Bring bug dope, the bugs can be very hungry right about dusk time til about 30 min after the sun goes down. If you have kayaks or paddleboards you are welcome to bring them and enjoy the lake. Watercraft (boats/jet ski's) not allowed. This is a primitive camping spot, meaning no hook ups or WiFi. (no water/sewer/electric/wifi)

About this space The "Kick Back Tiny Shack" has a queen size bed, small futon bed (for a child) along with two single camp cots. This tiny house can sleep up to four people (2-3 most comfortably) depending on your needs. There is a mini fridge with mini freezer along with a mini gas range/oven, microwave, coffee pot, hot water kettle and toaster. There is a TV and Wi-Fi. The cabin has a freestanding gas fireplace to keep you cozy and warm and air conditioning for the hot summer months. Come prepared to relax. This is a rustic cabin with all amenities so no need to pack up dishes, bedding, towels, etc. (bring sleeping bag and pillow for anything other than the queen size bed.) The kitchen is fully stocked with your basic cooking and dining essentials. If you don't want to do dishes you are welcome to bring your own paper plates, etc. Coffee, Salt, pepper, cooking spray, dish soap and hand soap, toilet paper and one roll of paper towels provided. There is not a well or city water, but you will be supplied with an electric pump faucet with 10 gallons of water for the kitchen sink to heat water for doing dishes, etc. There is also an electric pump faucet for the outhouse sink. In addition, 1 to 2 gallons of drinking water will be supplied depending on the length of your stay. There is a heated outhouse next to the cabin which has a shower stall in which you can shower with 120 gallons of water and on demand water heater. Towels are provided and if you need more water, you can contact us, and we can refill at our home which is located next door. Please allow notice in case we are not home at the time. The contact information will be provided with your booking confirmation. You have your own private yard on our 6 acres with a BBQ pit in the summer months, firepit and grill off of the back deck year-round. If you chose to bring a four-wheeler, canoe, boat or snowmobile there is plenty of parking space depending on the quantity. Snowmobiles and side by sides are available for rent 3 miles up the road from the cabin. Come and unwind or explore the many wonders that the Northwoods has to offer! The interior of the cabin is newly refinished. The exterior will be improved as time goes by. No unauthorized guests or pets as a fee may be added and Airbnb does not cover this.

The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest that you’ll hike into from Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round. We have many plans for the property and depending on when you stay, the campground will be in various stages of development. The campsites, trailhead / parking area, and trails are scheduled to be completed in early spring. We hope to add amenities such as a camp sauna and screened-in gazebo later in the 2024 summer / fall. Located just down from Bayview Beach, our property sits nestled between Lake Superior and the Onion River, which runs through the property just behind the cabin. You will have a private beach on Lake Superior all to yourself. While neighbors may be around from time to time, especially on weekends, you will not have to share anything but the sound of waves hitting the shore and birds chirping as the sun sets in the west. You can set up a tent by the cabin or on the beach side in the grass or sand areas—or even on the beach itself if you'd like to catch a sunrise. There is also room for an RV, teardrop trailer, or camper van, if that's what you'd like to bring. A fire ring and firewood are provided, along with some chairs. Kayaks are available after booking for a fee, but you are responsible for safe operation and for understanding when weather conditions are not suitable for their use. At this time, the cabin is not included or open for use, nor is there power available for outside hookups. There is no running water (besides the river and Lake Superior), and no toilets on site. However, you will pass public toilets on your way in—they are roughly 90 seconds away by car. Otherwise, you are responsible for bringing a camp toilet. My friend and I had a perfect weekend at Kyle’s place. We were looking for something more than camping but less than standard accommodation and this was exactly it. Rustic but met our basic needs. It was also stocked with good books, games, and decor that kept us curious and entertained in the evenings. Kyle was also so generous to come by and help us get the wood fire stove started. Though this style of accommodation isn’t for everyone, if you’re comfortable with everything mentioned in the description of the property, I couldn’t recommend it more.

Ashley was so accommodating & let us upgrade to the Dome on short notice when I realized it was a wee chilly for wall tent world. It was a neat experience & great spot to go waterfall-cave- lake viewing from. Highly recommend! Coyote & bird song was lovely too. Also apes galore!

4 nights at Bayview Beauty

Amazing gem right on the lake. The bay keeps Lake Superior calm so waves here don’t get too big and is perfect for kayaking or canoeing. The campsite was easy to find, well maintained, and a true pleasure to hang out at. Bayfield is about 10 minutes away, but this spot is worth the privacy. Our dog loved playing on the beach and in the water all day. We would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to North Shore Hermitage

Molly’s little cabin was great! The hosts were welcoming and hospitable, while still giving us privacy and enough space to enjoy our time on their farm. We really loved all the little extras that made it feel personalized and special. The sauna is not to be missed! The animals were fun to meet and the dogs made sure the space was safe from predators. We can’t wait to come back on our next adventure on the north shore!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Bay Getaway

We had a great stay at Sunset Bay! The site was large and private. Shelia was super responsive and a great host. She provided us with great directions, some dinner recommendations nearby, and firewood. The hosts checked on us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions. All-in-all, a wonderful stay!!

This was the best glamping cabin I have ever stayed at! Incredibly well stocked which can be hard to find. The property was beautiful and secluded. Best of all, the shower was hot and easy to use. The hosts were also extremely responsive and very pleasant people. I will definitely be staying here again!

2 nights at North Shore Hermitage

The Happy Camper was the perfect place for us to rest after long days exploring Duluth and Two Harbors. We appreciated being warmly welcomed with a freshly baked loaf of apple bread and given detailed instructions about the camper. The owners were very open to being contacted anytime with questions and/or concerns. A highlight for us was being greeted by pups Hank and Stella each morning and upon returning from our outings. Molly was so kind to give us a farm tour which we thoroughly enjoyed! She provided us with apples to feed the sheep and horse and took time to tell us about the animals. We would definitely recommend the Happy Camper as it has everything you need in a beautiful setting with very kind and responsive hosts!

Amazing views; I would recommend bringing something to keep you off the ground because it is very uneven. If you bring a dog or kids, be very careful because it is not a joke when they say cliff. I will definitely be coming back!. My friends and I had a blast!.
