A little slice of Catskills heaven
We found Mark’s place completely by accident after the stargazing event we planned our Catskills weekend around was cancelled—and it turned out to be the best change of plans.
Mark’s property is beautiful and peaceful, with wildflowers, vegetable gardens, open camping areas and walking paths throughout the land. He provides firewood and kindling, plus access to a downstairs bathroom, which made camping especially comfortable.
A highlight was Mark’s $5 breakfast with coffee and either a breakfast sandwich or bottomless pancakes. Our first morning he was baking fresh sourdough outside in cast iron and made our breakfast sandwiches on it—absolutely delicious. Sitting on the porch over coffee, hearing about the 12 years he’s spent creating and caring for the property, made it even more special.
We loved it so much we added another night. We explored Delhi, Meredith, Andes and Bovina during the day, then came back for campfires and incredible stargazing—we could even see the Milky Way. When it got unexpectedly cold, Mark graciously accommodated us in a downstairs room for a small additional fee.
Before leaving, we walked his figure-eight trails and spent a couple hours watercolor painting outside. We came to the Catskills for a stargazing event, but now we’d rather come back here.

Mark is super friendly and kind. I used a tent site- not particularly private being in a field- but the setting is gorgeous! And you can park you car right at the site to provide more privacy if you wish. Fire ring and picnic table provide along with access to full bathroom! Some evening traffic on the nearby road but quiet all night for a good nights rest. Mark offered breakfast in the morning- I wish that I could have taken part! He has quite productive gardens and a farm stand, he even picked vegs right from the garden for me. It just doesn’t get any better than that! I will def save Mark’s site as a favorite for my future annual, long distance trip. Hipcamp>hotels everytime!

What a lovely place and a lovely host family!!! Don't miss the amazing breakfast ($5pp). Beautiful land, clean air, fireplace, bathroom and shower indoors.
I also really recommend the demonstrations of the water mill at Hanford Mills Museum about 10 minutes drive away, it was a really fascinating tour.

BBG - Fantastic Host, Scenery, Stop
Mark’s property and surrounding area is serene and gorgeous. Mark was a spectacular host for my overnight stay on my motorcycle. The rain was on my heals when I arrived and Mark offered a shed to park my bike. The tent site was comfortable. Mark provided access to a bathroom and shower, including a towel. He also has a breakfast menu of several choices and coffee. It was a pleasure to meet Mark, see his gardens, and enjoy the pastoral vistas. I highly recommend the Bisaccia Botanical Gardens for stay over. You might even want to take some fresh vegetables with you.
Beautiful clear skies and close to town! The camp sites were nice too because they were on soft grass so camping was comfortable.

Very nice large property that I believe is a venue. Full hookup,use of pool.On a well traveled road,but noise is minimal.
Mark is very nice.
Mark is as warm, kind, and great as the reviews say. I arrived on Friday and by Sunday we were talking like old friends. He is living his dream life and is willingly sharing his blessings with others: ex. the farm, his crops, the yummy breakfast he makes his guests for just $5, and his love of life. If you feel like you need a reset or to dip your toe in a little of heavenly peace, you had better go visit Mark! Thank you again for an amazing time ❤️!
Mark is a very welcoming host with a beautiful property and adorable farm stand with lots of wonderful baked goods and vegetables! It was a perfect little campsite to stay overnight as we were passing through the area, and it would have fit our needs well had we needed to stay longer. We would definitely consider staying here again!
Camping on Mark's property was a delight. The rolling hills and lush grassy fields made it a beautiful place to pitch a tent. Mark made the process very easy, and allows use of his downstairs bathroom, so you're not completely off grid. He gave us good recommendations and was always reachable. He offers coffee and breakfast although we did not partake as we had a full schedule. But I would highly recommend purchasing some loaves of his scrumptious homemade breads!
The site was perfect. We had a nice relaxing stay. Mark was very accommodating. The views were beautiful and calming. The farm stand with plants and goodies available for purchase was great. I will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our overnight at Bisaccia Botanical Garden! The drive to and through the area is beautiful and once we arrived, Mark showed us where to go. The farmland is pleasant and quiet. The bathroom was in great shape and a welcomed option while we camped in our Scamp. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet get away. We just did a one night stay but with more nights, I’d love to try some of the local fishing which isn’t far away. Thanks Mark and we hope to see you again!

Mark was so helpful in getting parked and his property is beautiful! He had a great farm stand and even makes baked goods. I would definitely recommend staying there if you're looking for a place in this area.

Absolutely fantastic. Very generous owner and their foods are amazing. The owner harvests their own vegetables and create their own baked bread which is outstanding (I suggest you enjoy it together when they serve breakfast). I love how they allow the travelers to use their basement bathroom which is super clean and neat. We would definitely want to come back for more experience since it felt like 3 days was too short :)

Mark is such a wonderful host, you have everything you need for. Self contained stay, he’s got potable water and electric, if you select that type of site. It’s peaceful and beautiful, he’s also got a great garden on his property. I recommend staying with Mark:)

We stayed for one night while traveling. It was early in the season and it was very rainy and cold, so we didn’t get to enjoy the property. But Mark was very nice and friendly. He came out in the rain to assist us, and checked in with us before we left. All in all, it was a nice place to stay. I would like to stay here again when the weather is nicer and his vegetables are ready 😋.

We stayed at Site 2 for an evening traveling through. It was a bit breezy and cool but we bought some fire wood and had a nice fire. The bathroom is in the lower level of Mark’s home and it was warm and clean. The site sits back from the road but the road seemed fairly busy. All and all it was a nice stay.

This was a great place for a peacful stop over. We just needed one night accommodations but wish we could have stayed longer! The property is simple, beautiful and close enough to town. I am an artist and loved painting there. We would definitely come back when in the area. We use a 21 ft. camping trailer and would suggest that anyting bigger might have a hard time getting to the camping spots. We had no trouble however.

We had a great stay on Mark’s land. It was a quick one-night trip on our road trip from the Northeast to Midwest. Located close to some very pretty, storybook towns. We stopped at Alison Roman’s corner shop in Bloomville, 10mins away, and picked up yummy odds and ends to make dinner at our site. The grass was fluffy and even, very comfortable without a sleeping pad. The bathroom was clean and overall vibes were nice! Would stay here again :)

We were able to back the camper into the mowed site, Mark had the electric and water ready for hookup. It was very quiet and relaxing. We were able to watch deer and turkeys every day, which was a bonus to the incredible view.

Mark's land was beautiful, lots of wildflowers and birds. Site was level and power available, also bathroom in house was available. Mark is a four star host and we would camp there again.
What a lovely place this was. Feels private despite being close to the road. If I ever travel through this part of NY again, I would stay again, hopefully when it’s warmer. The old city of Delhi, 10 minutes away, is a very charming historic town with neat places to explore.
There was a fire pit with wood and a table.
Note for tent campers: It’s definitely rustic!
Reserve in advance to make plans for a toilet if needed, or bring your own.
Fantastic host. Very kind and friendly. They could accommodate to change spots. Also, the restroom was super clean.
There was a hill just there to easily climb up and see a perfect view from there.
Recommend for any types of camper - family, couple, friends and solo.

It’s a pleasant tent stay.
The site is located at beautiful open field.
Host was so nice, easily get firewood, and the toilet was really comfortable.
The scenery from the top of hill was beautiful. It’s just 15 min. walk from site.
