I have a menagerie of animals, many rescued or adopted, that love all the attention. All sites include a designated campfire ring and tenting area. Just a 7-minute drive from downtown Chisholm and the biking trails at the REDHEAD Mountain Bike Park, this is a great spot to crash for the night or hang out for the weekend! The property has direct access to the Northern Traxx ATV Trail, located just a short drive down Hwy 84. (Ask for directions if you’d like to explore.) Additional parking for utility trailers or extra vehicles may be available in the Collin Sand and Gravel field. Guests are welcome to wander the property trails at their own discretion. Marie was the best host I’ve ever had! She was nice, professional, helpful, and always responded right away. Her property is spacious and beautiful! At my campsite there was a fire pit, chairs, and picnic table. She also set out a mini charcoal grill, citronella candle, trash can, soapy water, stuff to cook over the fire with, hammocks, and some other surprises. They have firewood if you need it. There was already a few hammocks up but since it rained that day, she hung a dry one for me. The bugs were bad so she sprayed the campsite. Then she asked my plans and texted recommendations for things to see in the area. I would 100% recommend and stay with Marie again!

Weekend Trip to 16 Squared Cabin

Amanda’s cabin was EXACTLY what we needed! My cat Bones and I stayed here for one night. The beds were clean and comfortable, the wood burning stove is beautiful and effective. The outhouse was clean and not too far away. For only being there for one night, we experienced and enjoyed maximum levels of nature! A beautiful owl silently landed in the long grass of the field at dusk (maybe hunting?), I walked around the pretty pond, listening to the symphony of frogs. Just around midnight, a pack of coyotes investigated our camp! They were howling and making amazing “laughing” sounds. Absolutely beautiful. Preparing breakfast the next morning, I glanced out the window and spotted a massive moose trudging around in the pond! He was moving through the reeds, sipping the water and munching on the green vegetation. So cool! This cabin was affordable, easy to get to, suitable for all vehicles (I was in a heavily weighed down Prius, so minimal clearance), parking very close to cabin, private, packed with wildlife, and most of all, has a wonderful, friendly, and responsive host! I’ll definitely be coming back when in the area. Thank you, Amanda!

Weekend Trip to 16 Squared Cabin

This is a fantastic place to stay. The host is wonderful and the location is incredible. We enjoyed the trails and keeping warm by the log cabin. Our dogs also had a blast. We would definitely come back.

This was everything I had hoped for. Private. Spacious. Beautiful. Amanda was attentive to our needs, even bringing us a first aid-kit an hour after arriving 🤣🤣 I selfishly dont want to leave a good review because i dont want it to be busy next time I want to go 🤣 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful place to get away from the daily grind and do some star gazing and watch the meteors streak across the night skies. I'll definitely make the return trek. We'll worthbthen9 hour drive.

The Canoe is the ultimate boat to have in Kabetogama State Forest, which features the 25,000-acre Kabetogama Lake. Over 200 islands are scattered throughout the lake, making for one amazing island-hopping adventure! People often explore the waters by canoe for days, camping on different islands as they go.
