Milo has mant tent sites, car camping sites (for retroverted cars & sprinter vans), 6 cabins, a luxury guest space for you to stay! Sorry we DO NOT have any RV spots at this time. Our cabins are the Hippie Trailer, which is located near the west woods near the Fairy Forest. Then the Bunkhouse just past the big barn on the north end of the property. The lodge, where the Airbnb and pool are is centrally located on the land. We rent out the lower level guest quarters for non-campers. We have a Hobbit Hut near the Frog Pond, a Boho Bus near the entry way and several Vardos (gypsy wagons). For our tent campers there are tent sites in the Eastfield, including the Movie set location of the DM Cabin, and for diehard campers the beauty of primitive pack-in/pack-out camping of Freedom Field is a joy! Feel the energy of the sacred land.
We also have SO may attractions! There are 2 stocked ponds, miles of trails, pool, Zen garden, farm animals, a library and more. Find all the portals here!

Great for the spiritually minded with several meditation spots. There are events happening some weekends you can participate in. We have a Call to Prayer 9:30am every day in the Art Studio/Spirit Shack, you may join us! Loni is a spiritual intuitive and can do a reading using the Milo Farm Oracle cards she created! 1855 Campground is 45 acres of private property, dedicated to the natural Ozark experience. We border the Mark Twain National Forest, enjoy the outdoors at its best.
Our space offers 7 large campsites to provide privacy & serenity.
Site 1, Little Brushy Creek with parking.
Site 2, Nancy’s Landing, smaller site close to the creek with parking.
Site 3 Bills Base Camp, located high up in the woods.
Sites 4 & 5 Walnut Grove, large flat grassy sites in a meadow with wildflowers.
Site 6 Hidden Hollow, located in a private cove.
Site 7 Roberts Mountain located high up in the woods.
Sites 3-4-5-6-7 are remote wooded campsites. Accessible by foot only & upon request a free shuttle of your camping gear. MUST arrive before 8pm when booking these remote sites.
Bordering the National Forest, so hiking is abundant & encouraged. Far from the city is ideal for star gazing & amazing photo ops. There is a year round freshwater spring flowing nearby.

You can book multiple sites if you want to stay as a group.
We do our best to allow 1 reservation to stay on site at a time. If only 1 site is requested the others are then blocked to allow guests privacy during their stay. If another person requests to stay and it is booked, we will check with the current reservation for approval. We also allow groups to book and camp together if needed (use both rv pads, or tent camp).
We do offer 50amp and 30amp power options (2 different RV parking sites).
Some people have commented that our driveway entrance seems narrow for larger rigs (Class A's and 5th wheels). We've had 53' long rigs (5th wheels)and 45' (Class A's) pull in and get parked with no issues. You will need to be able to back into a spot for either 50a or 30a service. We do have additional parking available for extra vehicles.
If you have a tow vehicle/toad, you will need to detach prior to arrival. There are 2 trucks stops less than 5 miles away (TA and Pilot) or there is a park with a large parking area off of David Hoekel Parkway you can utilize.
We do offer 20amp power and extension cord for tent campers (either in our tent or can be used in your own tent.
Free cold showers available.
A bundle of firewood is now included for use in provided fire pits in needed/requested.
Outdoor Hot showers available at a charge of $5/person. This includes the use of propane and a portable hot water heater.
Wi-Fi is available during your stay.
Will provide network name and password in confirmation email.
3 firepits are available for use (firewood can be purchased).
Easy access to our place via Hwy 70 (take the David Hoekel Parkway Exit).
We are 5 miles from Wentzville which offers a Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot, multiple grocery stores, Rural King, Charlies and multiple restaurants.
We have a stocked pond with catfish, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, black crappie, carp and turtles. There is a Windmill that aerates the pond (do not climb on it). You can fish the pond must practice CPR (catch photo release). Or you can feed the pond fish & feed out chickens. We will provide the fish food and chicken treats.
There is plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons, armadillo's, birds, etc.). Deer will walk by the pond and driveway a couple of times a day. We also have a group of free-range chickens and French guineas (eggs may be available during your stay). There are bike trails in the area, paved roads you can ride on to explore, wineries nearby, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch.

We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail.
*** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!).
Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can, three (3) level wood tent platforms, and even a big swing set!
RV site - the RV site also has a picnic table with umbrella, a garbage can and a fully equipped cornhole game. Nearby, the RV site also has access to a very nice private pit toilet, a gazebo with lights and an electrical outlet, and a firepit stocked with firewood.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time here and it’s all thanks to Kenny and Joan. We arrived a bit later than expected, but Kenny was more than welcoming and helpful despite the late arrival. The site was so peaceful and calm and clean. It genuinely felt like too good to be true the whole entire trip. Not only were the animals and land around so beautiful and fun, but the accommodations and resources available were just as satisfying. It really felt like we were family there. Definitely a time to remember and we loved it so much we couldn’t believe what a gem we had found picking this place. I would rate the hosts and everything about this place and trip an 11/10 and definitely would love to come here every time for a camping trip. Thank you Kenny and Joan for an awesome experience ❤️🙏 oh and “Trapper” is the coolest cat there is!

My husband and I really loved tent camping at DnD! It’s a beautiful campground and site #1 is right on the water! It was secluded and quiet, just like we wanted! My advice to the next campers would be to park at the top of the campsite’s hill if you don’t have a legit 4wd! We got stuck, and we called Debra and her husband. They helped us out, and we enjoyed some great conversation. They are absolutely wonderful people, and I really hope to make it back there someday!

We loved staying on the secluded peninsula! The spot was so relaxing, loved being on the water and not too close to other campers but an easy walk to the shower house if you need to. Easy check in, kayak around the lake was lovely. We did hike the red trail which was not as maintained as I would expect for a marked trail. Overall though a very lovely and relaxing stay.

We had a fabulous time at Ann's camping spot. My kids loved wading in the calm river; we did kayak practice for my 4yo (it was very low and very calm--just perfect for a 4yo!); my dog loved splashing and playing; we enjoyed a morning fire, and an evening fire; my kids all caught cute little fish! Ann even helped me out when my car wouldn't start. She was responsive to my many queries and concerns, which made for a very confident stay. It was so lovely!

This was our second trip to Crooked Creek! It was beautiful weather this time. Such a nice, private place to relax with the dogs and nature. It is very secluded but close enough to town that you can make the trip in if you need more ice or some such. We love crooked creek! Thank you to Ross for always being a great host.

We stayed on site 3 in a rooftop tent - if you’re planning on using an overland setup, I’d recommend this site specifically. 4x4 recommendation is also for real, would not recommend in a car. If you do, for sure stay to the sites on the water.
