Please Note: This is an Adults Only Hipcamp Location. Enjoy your stay at Sunset Bay Getaway in your own self contained RV or camper and enjoy the views of our beautiful lake. Relax in the evening around the firepit. We do offer firewood for sale. Just enjoy being in nature, listening to the sounds of the frogs and birds. Grab a bite to eat at a local bar/restaurant 1 mile away. ATV trails, fishing, hunting and nature walks all available close by. Dogs allowed but must be leashed and cleaned up after. Adults only. We do not have hookups for water, sewer or electric. We do not have restrooms or any facilities for hipcampers to use. All Hipcampers must have self contained RV's/Campers. The driveway to the camping/parking spots is a tad of a slope so keep that in mind when booking. The max length we allow is 34 Feet long due to the road to the camping spots. You might drag your bumper or hitch on your way down the hill to the spot. It's not hard to drive, it just is a bit steep and only gravel. We are always here to help if need be when you arrive. Bring bug dope, the bugs can be very hungry right about dusk time til about 30 min after the sun goes down. If you have kayaks or paddleboards you are welcome to bring them and enjoy the lake. Watercraft (boats/jet ski's) not allowed. This is a primitive camping spot, meaning no hook ups or WiFi. (no water/sewer/electric/wifi)

Sneak into Lisa’s raspberry patch for “desert” or pick some hopps from the back fence in September and take them with you for your next home beer batch. I’m told they’re “Cascade Hopps”. They have a grapefruit taste. Mmm good! We invite you to join us. Bring your camping gear, including camp cook stove (sometimes we’re under a fire ban). Ask your dog to bring it’s leash, yes we have a leash law. Warm clothes and light clothing as the weather changes. Rain gear. Your favorite bug repellent. Good hiking boots. Weekend Trip to Turbera Vista

Turbera Vista Campsite is a peaceful and scenic spot perfect for stargazers and outdoor enthusiasts. We were able to back in our small coupe and set up our tent fairly quick, there was plenty of firewood and the stargazing was amazing, great getaway from the city! David provided us with detailed info of the site and amenities which were basic but thats all we needed! and directions in case we got lost, would definetely return in the near future!

Weekend Trip to Lakeside Wanderers Refuge-Private!

We really enjoyed our stay on Susan's land! The site is right on the water with a small dock and easy access for a kayak or canoe. We spent a good amount of time fishing from our kayaks and had great luck catching large bass and northern pike. We easily fit 2 vehicles and found 2 good flat spots for our rents (with plenty of room to spare). The fire pit and included wood made the chilly nights pleasant and the stars were beautiful. We did not make use of the sauna but it looked clean and serviceable (also smelled great!). The only real downside was the pit toilet, it could use a little attention and having woodchips available would have helped. That said, it wasn't terrible and it is a pit toilet after all. The site is fairly private but note there are neighbors across the treeline on both sides. They didn't detract from our weekend at all, just note it wasn't completely secluded. Overall I would highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be back!

This is a quiet resort with a variety of cabin sizes. Our cozy cabin had all the amenities of home. Yes, each cabin includes the pontoon rental, so you could come and go as you please. The pontoons did not have a huge motor, but neither was the lake. Perfect for fishing and day cruising around the lake. Loved this option since we do not own a boat. We had a great time. Cabin 3 had a full-sized bedroom with an additional futon in the living space.

From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning natural beauty and the incredible peacefulness of the location. The campsite itself was impeccably maintained, offering ample space and all the amenities we could have wished for, while still feeling wonderfully secluded. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the lake and enjoying our morning coffee with such a breathtaking view was truly unforgettable. We spent our days enjoying the lake and Loons simply soaking in the tranquility. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Check in was easy. Everything as advertised. Enjoyed hanging out at the resort bar and eating pizza. All service interactions and other campers were very friendly. I would not hesitate to book again.

3 nights at Sunset Bay Getaway

Absolutely beautiful spot right on the lake. We loved the privacy and easy access to the lake for kayaking. Even for the 4th of July weekend it was quiet overnight. It's only 45 minutes from the North Shore so we took a couple of sightseeing day trips. The Pequaywan Inn is just down the road and has a wonderful restaurant. The hosts Shelia and her husband were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

3 nights at Sunset Bay Getaway

If you’re looking for a loud cramped campground with trailers and tents on top of each other and you can hear the neighbors talking then you won’t enjoy this site. But if you want a true slice of paradise in God’s country with privacy and solitude then this is the place. Not having WiFi, TV, or phone service for a couple of days was truly remarkable relaxing experience. We played games, talked, watched the Bald Eagles and listened to the loons. Sheila our camp host was very accommodating and made us feel welcome and at home. We hope that we have the opportunity to revisit “Sunset Bay”
