We have made many updates and will continue to do so. We take pride in a
clean bath house, and want everyone to have a great time at our campground. Sometimes it's crazy booked up and other times it may just be you.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will answer them as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting lots of new faces and hopefully starting family traditions for you and yours. We have spacious sites that are all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the site it may have 20/30/50 amp service depending on the site. There are currently only three that have 50 amp service. Also some sites have a septic hookup. Water fill station is located near the bathhouse. There is a private dump station also available for use just ask.

We loved it!
We use Hipcamp for privacy and less people. It was everything I could’ve asked for.
She met us upon arrival, which was personable. She also showed us the restroom area and gave us a packet of places to visit in the area!
FREE firewood is provided! This is a game changer!!
And she’s not rushing to kick you out for checkout either which keeps the vacation going even though we had to go home :(.

A-1 place to camp! Excellent stay for the week. Flat campsites with plenty of space to spread out, but enough trees for shade. Private, but close to the (incredibly clean) flush toilet and running water. Laurie was welcoming and generous, making us feel right at home.

Every time I go to Doriath Springs, I fall more in love with it. The grounds are beautiful, perfectly maintained. The spillway and creek are delightful, the flowers are beautiful, and the river is so pretty.
The hill down to the campsites is kind of steep, so either pack super light or bring a wagon- or both. But it's totally worth it!
Sarah is the perfect hostess. She's there if you need her, but not intrusive at all.
Town is close, there's a really good ice cream place nearby, and even though you're not too far from civilization, you're completely isolated from it.

The owner was super kind, so were his kids and they are all so helpful. We were getting up there later in the evening and he was kind enough to start a fire for us which made our first evening up there so much easier! Our site was large and private, our group was 10 people and it fit us perfectly. The environment was very relaxing and the campground had so many fun things to do. Having the dedicated shower/bath house was so nice and made the stay way easier. All of our neighbors were awesome and fun to be around. I would have loved to be up there earlier in the week for a longer stay, but our four nights were great.
The location was also perfect for everything we wanted to do. We were close to the Pine River for fishing and close enough to nearby towns and trails while still feeling tucked away in the woods. You can really tell the owners care about the campground and the experience people have while staying there. Everything felt welcoming, peaceful, and well maintained. We made a lot of great memories during our trip and would absolutely come back again in the future.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin, really peaceful and relaxing area, hosts were friendly and helpful. We loved seeing all the animals, and our daughter really loved helping with the chores. The cabin is really nice and very spacious, we will definitely be going back. Great breakfast also.

There is truly no better way to describe Sherman City Acres than calling it an absolute gem. If you are even considering a visit, do not hesitate, book your stay today.
Megan and her husband, Adam, are exceptional hosts, and their dedication to creating an unforgettable experience is unmatched. The campsites are beautifully maintained, thoughtfully designed, and offer a perfect balance of privacy and comfort. Each site feels secluded enough to relax completely, yet still safe and welcoming.
We had originally planned to kayak since our site was right on the river, but due to a blockage downstream, rentals were unavailable. What happened next speaks volumes about the kind of people Megan and Adam are. On our final day, they went far above and beyond, offering us kayaks and ensuring we could still enjoy the experience. Adam even went chest-deep into the river, not once but twice, to clear the blockage himself.
That level of care and commitment is rare, and it genuinely made our trip unforgettable. Megan and Adam, thank you for your incredible hospitality and for making our stay at Sherman City Acres so special.

Stayed here with friends over the Memorial Day Holiday. Plenty of space for lots of kids to play. Access to the full hookups and the porta-potty was helpful. Was very windy the day we arrived, but calmed down nicely after that. The riverfront area is great. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Weekend Trip to Dan's Acre’s Cabin’s and camping
The Eagle's Nest was the perfect camping experience with the upgrade of not having to set up a tent! About 40 minutes from the Manistee River Trail, which is where my husband and I headed the next day. Great setup with lots of space, nice fire ring, sawdust toilet, and Jeff was a communicative, thoughtful host.

Weekend Trip to Provision Family Farms
We absolutely adored our stay in the treehouse and were thrilled to watch the farm animals munching away in all the different pastures! Plus, being JRR Tolkien fans, it was a real treat to see the hobbit hole under construction! And with the lake right there, we had a blast getting our paddle boards in the water!
