Our cabins are the Hippie Trailer, which is located near the west woods near the Fairy Forest. Then the Bunkhouse just past the big barn on the north end of the property. The lodge, where the Airbnb and pool are is centrally located on the land. We rent out the lower level guest quarters for non-campers. We have a Hobbit Hut near the Frog Pond, a Boho Bus near the entry way and several Vardos (gypsy wagons). For our tent campers there are tent sites in the Eastfield, including the Movie set location of the DM Cabin, and for diehard campers the beauty of primitive pack-in/pack-out camping of Freedom Field is a joy! Feel the energy of the sacred land.
We also have SO may attractions! There are 2 stocked ponds, miles of trails, pool, Zen garden, farm animals, a library and more. Find all the portals here!

Narrative about Selby Farm:
Selbys have lived on this farm since 1990. Doug and Brenda are retired from teaching at nearby public schools. Our Farm is now dedicated to boarding retired horses for their owners.
We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices.
Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road.
The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful horse farm! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our kids absolutely loved getting to see the horses—it was definitely the highlight of the trip for them.
The property was peaceful, quiet, and exceptionally well maintained, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a scenic, family-friendly Hipcamp with kind hosts and a tranquil atmosphere, we highly recommend staying here. We’d happily visit again!

We found plenty of firewood and carts, fine place to park, then a quarter mile to a lovely spot in freedom field. The spot we found was shaded and next to a creek. There was no fire pit or table, but it was enough to have a wonderful evening listening to tree frogs, owls, and forest noises. Staff was helpful but not super organized, which was fine. It seemed there were many opportunities to provide additional services, if hosts were so inclined. All in all, a very nice place to get some nature.

We really enjoyed staying in the Lady Asha yurt! They provided everything we needed. We enjoyed brewing our coffee, the bath house and going out to see the animals, as well as walking the creek trail. Chamomile grows all over there, lots of orb weavers, humming birds and it’s all very kids friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer 😭

We had an amazing time this weekend! My kids loved seeing the animals, playing at the playground and swimming in the lake. We paddle boarded and fished. It is a nice and quiet area and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately we picked a very rainy wet time to camp here but with that said we never had any worries about getting stuck anywhere we had to get to!!! Amanda’s son met us upon arrival and was very sweet to help guide us into our spot! While we never meet Amanda face to face she was very good about communication and answering any of our questions quickly! We were mainly only there to sleep as we were away visiting family during the day. This spot worked out perfect for our needs!!

Weekend Trip to Milo Farm Sacred Land
Beautiful land with beautiful people I went on a solo trip to decompress and definitely achieved my mission! As well I had forgot to pack my fire starters and was struggling with getting my fire started the host actually had a farm hand come out and get my fire started which ended in some great conversation and chill time so grateful I took this trip!!!!
