This site is a slice of heaven on earth. We had the most comfortable camping conditions weather-wise, it was getting a bit chilly in September so we had the entire property to ourselves. So peaceful and healing. Site 2 and 3 are definitely show stoppers. The walk down to the campsite feels right out of a Disney woodland movie, complete with a ton of foliage, flowers, and a babbling creek that was a dream to listen to as you fall asleep at night. Sarah was awesome and super communicative and let us have free range of the sites during our stay since we were the only ones there. Being on the river was absolutely picturesque and we are already planning on coming back in the summer to enjoy the river more. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your gorgeous property with us, we are so excited to come back with friends!

This is becoming a tradition for my 14-year-old daughter and I to camp together at site 3. We love the sound of the running water from the spring and the views are amazing. Sarah could not be a better host, we always feel welcome and hope to visit her property for years to come.

It's just the most beautiful place to go! It was my third trip and it won't be my last. Sarah is the best hostess and the place is absolutely beautiful.
Definitely bring a wagon and some water shoes and you'll have the best time.
I love Site #1 and keep coming back to it. The others are gorgeous, too, but I love the spillway and the creek. It's so tucked away that you'd never believe there was camping down there. The river isn't super deep so it's great for wading and swimming. Plus, there are spots you could drop kayaks or tubes in up river and float back to Doriath. I brought an anchor and floated on rafts for hours right out front.
I'm so grateful that Sarah shares this place with the world!

We loooooved our stay on site 3!! What a perfect spot for our family camping trip. Sarah was a wonderful host and was ready to come out to help me when my car died! Great spot, great communication- loved the land!
We saw bald eagles flying the river, enjoyed the sounds of the springs while we slept, listened to all the other bird and animal noises and swam and kayaked up and down the river all day! Will be back 10/10. ☀️

The property was absolutely BREATHTAKING. My family and I brought our husky and it was the perfect area to just relax, swim, and fish. Sarah even has a little fenced off section for your dogs! The campsites are a little close together if privacy is an issue for you. But we were lucky enough to have no other campers the first 2 nights! We had an incredible trip and would highly recommend this camp!

We’re a family of 5 (mom,dad, 7 yr old, 4yr old, 2yr old) we each, wholeheartedly enjoyed Sarah’s land ! We had site 2, partly shady and a 2 -3 min walk with a child- to a very clean outhouse. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing a wagon ** (bug repellent**) , it’s a 5-10 min (with children) walk from site 2 to our vehicle. The walk to our site was beautiful; the scenery , the refreshing stream that runs to the river that our site was right upon. A perfect ankle deep initial sandbar within a 30 second walk from our site. Our site had a fire ring and bench. Dad was able to hook a ~ 3# small mouth bass that we released . The distance between each site is comfortable! We would and will definitely return, a really beautiful experience!

Another wonderful 4th of July weekend at Site 1! It's just so gorgeous and serene! Sarah is lovely and the place is perfect.
Some things to note:
Bring a wagon. No, really, bring a wagon. There's a little hill that you'll need a wagon to deal with.
Also, water shoes. Those will make getting in the river a much easier experience! I brought a cinder block to use as an anchor for tubes and we floated for hours. The water is super warm once you get past the stream, so don't panic in those first few steps.
Both times I've been to Doriath Springs, the other campers have been so nice! The place attracts good folks.

The sites were magical! Right on the river and beautiful. We were able to fit 3 tents easily on site 3. One thing to keep in mind is the spots aren't super private if you have neighbors, and each camp site is not car accessible. Other than that, the outhouse was very nice to use and the site was well kept. I'd highly recommend!

The site was great, had easy access to the water compared to the other sites. Not a lot of shade but nothing a canopy can't fix. I will say, you do have to go down a small and a small trek to get to any of the sites. And your car can not be driven to the sites. Parking is at the top of the hill... but worth it. In my opinion, as long as you don't bring too much(that was our mistake)

We loved camping on Sarah's land. It was beautiful and private. Nice little outhouse that's not too far away. You have to hike everything in, but once you're all set up, it's perfect. My kids loved the closeness of the walking trail and the creek.

The site was so serene and beautiful! We even had a bald eagle fly around while we were sitting by the fire! The grounds are well kept and the sound of water running from the creek and river was such a treat to fall asleep to. The owner was very quick to reaping to messages and very informative before and after booking! We will absolutely be returning!

Picture perfect, private and and quiet river front camping on the Muskegon River! The spring-fed creek was the cherry on top. Hands down, my new favorite spot in lower Michigan.

Sarah was a great host and her property was idillic and serene. There are four total campsites, but we were lucky enough to have them all to ourselves. We appreciated the dog run, where we let our dog sniff around off leash when we first arrived. Some reviews state that the creek is freezing (it is!); however, once you get further into the river into deeper water, it's so much warmer! It was a great place to take a morning dip with our dog. The outhouse was very clean and the property is well maintained. There is an option to purchase firewood, which we did not need, but appreciated it nonetheless. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone, particularly groups that may be looking for a serene and quiet campsite together.

Beautiful spot right on the river. No shade on site #4, but we got in later in the day and it was perfect to be warmed by the sun. River access for swimming. Saw a great blue heron fly over the river, heard the chatter of king fishers and saw a deer swim across the river in the morning. We were bike packing, and this hip camp is conveniently, right on the the Pierre Marquette Rail Trail. Just 2 miles from Hershey, so after we got set up and had a swim, just a short bike ride to dinner.

Absolute gem! The property is super nice, Sarah was very friendly, and the site is secluded (about 100' away from the next closest site) from the other 3 on the property. Also being right on the river was a huge plus. The dogs and ourselves had a great time and already plan to come back next year!

Such a beautiful little spot. We enjoyed our stay and so did the kiddos. The site was gorgeous and we loved being right on the creek. I somehow missed that there wasn’t a picnic table, but we made it work. So grateful to Sarah for hosting us. It really was a fantastic weekend.

We camped on a Monday night. We had the whole place to ourselves. The night was gorgeous! Camped during the Persiod meteor shower and had a beautiful surprise with some northern lights! I will for sure come back! There was a freezing cold stream the went out to the a little warmer River. But that didn't stop up from playing in it! Our 13 year old ran around like a little kid! Definitely a core memory for all of us! Thank you Sarah for having us! You are a wonderful person for sharing your beautiful back yard!

My time here was amazing! The tent sites were very private and each had something great, we had the sound of running water and it was an extremely relaxing thing to hear! Very clean campsite with fire pits at each spit, I highly recommend a stay here! Thank you for hosting us and we hope to stay again one day

Doriath Springs is GORGEOUS! I stayed at Site #1 and the sound of the spring coming through the spillway was absolutely delightful. I'll be back for sure!
Couple things to note: The creek is freezing cold (even on 4th of July) and there's no way I could have bathed in it, my feet could only stand it for a moment. The river has lots of branches so it's hard to walk around or swim near the shore, but it is gorgeous. You could definitely kayak or tube though.
Sarah is lovely! My trip got cut short by a giant storm, and she kindly offered me a free night if I came back. Her dogs are cutie pies, too!
It was a really great place to camp. Easy to find, quiet, beautiful. Just what I hoped for! And, "town" is close by so if you need anything you've only got about a 10-15 minute drive back to civilization.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping here! The only thing that would’ve been nice would be a dumpster to throw away our packed out items. Be aware there is a hill down to the camp site and up to the cars so be prepared for that. The potable water was awesome. Being right on the river was amazing. We had two cars and were able to park a second across the driveway. Honestly the pictures don’t even do it justice. It was beautiful. Sarah was awesome as well. She was super friendly and responsive via messaging. Well definitely be back!

This spot is absolutely beautiful. We stayed on site 3 and decided after seeing them all, it was our absolute favorite. We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night. Sitting on the creek and the river really was the chefs kiss of Michigan camping. We floated tubes right from our site and enjoyed watching the kayakers go by. We can’t wait to go back again next year!
There are no picnic tables, so plan accordingly.
