We have about 40 acres and trails through the area for exploring. You just may come across some "forts" constructed by some of our grandchildren. There is a large fire pit and plenty of firewood for a minimal cost. (Trash can full. ) If you listen in the evening, you are likely able to hear a couple of owls talking back and forth. Usually you can see some deer and maybe some turkeys. There are many old pines around the property, the last remnants of our Christmas tree farm. We have cornhole game available upon request and some table games kept in cabin. If you want to go biking, there is a trail in town, about 5 miles away. The cabin has two futons, one is full-size, and the other is queen size. There is a table and chairs and shelves for kitchen storage, limited pots, pans and utensils available. Campstove is available, for outside use only. At present, there is no heat source inside. There is an outhouse. If more than four people in your group, there are several spots where a tent can be placed. At this time we are not furnishing any bedding. Water will be supplied in 2 seven gallon jugs, with spouts. Firewood will also be available for a minimal cost. Additional water will be furnished when needed There is a 30-inch grill grate to place over the fire pit and several of chairs.

CAMPING PERFECTION: BOOK IT NOW!
This little cabin and clearing in the woods was camping perfection. The setting is beautiful, the shade is lovely, but you also get some sun, you can hear the birds…it’s beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin has all the basics you need: cast iron skillet, random other pots and pans, a kettle for heating water for dishes, coffee, or your baby’s bath, cooking utensils, dishes for eating, dish soap, dish pan, dish rag, trash bags, fire starter, wood for purchase, and salt and pepper. There were also roasting sticks and 2 reclining camping chairs onsite as well as several picnic and folding tables. The two 7 gallon jugs of water were nicely set up and have spouts for easy dispensing. It was enough water for us the whole stay (we arrived Wednesday at 11:00 am and left Friday at 3:00 pm). There are also trails through the woods that you can walk on. The one day I drove out to a wonderful ice cream shop called Mooville that is only 11 minutes away. This place feels like you’re way back in, but if you need anything, you are very close to civilization. Dan and Kathy were super friendly and even provided a high chair and toys for our one-year-old, which she greatly enjoyed! Everything was very clean and well-maintained. It is obvious Dan and Kathy take great pride in their adorable campsite and it’s so lovely that they let us enjoy it too! We would definitely camp here again!!

Me and my best friend absolutely loved our stay!! The cabin was a perfect little getaway and the hosts were so kind and helpful. There was even a field of beautiful wildflowers as your going into the woods which was such a pretty surprise. It was so fun we will definitely be coming again!

Private and Accommodating
Beautiful handmade cabin with artistic details, such as glass marbles in the walls of the outhouse, torched plywood floors, and thoughtful placement of hot dog skewers leaned against the front. The host was kind and left no question unanswered. There was even a map of the property on the table. We really enjoyed walking the trails, which were mowed and easy to follow. The cabin is far far from the main house and perfect for those that need privacy. Great place for our family. Although unheated, when the temperature dropped to low 40's at night, we were comfortable enough inside to throw our blankets off. The cost for a night's stay was right on as consumables such as toilet paper, paper plates, and hand sanitizer were included. I felt it was a good value and am thankful for a wonderful experience.
