This beautiful and private 97 acre horse farm is made up of beautiful rolling fields filled with horses. The property is nicely surrounded in beautiful woods with plenty of nature to watch. The property was originally used for farming then converted to dairy. And now a horse farm. This farm was established around 1815. . We enjoy meeting new people and being able to share this wonderful property!

The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house. When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property. We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped. Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night. We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking! There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you! Come and stay and say hi!

We loved camping on Ralph's horse farm with our small teardrop camper. We used a site that had electric hookup and Ralph filled our fresh water tank from his well. He and his dog Minnie gave us a great tour of the property. The horses are beautiful. Ralph was super friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it!

The landscape is breathtaking…..then you add in horses grazing so peacefully, what could be better. Wonderful area to walk and take in all the natural beauty of the property. Luna, resident kitty 🐈‍⬛ is a joy, and Minnie is Ralph’s sidekick and sweet as can be. Just a wholesome place to spend the end of the day and sleep in a quiet bubble. This is my second stay and plan on more. Ralph is a special host, you will feel right at home as he shares his property with you.

I arrived late and Ralph was there to guide me in to my spot and help me set up power. So peaceful and serene. In the morning found a walk on the property to be both refreshing and absolutely beautiful. Loved meeting the horses, goats, chickens, turkey, farm dog Mitzi (sp?) and kitty! They were delightful! Ralph was a special Host giving me his time and company on a tour of the property. Loved hearing the history!! Missed the sunset….I’ll be back for that and soak up more farm life.

Amy was communicative and so lovely! The property is beautiful. The goats and chickens and ducks were fun camp neighbors to have. There’s a gas station and market 5 minutes away should you need anything last minute. Due to the grass in the field being dry, we had to camp a little closer to the house than we would have preferred so that we could have easier access to load/unload our camping gear and so that we could have fresh grass to set up the fire pit over. But, it sounds like the meadow will be developed over time to allow for that! So, knowing that I think we would definitely consider returning when my friend and I continue our annual camping tradition next year!

My family (pack) and I had such a wonderful time at Camp Covid Sit 19! Angie was an amazing host and this site felt very special. There's a lot of love that went into the entire set up and being able to let our pups all off leash was wonderful! We have two big boys and a corgi pup, and it was very safe~ there were no openings in the fencing! So big and little pups are all good here ^^ The site felt private and like a slice of serenity~ We definitely aim to come back to this site, hopefully for longer!!!

Ralph was more than accommodating and Minnie was a sweetheart! A gem of a spot, I highly recommend for a private, peaceful getaway. The only thing small about this place is the number of spots, they are HUGE though! Lots of gravel paths through the farm to walk along. Not your typical campground, a special place of it's own.

The campsite was absolutely wonderful. The facilities were thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need: comfortable chairs, a fire pit, a fully equipped cooking station with a gas grill (fuel provided), and even an on-demand hot shower. All we had to do was set up our tent and relax. The location is tucked within a residential area, which makes it very quiet in the evenings and far more private than staying at a busy public campground. It’s an ideal home base if you’re looking to explore the surrounding area. That said, if your goal is complete seclusion and a truly remote experience, this might not be the perfect fit. Overall, I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the area who wants a convenient, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay.

This site is located only a short drive off of Route 84 so perfect for a stay over when on a road trip. The site is level and behind a house in the shade. The hosts were very nice and met me upon arrival to show me the site and help set up. They provided me a WiFi password and even had a packet of menus of local restaurants. Very thoughtful people. I would recommend this camp if you needed a place to stop for a night while traveling Route 84.
