Learn more about this land: Escape to a quiet riverfront haven where the only sounds are birdsong, rustling leaves, and the Little Muskegon River drifting by. Your campsite is completely private — a wooded sanctuary with direct river access, a peaceful creek, and a firepit overlooking the water. We keep this land intentionally limited to one single campsite, ensuring you have the entire space to yourself with no neighbors, no noise, and no shared areas. Spend your day floating down the river, casting a line, or wandering the forest paths. When the sun is warm, set a chair right in the shallow edge of the river, dip your feet into the cool current, and enjoy a cold drink as the water flows gently around you. Friendly, well‑behaved dogs are welcome here — they love exploring the woods and splashing along the riverbank just as much as their humans do. As evening settles in, watch the sky fade to stars and fall asleep to the soft rhythm of the river. Guests tell us the peace and seclusion are what make this place special — and why they return year after year. Check‑in and check‑out are flexible, and you’re free to settle in and enjoy the space at your own pace. If you’re looking for a quiet, nature‑filled getaway where you can truly unwind, this is it.

This property is the perfect location to stop and relax while you are traveling on the White Pine Trail. We have cabins and campsites with water and electricity. It is centrally located between Grand Rapids and Cadillac. We offer river access, kayaking, bathrooms, showers, and a dump station. This is an old church camp with 14 different buildings. There is a trail that goes down to the river. My goal is to restore all of the buildings to what they once were. I encourage you to come and investigate before it's all done. I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store for me! Angie Gray

Nestled in Manistee National Forest is a family farm. Trailheads lead to hundreds of miles of public two-track, and the woods roll between oak/maple/beech and aspen/birch. On the farm is a 20 acre lake with a floating island, tent sites, and healthy ecosystems with plenty of wildlife. Our farm pastures pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry, investing in our dirt and our neighbors. We are provision family farms because we provide for our animals even as we are provided for. Drop on in at the house and we may have time for a little tour.In the woods is a small composting toilet, but you're welcome to fertilize our pastures anytime. There's also a shower available in the house. The best time to visit Michigan forests is in October when the leaves turn color and the nights are cool. The mosquitoes are done for the winter and the air is brisk.

I am creating a homestead based on simple but holistic living. The cabin was built built by myself with the help of family and friends. There are a number of trails to walk on the 35 private acreage of rolling hills. This heavily wooded land hosts much wildlife and beautiful scenery. There is a sport court which provides opportunities to play basketball, volleyball, pickleball, or badminton. The property is a work in progress with lots of plans for the future; including a food forest, natural pool, recreation building (being built summer 2022), and more.. The property offers a chance to reconnect with each other, yourself, or the natural world in a simplistic and harmonious way. I hope you come experience it! 35 private acres of forest on rolling hill terrain. Lots of wildlife nestled very close to the flat river; 30-40 minutes away from Grand Rapids. The Fred Meijer trail provides great biking or hiking opportunities. Lazy float tubing or kayaking down the flat river is very popular and only a short walk away. Horse back riding, golf courses, and an amazing local bakery all within a couple miles. And a fun sport court (basketball hoop, volleyball/badminton/pickelball net all right on site!
