• Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions).
• A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo!
• No electricity at the cabin or on the property
• No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water.
• The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay.
• The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours!
• Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent!
• There is a New tiny cabin construction on site!
• This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental.

The back bedroom has a new, super-comfy queen bed, two drawers, and plenty of hooks. The bed has a mattress cover and clean, fitted sheet. BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAGS AND PILLOWS.

Its like going back in time a hundred years but you have some cell reception, unlike our ancestors. Have made several improvements to cabin not yet reflected in guest photos. Yeti type cooler provided for refrigeration of food for longer stays. The cabin is small but can accommodate 5 easily. Queen bed with bunk beds in 1st floor bedroom, full size and twin bed in upstairs bedroom. Clean linens provided. Open kitchen and living room. Seems like most people love it. Pretty sure you will too. So much to do in the area. Be as bored or as active as you want. Welcome book with directions to local spots all very close. Waterfalls, the most beautiful lake (Onawa), swimming holes... all close by. Appalachian trail out back. Other sites close by must be driven to but close by still, away from town. Thank you to my guests for uploading photos. I'm not good at that so I rely on you.

Stuart Little’s dream house is an off-grid cabin on the edge of the woods, in the backyard of our home. The cabin is perfect for people who are camping, but want a little more accommodation. It has two futons that can turn into double beds, table and chairs, small porch, outhouse, limited power and a picnic table. Bring your sleeping bag, headlamp, camp stove, and you are all set! There are also places to pitch a tent, if desired.
We are just a mile down the road from where EB White lived. The setting of Stuart Little's dream house (our yard) gives a glimpse into some real Maine living: Boats and boat trailers, a rambling garden, and often a free pile at the end of the driveway.
*Note: There is no heat or/ac. There is limited power via an extension chord for a couple devices. We do sometimes lose power if it is windy.

*Note: Please bring a sleeping bag. Otherwise, bedding/linens can be rented at $10/bed.
*Hip Camp likes to say we are less than an hour to Acadia National Park, but I feel that is misleading. It's usually about 1.5 hours to get to any of the trails/beaches.

The sky is intense- the owls are loud, and there is plenty to do within a short drive incase ya get cabin fever and want to get back into the world for some fun!
Make sure to save some time to take a paddle on the canoe, kayaks, or paddleboard that we leave down at a nearby pond for you!

In Corinth, paved roads are considered ATV trails as long as you're heading to a trail (closest trail is less than 4 miles away). We are 30 minutes from the Interstate, 30 minutes from the Waterfront Concerts venue and Cross Insurance Center, and less than 1-2 hours from a ton of great outdoor attractions, like the Moosehead Lake Region, Baxter State Park, Fort Knox / Penobscot Observatory, and tons more.
We can offer 15a electric at Sites 1 and 4, and we have a small dumpster, one bag of trash per stay is allowed. There is direct access to our private wooded trail system (non-motorized-use-only).
Camp site property is attached to a small hobby farm with 2 horses and a flock of chickens. We sell beautiful blue/green/brown farm-fresh eggs from our free range chickens ($5/dozen). We also offer an optional and customizable "Farm Experience"... collect eggs, brush and feed horses, etc.

We loved the cabin for our short stay to visit friends in the area. The space was plentiful for our family (two adults and a toddler), and well stocked for our needs. Beautiful property, secluded, quiet, and a nice path to the waterfront. J (host) was very warm and welcoming, and made sure we had what we needed. Would definitely book again.

3 nights at Quarry Ledge Campground
We had a good stay at Quarry Ledge. We began our 3 night stay in one cabin then asked to move to Acorn because it was more shaded and they were so accommodating. We had changed cabins in an hour. The bathrooms are clean, the campground is lovely. It is a good location, not too far to have fun at the park.

2 nights at 100 Mile Wilderness Cabin
This cabin is fantastic! My husband and I have now stayed 3 times. It offers a change to unplug and recharge. Paul is wonderful and the space is everything you could ask for. The addition of the flushing toilet made our kids very happy.

Most magical stay ever. Everything from the pathway lights to the wild blueberries and candle-lit cozy cabin. The ducks are so adorable they will make your heart well up. I didn’t know it was possible to feel this much bliss. If you like a rustic, old fashioned, simply serene vacation then this is the place for you!

Our stay at the Cabin in the Woods at Tilden Pond was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking to truly disconnect from the stress of everyday life and immerse yourself in the beauty of Maine, this is the place.
The cabin was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable rustic stay. The surrounding forest was peaceful, and the walk down to Tilden Pond was absolutely breathtaking. We spent our days paddling, fishing, relaxing by the water, and listening to the loons—exactly the kind of experience we were looking for. The property feels wonderfully secluded while still being just a short drive from Belfast if you need supplies or want to explore the coast.
One of the highlights was how dog-friendly the property is. Our dog had the time of their life exploring the trails, swimming in the pond, and enjoying the freedom of the woods. It was incredible to find a place where both we and our pup could truly relax.
Robert was an exceptional host from start to finish. His communication was prompt, friendly, and helpful, making the entire experience seamless.
This wasn’t just a camping trip—it was a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Weekend Trip to Harborside Eco-Cabin
A comfortable cabin on gorgeous land! Loved the abundant wildflowers, great stars and sighting the aurora borealis along with fireworks on the fourth. We did see the porcupine family, but luckily my old dog didn't feel a need to chase them.
Shower was very convenient, and the composting toilet was clean. Good cooking supplies, and we also got pre-steamed lobster at a nearby store, which would have been difficult to boil on a fire.
Definitely bring bugspray and long sleeves, the mosquitoes were brutal from 6-10pm.

Weekend Trip to Private Waterfront Cabin/Campsites
This is a place where you can feel at peace but still have everything you need, even though there is no running water or electricity..
They have thought of just about everything, to a full covered kitchen, to a vanity, to boats and a little shack filled with s'mores stuff, sodas and more. They even offer priced services from art class and cooked/baked meals
We must go back.

Robert is a great host. Very clear communication. This is a really special place. I don’t think the description and photos do it justice. It is only 10 minutes from home but it feels like we were deep in the wilderness. We loved paddling around the pond and even saw a beaver swimming by!
Sadly, my dog got a little too curious with a porcupine so beware if your dog is also determined to make friends with porcupines.
We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
We absolutely loved our stay! Cabin was very clean and was well-stocked with extra supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitizer, napkins). Robert was very responsive and gave us great recommendations. Kayaking on the pond was a highlight. We especially enjoyed hearing and seeing the loons. Birders: bring your cameras and binoculars! You’re bound to hear and see quite a bit.

This camp was great. We enjoyed the access to the AT and walked on it both days we were there. The camp had everything we needed in terms of bedding. There was a great cast iron skillet that we used for most meals. The bathroom situation was great. Unusual to have a flush toilet. I would recommend this camp.

Such a perfect spot for our weekend away with our dogs. The little cabin was perfect and came equipped with everything we needed. I loved hanging out on the front porch during a passing shower ❤️. The outdoor kitchen on the side had plenty of space for cooking and prepping and was covered to keep us protected during any rain. The fire pit was massive and made roasting marshmallows (curtesy of the outpost goodies) super easy and fun! We took full advantage of the boat launch area by letting our dogs swim, kayaking, and fishing. Tons of great fishing out here and a really cool ecosystem out on the pond! At night, the stars were incredible and the sound of the loons were so peaceful. We will definitely be back!
