We had such an amazing time at Rachel and Jason’s farm!! My grandkids had fun petting the sheep feeding the chickens and picking fresh produce from her greenhouse. Thanks for teaching the kids so much about living on a farm! We will definately be back!

Site 2 - Wildlife Orchard
Rachel and Jayson were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Their farm is very charming and we really enjoyed getting a tour, seeing the animals and learning about how they manage the land.
We had a comfortable two-night stay. The privacy along with the spacious outhouse and large fire pit were an upgrade from our typical tent camping in state forests. I would love to go back and make some time to try the sauna.

Such a cool place to camp out for a few days. A unique property with everything you need for a good camping experience and more. Sheep, chickens, apple orchard, greenhouse with some of the biggest sunflower plants around. Close to Grand Rapids with lots of opportunities to explore.

Rachel and Jayson have a beautiful property! It’s a “secret garden” hidden in an old growth forest, all close to the city of Grand Rapids. We appreciated the nice camping site with the nearby (clean) outhouse and picnic table for our use! Loved the farm tour that Rachel so generously gave her time to show us everything!

Although our schedules did not align, so we could not meet up in person, Rachel did everything she could to make us feel comfortable and welcome.
It is a beautiful place…very peaceful and quiet, (except for the rooster, but even he seemed gracious).
Would highly recommend to anybody wishing to stay near Grand Rapids, MN.

5 stars is hardly enough of a rating for this exceptional hipcamp. We have stayed in hipcamps all over the USA and these guys have checked all the boxes.
You camp under towering White and Norway Pines and awake at dawn to the delightful rooster that lords over the free range chickens. All being carefully monitored by friendly border collie that is kept busy tending sheep as well.
If your looking for Privacy, Solitude, beautiful lakes and a unique natural experience, Wildlife Orchard is your spot

This is an absolute treasure in the Iron Range. Rachel & Jason’s farm is amazing in so many ways. First, here are all the things they offer: plenty of space to find your little slice of beauty, massive fire pit with grill plate, super clean outhouse, outdoor shower, fresh well water, endless beauty. Rachel greeted me upon arrival and showed me the whole property. They have a great garden, orchard, chickens, and sheep.
I used this as my basecamp as I explore the 50+ miles of mountain biking at Tioga and Redhead.
I loved my stay here. Hosts: 10/10, Space: 10/10, Location: 10/10.

We checked out Wildlife Orchard and immediately felt at home in the space. There’s a large rock firepit, outhouse, picnic table, and lots of shaded areas. The grounds offer trails, gardens, greenhouse, and barn with chickens, pigs, and sheep to explore.
It was great to pull up & be greeted like family. Rachel & Jayson our hosts gave us the grand tour even though we arrived at dusk. We felt like we could talk to them forever! I loved hearing about the new land they just purchased with plans to build affordable housing with equity. So important & meaningful!
We sauntered through the garden & greenhouse sampling raspberries, cherry tomatoes, and edible flowers called nasturtium. Rachel showed us the bee hives, how to feed the pigs, and the morning chicken run. Their dog Luna was super sweet & friendly - with us & all the animals on the farm.
The timing of our stay was perfect, as one of Rachel’s friends was leading a yoga session the next morning. We rode over on our bikes in the morning sunshine, and enjoyed outdoor yoga in the breeze. Ah, Heaven.

Wildlife Orchard Is a spectacular spot to summer camp. When we arrived, our host, Rachel, gave us a tour of her property, explained the various amenities in detail, and introduced us to the farm animals. She thought of absolutely everything. For campers used to a state park campsite, this will feel comfortable and familiar, from the pristine outhouse to the outdoor shower. While we stayed, we made use of the sauna, and picked berries for a fair fee in the morning after breakfast. The site is quiet, and the trails are well maintained. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and fully intend to camp here again some day. 5 stars!
