Lovely stay- such a cute and cozy hobbit hole! We enjoyed the decor and all the illustrations. The build itself is so cool and from outside is super realistic!

Cute hobbit house. The owner send us information but none of the videos were links so it took time to watch them. I did not receive the combo to the lock and ended up calling them in the middle of the night for it which I felt bad. We also could not get the futon to open so I had to sleep on a sleep pad for camping. Otherwise it was well stocked with cooked, teas, coffee, etc. blackberry bushes with ripe berries, and plum tree with beautiful deliciousness. Just minor issues. I recommend the owner link all the YouTube videos under his one YouTube channel and advise people to watch from there.

This was such a lovely magical getaway! Perfect size for me and my partner to stay for one night comfortably. We were able to make delicious food here and enjoy it with a peaceful atmosphere and a plethora of bunnies!!

Had a lovely stay! There were cookies and tea available. Although a burn ban was in effect, we were still provided with a propane grill. It was very nice and cozy.

I loved the Hobbit hole, very accommodating and fun! One of our favorite parts was watching the hobbit movies in bed with the CDs left by the owners! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Cozy Hobbit House on Bainbridge
We had an incredible stay in the Shire. Our kids will be talking about this wonderful place for years to come. Every detail is there to delight LOTR fans! We also loved the adorable bunnies and idyllic setting. The hosts gave very thoughtful and thorough guidance. We would highly recommend a stay!

I loved my time here! The video they send before check in was so informative and answered all my questions. The location was very peaceful and private. The inside of the “house” was so cozy and had everything you need for a fun LOTR movie night!!

Cozy Hobbit House on Bainbridge
Check in and out was easy. Her directions and videos on how things work were great. The space was clean and well maintained. My granddaughter and I went for a weekend away for her birthday. She enjoyed it so much she wants to go again.

Mary’s hobbit home was everything you could imagine and more. As an LOTR fan, I was absolutely astounded at the amount of detail and materials that transported you to the Shire in this cozy version of Bag End. It was worth every penny, and I will absolutely be staying again on my next visit to Bainbridge. An assortment of teas, coffee and snacks are provided as well as Mary’s delicious cookies that you can request upon booking! The futon was super comfy with plenty of pillows, blankets and a down comforter. You can sip tea next to Bilbo Baggins and the warm fire place nestled in a pillow fort on a rainy Washington evening (which is what I did. Highly recommend.) There is ample reading materials for those who would like to get more acquainted with Middle Earth or the surrounding areas on Bainbridge island. Don’t forget to leave a review in Bilbo’s journal on the mantelpiece and perhaps a drawing as you marvel at the artwork of other guests on the wall. So delighted to have had such an excellent experience. Many thanks!

The Hobbit House was very cute and comfortable, but the grounds could have used a bit of care and sprucing up. Road noise definitely noticeable sitting outside but all nice and quiet in the house. Using the fan was a must as with no heat on and a cool night (60 F) it was plenty warm in the house while sleeping and no real way to have ventilations. The rabbits hoping around the lawn did add a very shire feel to the experience.

Cozy Hobbit House on Bainbridge
Very cute little abode! Host was very kind and left us freshly baked cookies. We stayed there on one of the hottest nice of the summer and it was very warm inside even with the fan. Although you could hear traffic from the yard, it was very private and quiet once inside. The portable toilet was the cleanest I’ve ever seen, which was a nice plus!

Host was great and very communicative. The porta-potty was very clean and pleasant to use. I like that fact that the is campsite felt very private yet was close to everything you need! My favorite part of the stay was at night when we were cooking over the bon-fire and night lights were on illuminating the hobbit house! This is a place that I would come back to.

We arrived a few days before our Alaskan cruise and found this as a place to stay. I honestly think mom will be talking about here to her friends more than the cruise we will go on.
This is a rustic, charming, delightful Hobbit Hole spacious enough for two adults and a suitcase. Mary makes you feel right at home with perks such as home baked cookies, board games, extra blankets, tea, coffee, and small snacks. Inside you’ll have a comfortable futon , a table and chairs for two, and a plethora of objects to explore. The outdoor area with the fire ring and seating makes a pleasant restful space for star viewing or outdoor s’mores. There is even a frisbee golf basket.
If you decide to go out on an adventure, on the island there is nearby shopping , wineries, and beautiful scenery to visit.
This will be a return site for us even without a planned cruise. It is a destination in and by itself.
I’m sure Tolkien would envision a snug little Hobbit Hole just like this.

I LOVED staying here! My boyfriend and I are both college students and I wanted to give him a Christmas gift that was a fun cabin-like stay where we could relax and get away. Needless to say I would stay here again. Very clean and cozy. It’s easy to warm up in the cold with the electric fire place and stays nice and warm once heated. I loved sitting at the fire and looking at the hobbit house! We used the board games they had and they were perfect! The lord of the rings themed trivial pursuit was fun and on theme.
- porta potty was east to get to and VERY clean. The motion censor light in it made all the difference too. If every porta potty was like this I would have no problem using them!! They also had some personal hygiene stuff in there like tampons to use.
- there IS A WINE OPENER
- the bed is comfy

Come for the Hobbit Hole, stay for the cookies!
My whole stay was lovely. I visited during the rainy season, so I had a mix of dry-ish days to wander the neighborhood all the way “down” to the ferry and the lovely brace of shops and eateries. It was also a short jaunt to Poulsbo with its own set of places to wander in.
Oh, and the cookies. I suspect Sauron itself laced them with something Evil. But apparently I can be corrupted by such tasty evil!

Super amazing hobbit house. Excellent instructional videos on how to get there and operate the place. Really nice fire pit for cooking on and the futon was comfy. One thing no one mentions is that its full of amazing fan art that guests have left. Definitely recommending it to all my hobbit loving friends.
