Stayed there twice now and plan to be back next summer. Great spot. Private, quiet, and totally relaxing.
Very private, did not see a soul my entire trip. However it was very hard to find the site and I was unable to reach the host the entire time... I circled back and forth on the road the site was on for about an hour trying to call because I didnt want to pull into a stramgers driveway by mistake and the site itself was labelled "private drive do not enter". If privacy is your goal this is definitely the spot. However, the ""trails"" were extremely overgrown to the point of barely being navigable, and the only path I could find down to the river was overgrown with stinging nettle. Its not a creek you can really wash up in, the banks are steep and extremely muddy, which I know the host cannot control mother nature but I was disappointed since it was specifically advertised as a place you could clean up. I ended up leaving a day early because of this. All in all, its a very nice site but I wish the things I had planned to do (hike on the property and relax by/in the water) all week were actually doable. In the end just sat around the campsite which is not my preferred style of camping. I like to hike + explore the area, and theres basically nothing to do in the vicinity of the area either unless youre a hunter and its the right season, there is a game area near by. That's about it unless you plan on driving around Mt Pleasant. TLDR, site itself is great and very provate, everything else was disappointing and host was extremely uncommunicative

Private, woodsy, and quiet. We will definitely stay again.
I liked how secluded the site was, definitely a bit more car noise than I was expecting, and had to bring my own firewood. Path to the creek was overgrown and crossing the little swamp was janky. It was camping at the end of the day, but definitely expected something a bit better for 30 bucks a night

This site is perfect for a quiet, rural camping experience! Fire tools at the site were very convenient, and the property was beautiful! The walk down to Pine Creek is a bit swampy but so worth it to beat the heat. The creek is clear and there were lots of little fish and frogs.
This was a great spot, secluded with the nearby stream. Our host was very communicative and helpful. Will return in the future!

All in all it was a good camp trip. The trail was overgrown but I was able to manage getting thru half of it. The water was very low & murky. I was glad I brought water with me. I didn’t see poison ivy, but there was a lot of raspberry & Virginia creeper. I was excited to hear coyotes thru the night but it was just a bunch of barking dogs nearby. In the morning there was an auction that was going on loudly over speaker. Then there were ambulance sirens going off. It was nice it was only 2 hrs from home & there weren’t other campers. The Hipcamp owner let me book last minute & let me have a late checkout. The sunshine came brightly thru the camp & was nice with my morning fire. I was hoping to get some work done w/o distractions of home but the noise of the auction was too distracting. I was able to access the internet & contact family.

Very private campsite with gorgeous view of the stars. We overall had a nice trip, but would make a few adjustments:
- The camp site was smaller than I was expecting based on the photos.
- The walk down to the creek was nice, but could definitely use some maintenance to help clear up the stinging nettle and poison ivy.
- There is poison ivy everywhere along the campsite perimeter, so I wouldn’t recommend this site to groups with pets of kids.
- The entryway is marked with blue reflectors (not rocks like the description says)
Great camping experience overall. Loved the location- lots of cute local farmstands nearby to stop at and beautiful scenery.
We fit 2 small tents on the cleared site and easily could have fit 1-2 more. The site feels secluded and safe. Coyotes started barking around dusk and did not stop until dawn. We took a walk down to the river (follow the pink blazes) but the path was very overgrown once you got down to the bottom and the tall grass was irritating our skin, even through pants, so we didn't linger. Lots of thorny plants (blackberries) everywhere. Did not see any ticks and surprisingly low mosquitos. The site came with a couple of nice logs to burn and we had no problem finding kindling and branches nearby for the fire. There were also a few tools, like a shovel, rake, and fire pokey thing.
Note: the little road to the site is hard to find but just be smart about it. I downloaded google maps for the area and saved the coordinates and was able to use the satellite image to find the way (it is marked by two reflectors but there is also a sign that says no trespassing before you see the HIP sign). We did have a little intermittent cell service but don't count on it.
I was with a friend this time but would feel safe camping alone here as a woman.
This piece of property was so beautiful and perfect. Very private, very peaceful. No phone service, but I found that to be part of the charm. I will definitely be back!!!

What a beautiful and secluded sight! It was perfect to pull our car in and so much space! A little hard to find as the markings are different than what’s in the description. When we went it was marked with blue reflective circles on stakes and a small sign on the drive in that said HIP. Rake, shovel, etc available for fire safety was amazing, no bucket available though. Be careful going down to the creek, we ran into some stinging nettle, not the worst but long pants is a good idea! The creek is small but so calm and nice to visit and take a walk in! Had some animal sounds accompany us from neighboring farms; some roosters and a donkey mostly. They weren’t too loud and didn’t impact our stay at all (we thought it was pretty funny, the donkey had a lot to say). Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this spot. The tent spot under the tree is great, the tent stayed in the shade all day and kept us cool. The spot gets a lot of sun midday but the mornings and evenings are nice and shady. The only down side was how overgrown the trail to the creek and the driveway were. The plants on the trail all have thorns and grabby plants that give off a foam that hurts pretty bad when it’s on your skin. The trail and the path to the camp need to be trimmed back, our mini van was getting scratched up trying to get into the site. Other than that the spot is very peaceful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

I loved how private this campsite was! The hike down to the river did have some tall grass, so I would recommend wearing pants down there, but it was definitely worth it! The water was clear, and the whole area was so peaceful. Would definitely come back!

Such an amazing, beautiful spot! Had such a quiet night with great paths to walk and amazing scenery, along with the relaxing sounds of nature!!
Very cool private site. We loved walking down the country road and gazing at the meadow. The marked trail at the campsite was fun to explore. Almost no mosquitoes at the end of June! 5 minutes from Halls Lake, a beautiful lake with small beach and playground. We kayaked 2 days in a row there. Will plan to come back to E's campsite!

Overall we enjoyed this space, but next time I would rather try something new and different.
I am very happy with the privacy and narural beauty. Great for people without children. It is not far from the neighbors farms. I imagined a bigger site but it was plenty big enough for us, just not much flat space for the tent.
The ATVs were loud, but I didn't mind hearing the animals.
The creek was small, the pictures made it look bigger. The trees are marked with ribbons to find it. The first time we went way down a different trail, but it was nice to explore.

Great private campsite! To find the drive auto look out for two white reflective flags! The drive will go uphill most of the way!
I loved every minute of it, we cooked delicious steaks and ate cinnamon rolls. The stars were gorgeous and river beautiful. Camping but you don’t wanna see RVs and share with a bunch of people? This is the spot. Couldn’t find shovel or bucket provided but that’s okay, the fire grate left there was perfect. Someone left their poop sadly :( but picked it up. Hard to find don’t follow maps just find the named road and look for sign with the word “hip”, took an hour to find because google led us wrong.

We loved staying here! Lovely spot for one or two night tent camping. The woods are very active at dusk - we heard cayotes and what we think was a bobcat pretty close by. We love having private space with our reactive dog, so thank you so much!

It was a very peaceful little cut out in the woods. You could hear the coyotes all night so if your Looking for a nature getaway would definitely recommend this spot :).

E's little slice of sweet and slow country is one of my favorites! No frills and no need for them - unwinding is effortless. From the distant calls of coyotes to the river sand between your toes, it's the perfect environment to heal your soul. 💖

The site was difficult to find, the rocks on either side Host said to look for was covered by weeds. Branches hung over so low on the 2 track trail we could not get our truck camper through. We boon dock alot but this site could've used some weed whipping. Unfortunately we had to go home.
The campsite was nice. A true get away, quiet and peaceful. Had a hard time finding location says private property no house or building near the site it's pretty much in the woods off the street. The river was barely there but the pink tape is the trail you would want to follow to find it if interested. Got loud at night with air planes. Nice sky view and pretty well maintained. It's hard to find a camp spot with no other people so for that alone is a 5 out of 5 for me. Simple and a true camp feeling. So many campsites are glamping now, so it's nice to have just the basics.

This spot was a great place to unwind. It felt private, and had a good place to dip in the river if you're up for walking through some tall grass. Even in the rain it was still a great spot to be for a weekend.

It was lovely. I walked down the River, super chill. Private. Watch out for sinking in mud patches. Never saw poison ivy or ticks. Lots of coyotes at night, which was a bit spooky, but I had my dog with me. I had no cell service, which at first caused me anxiety but then became part of the value.
