The Sanctuary At Blossom Dell

Our stay at Patricia’s went smoothly and was great! Our group had a last minute camping sit cancellation, and booked at Patricia’s on pretty short notice. Patricia was communicative and helpful, and left us with great instructions on how to reach the site etc. The site was beautiful, and we’d stay again!

Greatest family adventure

We recently spent a weekend at Beaver Brook at Blossom Dell, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. Booking through Hipcamp was a breeze, and we stayed at Site 2, which had a lovely stream in the background that was so soothing to listen to. The host Patricia was super kind and had a laugh with us when we accidentally drove a bit too far in. And my super handsome and big grand doggy Bo couldn’t wait to say hello. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful setting—listening to the owls, gathering wood, and just soaking in nature. It was a memorable trip for our family and Bo,’s first camp experience. Louella my other grand doggie is an experienced camper for a pup and the best dog ever. My grandson was old enough to remember this trip and he loved every minute of it him and his uncle Josh did so much exploring together. It was unbelievably amazing. I will never forget this trip and we will definitely be back and we definitely recommend it! Thank you, Regina the grandma, & Mom

a beautiful campground and the blue barn is a highlight (chickens and horses included). we stayed for a weekend and the only negative was traffic noise (its quite close to a busy street)

We rented Eagles Nest and it was the best camping experience ever! The campsite was super quiet and clean, just the sounds of nature all around. The animals were a huge plus for my fam, Patricia was super friendly and accommodating. The walk to the site was totally not a big deal (we had a cart to help) and although we couldn't swim in the lake, the bottom was like clay and you just sunk in, we walked over to the brook and went wading there.

Had a wonderful camp and extended an extra night. Would recommend bringing your own toilet system/strategy as the communal toilets are a bit of a hike. River was loaded with sunfish, pickerel, carp, and catfish for fishing. The property is beautiful. Patty and her partner are incredibly warm and friendly. Looking forward to visiting again!

Didn’t meet promises, overall fine

Overall me and my 4 friends enjoyed ourselves. We did try to get in contact with Patricia a few times via phone and she never answered. The other slight annoyance was that a starter bundle was mentioned in the booking, and when we asked Patricia for it, she said she would bring it over- it never came. Like I said overall we had fun but customer service was not pleasant.

Great place for private camping! Saw a beaver and a bald eagle. It was really convenient to have a picnic table and the spot for the tent was nice and flat. Plenty of trails for hiking and close to the peaceful stream. Was a bit muddy but very manageable.

Beautiful property and great host!

My friends and I loved our weekend at Blossom Dell. Patty was an incredible host and super responsive. The property was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at Eagle's Nest but explored the whole property and other sites too. I would note that the walk to the car is a bit far (~5-10 min walk), so was slightly annoying to have to go back at night to bring food and such, but it was really nice overall to have a real escape in nature. Would definitely go back!

The land is very serene and has lots of beautiful amphibians, fish, and a great creek. It’s nice to see the farm animals whenever you take a walk from the campsite or when you first arrive/leave. Pat is very friendly and accommodating.

Authentic and peaceful camping.

We had a great time at the Beaver's Brook site! Overall this campsite is perfect for those seeking something more authentic, but aren't ready for a full hike-in experience. The host was very nice and welcoming, and they have some great animals including pigs, ducks, and a goat. It was clean and very roomy for afternoon hikes with 125 acres of space. Plenty of frogs for the kids to chase, and owls hooting at night. That said, it's a 5-10 minute walk from parking/bathroom to campsites. On weekends host offers to drive heavy things to/from sites via ATV for small fee. But if being more than 2 minutes from car or (porta potty) bathroom isn't your speed then I wouldn't advise these campsites. Some of the sites in the Eagles nest area were a bit close together if they were all occupied, but alternatively a great place to go with several different groups part of the same trip.

Calm in the Trees with River Stream

We arrived, and immediately felt the calm beauty of Patricia’s Blossom Dell Sanctuary. The camp next to the river was open. The kids enjoyed walking in and playing next to the stream. We brought trail bikes and were able to ride the trails within the camp property. Also served well for bringing our camp gear to and from the parking area. Highly recommend booking an overnight, or multiple day camp here.

Great camping. Plenty of privacy. Awesome people. Good communication, Had a great time. Make sure to book the transportation to your site in advance, since our site was quite far from the parking lot. Make sure to visit the base farm one morning, they horses, cute pigs, chicken and goats roaming around. We’ll be back.

Great time in Bloomingburg

First off, Patricia gave me excellent directions and showed me where my campsite was. She showed me some important details to make my stay better. For example, she showed me exactly where the best place was to enter the river for swimming. My campsite had just about everything we needed to have a great time. Multiple fire pits, plenty of flat ground for a tent and a nearby river for swimming and fishing are all at the site. Only issue was having to park about 1/4 mile away from our campsite. I had a lot of stuff to unload and that added an extra 1.5 miles to my day as I had to make three round trip journeys. Not a huge deal, but someone less ambitious might be put off.

A great option in the Gunks!

This was a great site—easy to access but with tons of space. There are plenty of spots for tents and hanging hammocks; we only had 4 people but you could easily accommodate a larger group. Plus the river was a dream for swimming. Patricia was extremely helpful upon arrival, walking us around the site and even bringing over some firewood. Would definitely stay here again.

One of my favorite campsites. Gorgeous deep woods, spacious camp sites. After hiking during the day we cooled off in the brook right next to our tent. Would highly recommend.

Great place to camp! Site 2 is right next to the river side which makes it even more beautiful. Steve and Patty are great hosts, they carried our luggage on a buggy from the parking lot to the site. The place is also pet friendly.

The Barn... an Amazing Campsite !!

Such a beautiful place to camp!!! Patricia was very accommodating. We even got to see a horse, rabbits, ducks, and goats!!! We will definitely be returning to the sanctuary!!! Five stars for Patricia, and the Sanctuary!!!
