The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal life.Property is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

There are four unimproved sites with picnic tables and fire rings that will only accommodate one tent. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

Ellie's RV Spot is a single RV site designed for use by any length Class A thru C motorized or towable style recreational vehicles including conversion vans/off grid vehicles. 50 or 30 amp electric, water, sewer and screaming fast wifi are included.  All RV's including off grid and pop-ups must set up on GRAVEL PAD only. This is to prevent damage to the private septic system. Your camper RV, off grid van or pop up MUST have an on board toilet, composting or otherwise, no exceptions. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent.  A sister cabin shares the half acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. This cabin is booked up 95 percent for the season. Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. Other then a few scattered seasonal hunting camps, this is a privately owned uninhabited / undeveloped tract of land on the Eastern banks of the Seabasticook River watershed. Learn more about this land: Primitive Tent Camping within a mixed wood forest. Located ten miles East of Waterville, Maine or Six miles West of Unity, Maine. The Sebasticook Millennium Green is a terraced 207 acre forest with over 18 miles of trails. Vehicle access is via a seasonal town road with parking a short walk from campsites. There are four unimproved sites with picnic tables and fire rings that will only accommodate one tent. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

Great spot! Lots of details thought of with the firepit grill and utensils including marshmallow roasting sticks. Loved the counter and mushroom stools! Wouldn’t feel comfortable in windy weather just due to the shallow rooted trees- but it’s a beautiful spot! Reminded me of camping on the Olympic peninsula.

This was our second visit to Paul's cabin and did not disappoint again. Paul made sure there was enough water and wood to last our stay. There is now a flushing toilet outside which was a nice treat. There are many fantastic walking trails close by including the Appalachian Trail. This time round we spent time at North Pond and Juniper Knee Pond and hiked 4ish hour to Little Wilson Falls (there and back and time at the falls).

I had a nice stay here. The privy was clean and it's only 30-40 minute drive from Bangor. The sites are on a slight grade of a hill but it isn't that bad and they each have a fire ring and picnic table with a trash can.

We enjoyed the beach, and I would highly consider coming back at a warmer time. The campsite we stayed at wasn’t as big as it looked in photos, so there was some maneuvering near the old house to fit our two tiny trailers. It was an hour to the main Acadia entrance, but so beautiful out there. If camping in tick season, bring spray and check your dogs. We were covered. Beach was 100/10.

My husband and I were visiting Acadia and spent the night at the rabbit run spot. There was firewood and water set out for us and we were given clear instructions on how to get there. Best of all: a bathroom with a toilet and running water!! You’ll be greeted in the morning by chickens, ducks, and their dog Sadie if you’re lucky. While I didn't personally get to enjoy my overnight stay here due to unforeseen circumstances with my car, Ashley was responsive and also very helpful with my campsite. I was able to get in without any issues, as the instructions were very clear. When my car broke down on the way to a hike after I had set up my campsite, Ashley was willing tear everything down and store it off to the side for me. I am very grateful that there are still good people in the world, and just based on this experience with Ashley, I would highly recommend staying here!

By far, this was the most pleasant Hipcamp experience I’ve had. Every site at this homestead is nice, well-maintained and easily accessed. The host, Mike, was truly amazing as he went above and beyond to help us out! Upon our arrival, we realized we had some vehicle issues. Mike was more than willing to help accommodate us while we fixed the issue. What could have been a terrible situation was made better by the fact that we had stayed at this location. We would 100% recommend booking any site at the True Serendipity Homestead! You get a quiet, beautiful view and you’re helping a true homesteader!

There is a lot of wide open sky for night viewing. Slowly adding flower gardens, huge vegetable garden, grape vines and fruit trees as well have begun making trails through part of the forest. We have water drilled but not yet accessible for use. Next year!! The property is off grid and there is no outhouse so self contained units only. Out house coming late 2025! There are 100 acres surrounded by Timberlands to explore. There is a large vernal pond we are hoping to keep filled once the well (at 50 gallons a minute!!) is accessed by solar. We swim in it when the rains are plentiful. Feel free to make a fire pit in the gravel pit. Please use all available wood for your fires!! Lots of it! We are one mile down the road from Route 3, half hour West of Belfast, 10 minutes from Lake St. George. Note that the road is often called Hidden Valley as well as Kingdom Road. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. It is a little more secluded, 2-3 minutes further from the road in a very quiet wooded niche, at the edge of the marsh. It is also a little smaller tent (10' diameter) situated on a platform, and a little more "camping" than "glamping". We are pricing the stay there according. In spite of being nestled in the woods, no trees were cut to prepare these relatively accessible sites. We believe that they still offer a very tangible sense of wildness and solitude. The brand new eco-cabin built in 2023 sits on 10 private acres within walking/biking distance exciting destinations on Cape Rosier including Holbrook Island Sanctuary, The Good Life Center, Four Season Farm, and many secluded beaches. It is a one-hour drive to Acadia National Park! ECO-CABIN. The two-room, insulated, clean and cozy cabin has an adorable front porch with two fold-out chairs and a small table. There are solar string lights that light up automatically at night. Inside you will find all new furnishings. The main room has a dining table and two chairs, a small library of local authors, games for indoor entertainment, and solar lanterns and battery-powered candles for when it's dark. The back bedroom has a new, super-comfy queen bed, two drawers, and plenty of hooks. The bed has a mattress cover and clean, fitted sheet. BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAGS AND PILLOWS. PATIO & OUTDOOR KITCHEN - Adjacent to the cabin is a lovely cedar patio with a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen, patio table and chairs with an umbrella for shade, and outdoor games (corn hole and bocce). Cooking supplies included: • Camp Stove: Eureka Ignite 2-Burner with bottled propane included • Cooking supplies: Skillet, small and large pot, kettle, French press • Camping cookware: 4 plastic plates, 4 plastic bowls, 4 coffee cups with lids, utensils, sharp knife, cutting board, 2 wooden spoons, wooden spatula, scissors, can opener, vegetable peeler, seafood cracker, avocado oil, salt and pepper • Fire pit with cooking grill OUTHOUSE – Just a few steps from the cabin is the outhouse, solar shower, and outdoor sink. There is a composting toilet inside with a battery-powered light for nighttime. Outside, there is a gravity-fed sink with non-potable running water and solar shower bag for a quick rinse. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS. FIRE PIT - A new, stone fire pit with a fitted grill for cooking is just off the front stone staircase. The dark sky is simply amazing on a clear night! BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD OR EASILY GATHER DOWNED WOOD ON THE LAND NO RUNNING WATER. We provide non-potable water for hand- and dishwashing from the rain barrel. BRING YOUR OWN POTABLE (DRINKING) WATER. NO ELECTRICITY. This is a truly an off-grid cabin so no air conditioning or electrical outlets. There is a nice cross, ocean breeze in the cabin. Please note: No electricity, no plumbing, no wi-fi. Campers are required to bring their own drinking water, towels and bedding (pillows and sleeping bags). We will supply you with one 5 gallon solar shower bag of non-potable water, toilet paper, and a limited amount of battery operated or solar powered light fixtures. We encourage campers to bring flashlights and headlamps. This site does not offer internet, but cell service from certain providers seems to be quite good.
