Everything was clean and well maintained. Loved the wooden platforms, string of lights, fire pit. Unexpected bonus was some firewood and two hammocks already set up. Gorgeous view of the river and so convenient to the bike trail. Check in was a breeze. Note: As an active freight rail line goes alongside the bike trail and river, do expect train whistles and noise several times a night.

This riverfront campsite was everything we expected it to be and more! From check-in to check-out, we had the site completely to ourselves. We have 2 reactive dogs, and are always worried about interacting with other dogs at crowded campgrounds. This trip, our dogs were more relaxed than ever, were able to roam the entire site, and exhausted themselves from all the zoomies!! We were rained in most of our second day there, but still had plenty of fun. There was a full shower bag provided, full basin of water for the hand-washing sink, and surprisingly clean bathroom amenities. There are 2 wooden platforms closer to the water, and 1 larger platform toward the back of the site where we set up our tent. All 3 were very well-maintained. There are string lights set up, but you need to rent/have a generator to power them. The fire pit was great, and we had purchased the $10 firewood bundle - Zach left 2 bundles for us in the covered kitchen area. Lastly, if you’re looking to fish, we caught a good sized rainbow trout and a baby catfish! Great trip overall.

We used this site as a way to test drive some updates made to our RV, and the area was super private, the amenities all worked perfectly, and the host was super helpful and communicative with any questions throughout the stay! The pool was also an awesome touch given the July heat. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if needed!

Shelly's woods is a beautiful site next to the creek out in PA farm country. Feels like the middle of nowhere but it is only minutes from a food lion, a hardware store and tractor supply. Plenty of space to set up multiple tents, we had a crew of 10 with two XXL tents and had no problems. Going in lack of potable water on site was our biggest concern, but food lion has a water fill station outside of the store. Daniel was great, very responsive and helped us out when we had to cut our trip a couple days short due to our tents showing their age.

The perfect spot for a family camp trip! It was convenient having the covered picnic tables for cooking and hanging out during some drizzle. The creek was perfect for cooling off. The porta potty was nice to have as well! So nice that wood was stocked and we enjoyed the fire pit by the creek as well! Well taken care of property I for sure recommend!

Shelly’s Woods was a beautiful place to spend quality time with family! We just spent 4 nights at Shelly Woods and had a wonderful time. Grounds were in great shape even though it had rained for days before our arrival. Daniel was awesome at communicating his concerns days prior to our arrival about the creek and condition of the grounds. Mother Nature cooperated and we had a great time. Once the creek decided to recede the grandkids enjoyed wading and skipping rocks. The pavilion was perfect to get out of the rain a few rain showers we had. The outhouse/jiffy john was good to have. The swings were enjoyed by the little people and I spent many hours swinging my newest grandbaby to sleep. This is a great place to make memories with no outside interruption’s! Host was great at communicating, even had dry firewood available, and checked on us after a storm passed. We will definitely keep Shelly’s Woods on our list of places to spend quality time with family. Thank You Daniel and family for sharing your place with us!
