Wahl Dairy Farm has been a family run and owned small farm since 1921 when August Wahl moved their family to Callicoon. August was a butcher by trade, and the farm started as a family homestead, raising their own chickens and cows with the help of a few horses and of course August's father who was very handy and could make axe handles and wooden wheel spokes. The Wahl homestead became Wahl Dairy Farm in the 1940s when August started selling milk, two or four cans at a time, to the creamery. August's son, Vernon, took over the business and built it up; at one point about 100 cows were being milked! Vernon's son Ross took over the farm in 1995 and diversified it. Ross regularly raises chickens and pigs and grows pumpkins, in addition to the 40 or so milking cows currently on the farm (there are also calves and heifers). The farm is about 200 acres in total, including 15 acres of woods, 15 acres of "hunting" land (deer and rabbits roam free in the scrub), and close to 150 acres in production with pasture and hay. We never feed corn silage! We believe the corn gives the milk a more sour taste (you are what you eat!). We're proud that we've always been in grassland and committed to raising a mostly grass fed dairy herd, a quality not found in many diary farms today. We're excited to share this place with you! In addition there is excellent cell phone service on the farm! Great for digital nomads and everyone who needs to stay connected. The site is the second highest point in Sullivan County. Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night. We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking! There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you! Come and stay and say hi!

Ideally located - West facing views to the Delaware River that provides spectacular sunsets. The quaint town of Callicoon is six miles to the North and Narrowsburg is six miles to the south. Most of the restaurants in those towns and other towns nearby areas are farm to table - excellent quality. There is an abundance of things to do, places to go and people to see in The Catskills, or do nothing at all! Wildlife is abundant - you will see many deer, bald eagles, bear, racoon, birds, and much more. Pepper spray is a must for spending time on the property. We have not seen a bear on our property, however there have been sightings near by. River access is one mile south on NY97 at Skinners Falls Campground. Boating equipment and tubes can be rented there. Guidelines: 1) Please keep all food and garbage inside your trailer during your entire stay unless you are eating at the picnic bench. 2) Please take all food scraps with you - avoid pouring cooking oil and leaving garbage on the property. 3) Kindly use the fire pit 20 feet or more from the picnic table and all trees - the location it is in when you arrive is the best place. 4) Please avoid touching any electric wires to prevent electric shock. 5) Please cover the picnic table and metal fire pit before leaving. 6) Please be respectful of our neighbors by staying on our property. There are pink ribbons tied around the tree trunks to mark our boundaries - beyond those ribbons is our neighbor's property. 8) We do not supply firewood, however there is plenty that can be gathered from our property. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay. Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! *** Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. Wahl Dairy Farm has been a family run and owned small farm since 1921 when August Wahl moved their family to Callicoon. August was a butcher by trade, and the farm started as a family homestead, raising their own chickens and cows with the help of a few horses and of course August's father who was very handy and could make axe handles and wooden wheel spokes. The Wahl homestead became Wahl Dairy Farm in the 1940s when August started selling milk, two or four cans at a time, to the creamery. August's son, Vernon, took over the business and built it up; at one point about 100 cows were being milked! Vernon's son Ross took over the farm in 1995 and diversified it. Ross regularly raises chickens and pigs and grows pumpkins, in addition to the 40 or so milking cows currently on the farm (there are also calves and heifers). The farm is about 200 acres in total, including 15 acres of woods, 15 acres of "hunting" land (deer and rabbits roam free in the scrub), and close to 150 acres in production with pasture and hay. We never feed corn silage! We believe the corn gives the milk a more sour taste (you are what you eat!). We're proud that we've always been in grassland and committed to raising a mostly grass fed dairy herd, a quality not found in many diary farms today. We're excited to share this place with you! Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night. We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking! There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you! Come and stay and say hi!

They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. We also have 3 adult Nigerian Dwarf goats, 4 baby goats, the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named "Walther," and a shy mini horse named "Harry Houdini!" :) All of our animals have free-range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe. *** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay. Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! *** Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. We absolutely loved our stay at Adam's place and we already cant wait to go back! The site is so quiet and peaceful, yet a short drive to many of the great little towns in the area. Nearly every morning we awoke to wild turkeys wandering in the meadow, and saw many deer throughout the day. The view of the Delaware River down the hill never gets old!
