Weekend Trip to Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

The whole evening was great! The farm was so cute and the animals that were right outside the tent, and we came for a pizza event the evening before, which really added to the experience with live music & BYOB, but they had delicious pizzas! Kim was the best and made time to talk to us at dinner and accommodate our morning coffee time request. :) would definitely recommend! And the wool blanket, plus others kept us super warm all night.

An excellent site. Amenities are as discribed and well maintained. Trails were nice to have on site. Saw lots of animals. Perfect for a weekend trip.

I almost don’t want to write this review, but Matt and Champion Valley deserve it. I worried that I will encourage too many people to start using this site and it will be all booked up and I won’t be able to come back. This site is amazing! The description is very accurate. What I didn’t have an appreciation for was just how isolated and private this site really is. You have the place to yourself! The only “neighbors” are the incredible birds and wildlife to enjoy. The location is spacious. Be ready to switch into 4 wheel drive to get into the site, path in can be muddy and slippery. There is a great spot for a tent pad, commode, or hammock tucked into a stand of trees. On weekends, you can expect to awake to what the location is known for a paintball establishment. The pop of paintballs is all part of the experience. I rate the site a 101 out of 100, 11 out of 10, or 6 out of 5 stars.

This site was clean and beautiful. Although it's close to the metro area, it feels like you're much further away. That makes it convenient to get to, while still getting to unplug and relax. We even found a nice little jar of jam at the picnic table.

10 nights at Oak Park Nature Nook

Absolutely loved the place such a beautiful area to camp and relax at! The hosts are super nice and friendly and are always a call away. We loved the all animals there, such a cool experience getting to meet the emu they had. Definitely a place I'd love to check out again. Would recommend for great family camping experience. Thank you guys for being amazing hosts!

5 nights at Paquin Farm

I spent 5 nights taking care of things in Minneapolis before flying back to Europe. It is a very nice and quiet place. It was easy checking. I had access to water and portable potty was available. A bit far if one needs to go the twin cities but the traffic was never bad at all. Thank you for making my stay easy.

Weekend Trip to Bayberry Acres on Danger Lake

The chalet on Danger Lake was a wonderful escape. So many beautiful animals on the property, the lodging was well appointed. There are plenty of games and books to use while there (I found a new favorite book there :). We brought DVDs from the library to watch at night, though there were movies there to use as well. The nearby town of Cambridge has a wonderful inexpensive movie theater. Kiddo and I enjoyed walking around the property and looking at herons and swans. Gary and his wife are terrific hosts.

Beautiful camping spots at the back of their farm, which is fun to drive through and see the different animals. Very secluded and Jon is great. Answers messages on the app quickly but has never bothered me. This is the second time I’ve camped here and definitely recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderful time glamping at Alpha Omega farm. The tent stayed warm and cozy with a wonderful wood-burning stove, even during an icy windstorm. Kim was so welcoming to us and our dog Violet. The land was beautiful and peaceful, and we got to wake up next to cows, donkeys, and alpacas. Also, in the morning Kim brought us the best caramel rolls and coffee we've ever had! If you're looking for something fun and different to do close to Minneapolis, I can't recommend this place enough. Truly a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Amy’s property was so wonderful! It was quiet and private, yet just a short hike to the bank of the St. Croix river. There is a lot of open, flat land and also acres of trees and wooded trails on the property. Just really lovely!

1 night at Champion Valley

This site was ideal for a quick mindfulness stay. I heard a number of coyotes in the evening. As well as watching a couple of beavers work tirelessly on a huge oak tree. Fascinating rodents. I heard them around 2 in the morning. Quietly got out of my tent and crawled to the edge of a pond and there they were. I’ll be going back and I will recommend this site to my friends and family. And having free firewood to gather was an added bonus. Thanks Matt!

Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a water point in the barn if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Bundles of firewood can be purchased if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. Owned and operated by Liz and Curtis, and their little daughter Lulu, the farm raises veggies, flowers, medicinal herbs, goats for milk and fiber, sheep, and pigs, as well as lots of chickens, ducks, quail, guineas, and a pair of peacocks. We also have two friendly farm dogs who both believe you all come here just to give them belly rubs. The land is dotted with rolling glacial moraine hills surrounded by marshes. Sandhill Cranes, herons, swans, geese, ducks and all other kind of water loving critters are common sights here. Even otters and beaver have been seen! Eagles are everywhere these days, harriers, and hawks of all kinds. A birders dream! Spring/early summer is baby goat and lamb season, so come prepared for antics and adorableness! From midsummer to frost the gardens and flower fields really start to explode with color and fragrance, and bushels of farm fresh produce. Be sure to book a tour! In the fall the aspens around the farm start shimmering golden, while the oaks deepen to rich, flame-hearted earth tones. Opening early summer of 2022, the Dancing the Land Farm Store will be stocked with all manner of delicious produce, pastured pork (bacon over the campfire!), goat, lamb, eggs, flowers, and dry goods, along with yarn and fiber arts for campers to shop at their leisure. We cut the field to offer a walking trail to the prairie preserve. There is a tree surronded, very private tent site for tenters, but if you have a camper you can find a spot that works best for you! (The tent site is very private and a camper would not fit.) We are a short 10 min drive to Stillwater but there is so much to do in Somerset! Take a walk around the prairie preserve and kayak down the apple river, but don’t forget the local brewery and boutique shop. There is some great fishing on local lakes in the area as well. We offer a 30 amp electric hook up and our hose for water. We also have a shower tent with a camping porta potty.
