If you are coming as a family, one additional children's mattress on the floor may be added.
Outside of your Geo-Dome you will find an amazing private fire pit, charcoal grill and hammock. Firewood bundles are available for purchase for $10 or you may bring your own. In addition, each site has an outhouse, which is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. A bit rustic, but there is no odor!
Geo-Domes are a short 1 - 3 minute walk from parking. Please dress accordingly in colder months. You will be greeted by our Host at the gate for check-in and guided to your site. Guest waivers to be completed at check-in. Our Geo-Domes are dog friendly and require a $75 pet fee. One dog maximum. No cats allowed. You will have cellular service!

**History of The Awosting Club**
In the mid 1950's John Atwater Bradley, then a graduate student, attended a conference in Cragsmoor, the site of a celebrated art colony not far from what is now the Awosting Reserve and The Awosting Club. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, racoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge.
The Bradley family still maintain the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. Bradley's daughter, Camilla, and her family are keeping the Awosting traditions alive by sprucing up the camp buildings and platforms while maintaining the trails that have been used for decades for outdoor adventures: from sleeping to eating to playing to communing with nature in all her glory.

A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather.
Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound. Plenty of privacy with screens around the site.
Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more. Rainy days no problem explore one of our nations pieces of history, Vanderbilt mansion, Theodore Roosevelt home, Montgomery Place Mansion, Poets walk, Ferncliff forest, or Art Omi.

There is chickens, bees & goats & 2 guardian life stocks dogs that live with the goats. I also have a small Terrier & a farm cat. A lot of outdoor activity with bird watching, bunnies, deer & the groundhogs say good night. It’s rural yet only 10 minutes to Kingston uptown and about 20 minutes to Woodstock. About 1 hr from Hunter & Windham Mountain resorts and 45 minutes to Belleayre Ski.

**History of The Awosting Club**
In the mid 1950's John Atwater Bradley, then a graduate student, attended a conference in Cragsmoor, the site of a celebrated art colony not far from what is now the Awosting Reserve and The Awosting Club. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, racoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge.
The Bradley family still maintain the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather.
Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. My son and I really enjoyed camping on Mike's property. It was tucked away and quiet. Mike was very supportive and kept the firewood coming for the cold temperatures. The entrance comes up quickly, but Mike's directions were spot on.
The hiking near the property was fantastic. Try Anthony's Nose; the hike was challenging, but the views were worth it.

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This cabin was exactly what my partner and I were looking for for a quiet two-day retreat that felt outdoorsy without all the work of true camping. Space heaters and a woodstove kept it fairly cozy for cold November nights, and there was a ton of wood available for the outdoor firepit. We enjoyed exploring the collection of board games and CDs inside, plus outdoor badminton and frisbee under the lights. Beautiful clear stargazing, and easy driving distance to some great hikes.

I have to say, first initial sight, I was confused. I didn't know where I was at. Im glad raplh had us meet because I would have probably driven to the wrong portion of the land. The land is huge. I needed an electrical for my van but I didn't have the right outlet. Ralph helped me with that. He's great. We had such a lovely stay. Everyone we encountered in the town was just amazing and friendly. Ralph was very helpful with any questions we had and very patience.. Overall, we had such a great time. Ty again for everything.

Phoenix Landing is the optimal camping spot for my partner and I (and cat). Though it was just the two of us, we had no issues with the camp site and felt very safe in the area. We decided to camp out there while enjoying Halloween festivities along the Hudson. The forest/stream, on the property is beautiful and there are many trails to explore. We brought our cat who loves walking outdoors on a harness & leash - we stayed very vigilant with her, but thankfully the most we encountered was a buck during our trip (1st week of Nov.).
Mike's directions are very thorough and clear - DEFINITELY read his instructions for finding the property at first. He also provides a lot of supplies if needed, especially firewood for a small cost. Communication with him was also very pleasant and easy. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by 1 more day 😊. Overall, we look forward to staying at Phoenix Landing again in the near future.
NOTE: Needing a 4x4/ AWD vehicle is absolutely necessary to climb the property if choosing not to walk. We arrived in absolute pouring rain and thankfully our Land Cruiser had no issue. The climb / descent is definitely very fun, but if you have no experience with off-roading, it may be a bit difficult. Take it slow. Cheers!

The site was lovely, just as pictured and described here. We also stayed on a cold night, in the mid 30s, and we were bundled up but quite cozy in the set up (in case anyone else is considering a late season overnight!). Would recommend a fall trip!

Ralph is an amazing host. The county park we intended to stay at was closed, however, a county employee recommended Ralph. We contacted him very late in the afternoon and he responded within 10 minutes!!! Several sites with grassy areas, plenty of room for our 45' truck/trailer. Power is available if needed. Very quiet location, our dogs loved to run across the fields. ATT-2

Paula and her husband are kind, thoughtful, and helpful hosts! They were very quick to respond to our messages and were incredibly accommodating. I’d forgotten to pack cooking oil and Paula was generous enough to offer some of hers. This place has everything you need! If you enjoy birding this place has a variety of birds. Also, it was so cool to hear a great horned owl in the middle of the night.
We all had so much fun at their campsite - the perfect fall getaway. We’d love to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the swimming holes and take advantage of the hiking trails!

We loved camping on Ralph's horse farm with our small teardrop camper. We used a site that had electric hookup and Ralph filled our fresh water tank from his well. He and his dog Minnie gave us a great tour of the property. The horses are beautiful. Ralph was super friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it!

Mark is an amazing host, along with his wife and dog. They were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, shuttled our bags to and from the site on check-in/check-out, provided us with plenty of firewood for the weekend, and lent us their canoe to take out on the private lake.
The tent is located on the far side of the lake (away from the road) with a stunning view of autumn foliage reflected off the water. It feels very remote and peaceful with only sounds from the surrounding forest and beautiful view of the stars on a clear night. The tent and fire circle are kept very clean with a heater provided inside the tent that keeps it very warm. It was the perfect setting for a romantic weekend having just proposed to my fiancée.
Overall, I would recommend this property very highly and hope to be back for another stay soon!

Weekend Trip to Private Catskill Glamping Retreat
Elon's place is a great glamping location! We loved it from the minute we got there. Elon and Stefan were great hosts, very responsive and solved any requests right away. Even though the site is located in the same property as the host's house, the location of the site is very very far away from the house, tucked away inside the valley and forest, to the point you won't even notice. The site it's outstanding and very romantic for sure! The hot water tank was a plus! We had no issues or complains, and will definitely be returning again.

We enjoyed our stay at site 2 and would recommend! Sarah was very helpful and communicative through our 1 night stay.
It was our first time bikepacking and it was a great introduction. We took the Metro North train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie, and then rode mostly on the Empire State Trail and the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail to the farm. Beautiful fall views and smooth riding!
The site was spacious, clean, and generally quiet and peaceful (we could hear some other campsites, City Winery, and the town nearby). The hill down to the river is pretty steep with slightly loose footing but we had no problem with it. At night, we saw stars and relaxed with a bonfire with wood provided for an extra fee.
