields and roads while still feeling secluded with not so much road noise that it made the experience poor. Since the property is in the country you might hear people riding quads which was the case for a short time that evening. I even got several visits from her cat during my stay to keep me company. I will definitely be back to see the improvements she is adding to the property!

Perfect place for car camping and exploring the Hocking Hills region! Had no problem getting to our site even with slightly balded tires and some mud. Lovely property with towering hills surrounding you. In early November there wasn’t much foliage and so you can see the house and the other campsites but we were the only ones so it was no problem. Great fire ring, picnic table, and a nice love seat rocking bench. Was able to get WiFi by walking up near the house and the property was peaceful without any commotion! Our animals loved it too and really wanted to explore the hills and trails.

We didn’t pick the best weekend to go camping, but Aimee’s land made the stay the best that it could have been with the wet weather. The outhouse was convenient and conveniently located to our relocated site, since our van only allowed us to park at site 1. I didn’t realize that the other sites were walking access only, and especially since the land was wet, our van, which was our RV, prevented us from accessing our original requested location. The sauna was a feature that we really enjoyed; and the wood, which was convenient to buy there, after many attempts in the wet weather, finally took fire. Overall, considering the conditions, Aimee’s property made the stay the best.

We had an incredible time at the yurt! David was an amazing host: he greeted us and shared all kinds of local information and tips on hikes and activities and brought us coffee in the mornings. He has built a magical place and put so much passion, care and attention into everything there. The nature and activities on the property can fill days. We loved the yurt Viking decor, propane fire in the middle and the incredible layers of soft bedding! We will be coming back for sure.
