120 acres of country paradise to use as your base camp for adventuring in the Keweenaw. 20 minutes from Houghton and 20 minutes from Baraga/L’Anse. Snowmobile and ATV trail #3 is just a short cruise down Donken-Tapiola Road. Furry friends are always welcome and are able to be off leash! Turtle Pond Site has an approx. 12x30 foot level gravel pad and a fire pit on a small pond frequented by turtles, ducks, deer, birds, and even an occasional beaver. There is a 100 year old Finnish Homestead a short walk down a mowed trail. Guests are encouraged to take a look, but please don't enter the buildings as their integrity is unknown.
We strive to continue to improve our property every year. This year, we are working to improve the pond health and its borders. An updated photo is included in our listing; but you may notice small differences as the property settles back after being disrupted during this improvement. We were able to maintain the privacy that guests compliment in our reviews while also clearing away unnecessary overgrowth.

We are conveniently located between Calumet and McLain State Park as well as adjacent the Swedetown Recreation Area (our property touches Swedetown's boundary and the M203 trailhead is just down the road). Using us as a basecamp, everything the Keweenaw has to offer is easily within reach.
Important details regarding our sites:
Sites 1 - 3 are for tenting groups. Among these sites 1 and 3 will accommodate multiple tents while site 2 only has room for one. There is a short walk to access our tent sites.

We’re just up the road from Hungarian Falls, a beautiful nature preserve with scenic hiking trails, swimming spots, and cascading waterfalls. The historic town of Calumet is only 7 minutes away, home to charming shops, dining, and part of the Keweenaw National Historical Park. Local attractions include:
Swedetown Recreation Area – mountain biking and hiking trails
Calumet Lions Park – disc golf, horseshoes, and nature trails
Calumet Golf Course – only 2 minutes away from us
Calumet Township Waterworks Park – volleyball, basketball, picnic areas, and Lake Superior access
Heading south, you’ll find more adventures within 30 minutes, including Nara Nature Park, Michigan Tech Trails, Maasto Hiihto Trails, and the Portage Canal. For bigger excursions, Mt. Bohemia is just 40 minutes north, and Copper Harbor—with epic views and even more trails—is a bit further beyond.
Although we’re close to several towns and outdoor destinations, our property is peaceful and private. It’s the perfect basecamp for your Keweenaw adventure.

Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quaint and quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
We currently have camping space available both for tents and camping with an RV.
For animals we currently have 3 pigs, 12 chickens, a handful of ducks and 8 of the softest rabbits you will ever meet. We also have a husky named Lakota who is always on leash with us as well as 2 cats, one of which spends much of his time outside.
Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on your own or we are always happy to join. Our disc golf course will be open with t pads and baskets once the ground is firm enough to get everything set up!
In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit.
For guests we also have a community fire pit in our yard and host fires most nights that we have guests. We also have a sauna that we heat up many nights so feel to let us know if these things interest you.

Down the gravel road about 1/3 miles are logging roads to hike, bike and explore. OHV trails are a couple miles away but check local maps for detailed information.

Our campsite is nestled in mixed northern hardwoods and conifers with over a dozen species of trees around the camp area. The site is graced by a large old Oak tree and many larger Maple and Birch making it a well shaded site and protected from wind. A wildlife pond is near the tent sites which hosts frogs and turtles and an occasional passing beaver, otter or muskrat. Deer and Turkey are frequently seen and the area is on migration pathways for Raptures and many songbirds.
The site is a few hundred feet from the Northwest corner of Farmers Block Road and is an ideal base camp for biking, hiking, paddling and fishing adventures in Keweenaw County.
Only one mile from Lake Superior and the Gratiot River - many outdoor activities are easily accessible.
Additional flat tent site undeveloped are close to the site if you have a larger group and need more tent pads let us know and we will try to accomodate you.

Our campsite is nestled in mixed northern hardwoods and conifers with over a dozen species of trees around the camp area. The site is graced by a large old Oak tree and many larger Maple and Birch making it a well shaded site and protected from wind. A wildlife pond is near the tent sites which hosts frogs and turtles and an occasional passing beaver, otter or muskrat. Deer and Turkey are frequently seen and the area is on migration pathways for Raptures and many songbirds.
The site is a few hundred feet from the Northwest corner of Farmers Block Road and is an ideal base camp for biking, hiking, paddling and fishing adventures in Keweenaw County.
Only one mile from Lake Superior and the Gratiot River - many outdoor activities are easily accessible.
Additional flat tent site undeveloped are close to the site if you have a larger group and need more tent pads let us know and we will try to accomodate you.

Cozy vintage trailer located on an inland lake in the Heart of Upper Michigan. Excellent location for outdoor enthusiasts who love to explore waterfalls, fish, and hike. Those who want a homebase with a little extra comfort. Located within a few miles of the Baraga Plains ORV trail and North Country Trails. Trailer has one bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a twin rollaway bed and couch for additional sleeping space. Water is available for bathing and dishes. Please bring your own drinking water. Bathroom has a flushable toilet and shower. This is an amazing little cabin in the woods. Linda and Daryl are great hosts. This place is only 5 min from Mt Bohemia and there is great cell phone reception here. Such a fun home base to explore the Copper Harbor area.

Second time here with a mixed experience
We are winter camping in our van and owner said he wouldn’t be able to get up there to see the snow conditions but we could park on road, cool, sounds good.
We get there and the plow stops before the property. 3ft wall we couldn’t pass. We wound up talking to the neighbors and some random man was in their home when they got there. Crazy! So naturally it felt super uncomfortable to ask if we could camp for the night right up to their driveway.
Turns out the owner of the camp spot was already there that day, knew about the plow issue and just didn’t tell us 🤷🏻♀️
That unusual experience did not take away from the stunning beauty this plot has to offer. The lake was frozen, dead silent and as the sun came up the lake came to life and you could hear all the water rushing underneath. Easily a locked in memory that I will never forget. Stars were amazing as always.

Gotta love the Copper Cabin in winter! Cozy heat with wood stove, tons of fresh snow & sauna to boot! Our 5th stay ( or is it 6?). Darryl & Linda are great hosts - excellent communication, rapid response & friendly comments. We got to meet Linda for the first time, finally & just as nice in person! Quiet, great location. Ryan was was friendly and kept up on anything that I needed for camp. Spacious camp, nice bed, power was provided no problems, plenty of firewood, water, ECT. Lots of hiking and waterfalls within the area. Short distance to fuel, food, town. Ryan and his Father were great hosts.
