We tent camped here for 5 nights. The property is beautiful and well maintained. There was a covered shelf with firewood that was dry and nicely cut for purchase, that was very affordable and convenient. You are overlooking the small pond, and we listened to the many frogs every night while staring at the wide-open sky. The campsite is private and secluded, and you are out of view of the house. The only cons I could mention would be the traffic noise from the nearby road, the lack of cell reception (we did know this ahead of time though), and also the lack of shade for our tents in the main area. Those were not deal breakers to us, but worth a mention. We had a really nice week staying here and would stay again.

This location was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for heading out on local trails. We loved the pond, trees and saw deer, blue heron and wildflowers. Wonderful host provided detailed information for the site and amenities in the local area.

I very much enjoyed camping here! The site was beautiful, the hosts were so nice and made the directions extremely easy to follow. There was some awesome wildlife, frogs were definitely singing! The site was secluded enough to have privacy but not be completely seperated from the world. Would camp here again 100%

Stayed for 1 night on my way to Lake Superior and DEFINITELY would stay again! Peaceful, quiet and private. My dogs loved running off leash and exploring the pond. Gets very dark, makes for wonderful star gazing.
Really appreciated being able to camp here and enjoy the beautiful views.

This place was really great! I am so glad my travels through Michigan included a stay at Stephanie’s wonderful, natural property. The campsite itself was very nicely done and very private. I had some shade in the evening next to the trees as well as an open sky view that was great for both star gazing and Starlink. I hope to revisit next time I’m in the area.

We loved our 3 night stay at Turtle Pond! It's beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained. The mowed paths are fun to walk, and the old Finnish buildings were beautiful. Our pups were happy to be able to galavant off leash for awhile. Stephanie and Gabe were great hosts. We're hoping to return again someday.

Nice, quiet, private little oasis in a great location. Stephanie gave great directions - we had no problems even with little to no cell service. We enjoyed the trails and the proximity to many parts of the U.P. Very fairly priced & great “amenities” (privacy, pond view, trails, gravel pad, fire ring)!

Absolutely beautiful site! Very quiet and peaceful, centrally located for easy travel times for Keweenaw exploration. The old Finnish homestead and walking trails on the property were a wonderful bonus! Stephanie and Gabe are fantastic hosts, very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We loved our stay and are very thankful for the opportunity to share such a special place. T-Mobile had decent service as long as the phone was left in one place 😊

We absolutely adored turtle pond and the surrounding property. This is truly a gem; very private, SO much wildlife around and lots of running space for kids and dogs. There are also many old farmstead buildings on the properties you can see as you walk the trails. Easy in/ easy out with our 23' camper. Thank you to Gabe and Stephanie for sharing this beautiful space with other people and we will most definitely be back!
