Spring, Summer and Fall are the best times to come for a visit. NOW is the time to book your experience with us. Enjoy rustic camping on our 115 acres of upstate NY forest. We are just a short drive to Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame and the summer baseball camps as well as the other museums that it has to offer. Howe Caverns in Cobleskill is also about 30 minutes away as well.
The property consists of a mixture of upland hardwoods (mainly Oak, Maple and Cherry) with scattered stands of Red Pine, White Spruce, Hemlock and two open fields/pastures. There are also the occasional conifers scattered about just to keep things interesting. The majority of the property is gently sloping from the South up towards the North. The is also a nice ridge on the NE corner of the property to aid in topographic diversity. One of the fields is a seven acre hay field and the other is a five acre food plot planted in clover, chicory and other grasses. This field has also been recently planted with Apples, Pear, American Plum, Red Osier Dogwood, Persimmon, Red Mulberry, Chinese Chestnut, and Hazelnuts. These are all young at this time but will start to provide diversity and wildlife interest in the coming years.
Wildlife abounds here at the homestead. Whitetail Deer and Eastern Wild Turkey are very common to see. We also have a variety of small animals as well such as Red and Grey Squirrels, Raccoons, Porcupine, Opossum, Fisher etc. For the birders, we have Barred and Great Horned Owls and Red Tailed Hawks. It is also not uncommon to see Bald Eagles soaring over the fields looking for their next meal.
All of the property is easily accessible via our extensive trail system. There is also another 187 acres that borders our land that also has trails that would allow hiking. We have detailed maps so that getting lost would be the least of your worries.

Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. If you find any cool artifacts they are yours to keep or just leave them and we will add them to the display for the new cabin. Check out the iconic ‘57 Chevy Bel Air halfway down the gorge. Enjoy meal prep with our various, bulk cast iron cookware and season with an array of available spices. Cook over an open flame on the elongated wood fired grill. Grill on one or two of our commercial grade charcoal grills. Fuel is easy with our self-serve firewood for purchase or bring your own charcoal. Rent a burner, fryer, crab pot or wok included with propane, to experiment and create a memorable meal.
Easily access cold food and drinks with a full-size refrigerator, in the nearby pavilion. Safely store supplies with plenty of ample dry shelving. Making coffee for your group is easy, using our fresh, well water and bulk 15 cup coffee maker. Conveniently, power rice cookers and crock pots at our small appliance station. Enjoy meals and quality time utilizing multiple areas, such as our wrap around bench, picnic tables, and lean to area. Afterwards, dishes are easy, including late night clean up with our lighted, double sink dishwashing and drying area.
Listen and enjoy your playlists with the Pyle Bluetooth surround system while playing fun yard games or shoot some hoops (bring your own ball). Access our unique bathhouse and clean, interesting outhouse. Build a campfire, whenever you like in our firepit with self-serve firewood. In the evenings, illuminate a portion of the camp with the horseshoe pit overhead lights. Star gazing is amazing with dim lighting or bring a telescope.
The activities and adventure continue offsite and nearby from natural areas and a distillery to outdoor Mexican food with a view. Enjoy breathtaking mountain and country views while strolling along Shea and Klondike Road. Beyond the river and just a few minutes away, Rock Valley Spirits, offers distillery tours/tastings/cocktails with scenic outdoor views and seating. Grab a bite to eat at Salsa Shack, less than 10 minutes away, while gazing at the lush greenery, mountain views and beaver pond. Afterwards, work off the meal, with an amazing and scenic hike, or walking trails. The famous Jensen Ledges and Patridge Walking Trail are a short drive away. On the way back to camp take a quick dip at the Lordville River Access, stop at the Equinunk General Store or grab some ice cream at The Cow Lick.
Besides the plethora of possibilities, other amenities are included with your stay. As an overview, included with the camp are bulk cooking items (pots, pans, serving utensils, knives, spices), large 15 cup coffee maker/urn and 7 to 14 gallons of fresh, drinkable, well water for your usage. Upon reservation, we provide a kitchen content list of specific items. Please bring your own dishes, flatware, cooking oils, paper products, storage containers, etc.

For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

We love having chill rock climbers, hikers and families on our farm/wedding venue. It's not a campground! It's just a super cool place to have some privacy and a camp fire and be really close to the best hiking and climbing, and swimming holes and farmers markets and road biking around.Horse farm / Wedding venue super close to Gunx, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, Lipman Park (Mt biking) Great for rock climbers, families, hikers, horse folks.Sites are private with fire pits. It is $25/ person per night!Strict cancellation policy so if not sure, just book for 1 person to guaranty a space and settle up upon arrival when you know your actual plans and numbers ?So, we do weddings on some summer /fall weekends. You camp in a totally different part of the property and are no where near the wedding activity at all. Occasionally, the music is audible. We do our best to let the wedding folks have their fun without irritating neighbors and campers, but feel free to check in with us before booking.

Todd went above and beyond at every instance that we needed him. Lovely spot, great trails in hardwood forests for dog walks. Quiet country living, beautiful pond. Couldn't ask for a better host. He even lent us his waste tote to dump black and grey tanks and even took it away with my husband to dump.

Oasis among the rolling tree covered hills. Level driveway steps from a private lake w dock and diving board. 30 amp electric hookup and water conveniently located. Clean, well manicured area with community fire pit next to miles of clearly marked hiking trails. Todd provided trail maps and a list of amenities in the area like restaurants and laundromats. He and his wife were so wonderful and personable and well organized. I had some water leak issues while I was there and Todd was understanding and very helpful. The surrounding view and neighbors farms were so gorgeous on every walk. I felt so much peace the week that I stayed here. About a 20-minute drive from many stores but you could never tell that sitting and enjoying this property. Highly recommend. They even sent me home with doggie treats for my two pups.

Loved this campground! No spot is too far from the river, there are amenities for the kids, and a little bandstand where they appear to show films on the weekends. I only stayed one night, but I will return for longer!

Had a perfect stay at SoHi campground.. facilities were first rate and the site was cozy and quiet.. host made sure I was acquainted with everything on arrival and I would highly recommend .. will definitely reach out for availability next time in the area 👍🏻

Had a great time RV camping. Hookup was good and the hosts make sure you’re all situated. They helped us back in and made sure we were able to hook up to everything. There’s good space between you and your neighbors. Showers and toilets were very clean and the upkeep was good. The staff is good about making sure the bathrooms stay clean. People play music and enjoy themselves but it’s still nice and quiet in the evening. Met other campers and most people were friendly. Would refer others to camp there and I would return.

The people and workers at SoHi are SUPER FRIENDLY. They were very helpful in getting us set up in our camping spot. It was very quiet and clean. It was awesome having electric, water, and sewer. We hope to go back soon!

With pets
We had a wonderful time at Todd’s beautiful property. We stayed at his RV site overlooking the pond in our 5th wheel. It was quiet and very peaceful. Hubby did some fishing but no catching!
Todd was very nice and informative. He met us at front of the property and showed us where to go, when we pulled in. He was always available if we had any questions. We didn’t have a chance to hike his 100+acres, but hopefully next time. The well water was some of the best water we’ve ever had—crisp, cold and refreshing.
Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing time spent in the Eastern Catskill's.
