• Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions).
• A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo!
• No electricity at the cabin or on the property
• No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water.
• The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay.
• The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours!
• Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent!
• There is a New tiny cabin construction on site!
• This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental.

Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. Upon booking, I will send a welcome email with all info needed for your stay. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily accommodated 20+ campers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and tents are welcome! We previously accepted RVs, but for 2026 this has changed due to tenants now in an RV. There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here too. I travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit.
Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available, and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking.
Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you.
Sometimes we get campers who are going to a concert in Bangor, which is awesome. Any hours coming and going are fine! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Our sites have plenty of trees, no light pollution, access to ATV and hiking trails. Each site has a fire ring, trash can, picnic table and are large. Primitve sites have a fire ring only. Cross the seasonal pond tobe away from it all. But we are still 45 minutes away from Bangor and 30 from Dover Foxcroft. Not only is our cozy, modest house sunflower yellow but in August it is surrounded with sunflowers of all sizes.
We share our property with a flock of sweet hens and ducks.....and a few bossy roosters.
Eggs are available for purchase if needed. There is a little greenhouse with herbs, greens and strawberries. The field is also an apple orchard that mostly feeds the wildlife. The tent site is privately placed in our cove unseen from the house.
We wanted to offer a site that we would enjoy as well and feels like it is
in a world of its own. We spend all of our free time outside, camping and paddling the local rivers and lakes. Tommy and I can recommend many beautiful remote Maine adventures for you to experience that are located off the grid and away from all other humans.
The sweet city of Ellsworth is only 7 miles away for all of your provisions and Otis General Store is 1 mile away.. they have everything to get you through plus beer, wine, ice and homemade pizza. We can give you a pass to visit the Beech Hill Pond Beach also only 1 mile away (I walk there all the time)
which has clear water and a
sandy bottom. Great spot to spend the day sunbathing and swimming.
I can offer yoga, personal training, boxing and paddleboard lessons or SUP yoga for some onsite physical fitness fun upon request.

This is a huge level gravel pad up a long dirt driveway. Travel down a dirt road about 1 mile to find your oasis in nature.
4 wheel drive is not required but necessary if you bring an RV (please use 4 wheel drive when going up the driveway if you’re towing to avoid creating ruts in the drive way. A car will make it down the dirt road and up the semi-steep drive way. PLEASE DRIVE SLOW to respect the road and preserve the undercarriage of your car.
Please bring everything you need for a great stay and take everything with you when you depart. The pad will accommodate multiple tents, a small to medium sized RV and 4-5 cars.
There are no onsite amenities. Please bring your water and plan to take your trash with you. The area is lush and green and the stars are bright at night.
Any fallen trees are yours to use for firewood. You can also take any small branches from the brush piles. We just ask that you do not cut down any other trees on the property.
You have 13 acres all to yourself. There are a few short trails that lead to the rear of the property but they are very short and not maintained paths.
Guests interactions:
You are on your own! We will observe the property after your checkout. Please take everything with you and do not burn trash in the fire ring.
There are nearby ATV trails. If you bring ATVs, kindly ask that you drive them carefully on our gravel pad, driveway, and dirt road (drive slow, no donuts please :))
Dogs are welcome! Bring your friends. Take your trash. Please respect our nature and pack it out if you pack it in. That includes anything you may or may not do in the woods. Do not leave tissue paper or piles of #2 on the paths. Use a bag, pack it out.
We do not provide anything besides the space to pop a tent. Bring a hand saw to cut wood!

This might be one of my favorite sites! I did my first solo camping trip and I was at peace the whole time. Tim met me in town to show me the way and was very friendly. The porta potty was very clean! The solar lights were just right for the spot and could be turned off if you wanted more darkness. I watched beavers, listened to a lot of birds and squirrels, saw the most beautiful pileated woodpecker right at my site, and of course listened to the many loons! I highly recommend this site and look forward to returning here again!

This spot is AMAZING! My husband, my dog I had the most relaxing trip here. Everything was so neat and clean especially the outhouse! Having an abundance of pre-cut dry wood was so clutch and saved us a lot of headache. We WILL be coming back!

Excellent spot for tent camping! Honestly the scenery was magical.
Platform was spacious for our 4 person tent, and the campground itself is well maintained and extremely lush. Every site was occupied but it still felt peaceful. Lake is gorgeous, and we saw the Milky Way on a clear night.
Campsite does not have a picnic table. You can use the platform to prepare meals and spread out, but bring your own chairs
Be ready for bagged toilet. IMO it is more pleasant than the vault toilets at most campgrounds!

Stayed here with my wife over Labor Day weekend. We have stayed at many Hipcamp locations and the quality of this site is the best we've encountered. Not talking about the location--which is also fabulous. The site is clean and well organized, Trash and recycling on the premises and a ton of firewood is included. Kyle has a poker for the fire and a grate I'd actual cook on. As mentioned in other reviews, the site has the nicest outhouse on the planet. This place would be a blast for multiple families. There are 3 fairly level tent plots that are spaced apart.
The location is also spectacular. Trees provide a canopy for shade and a small amount of protection from the rain.
Would definitely come back.

We stayed at Randall Farm as a quick pit-stop from Massachusetts to New Brunswick. We arrived later in the evening and had no issues upon arrival. We decided to camp near the arbor/benches as there was a fire ring and a port-a-potty available (very clean). The farm was level and mowed, so we had no issues setting up camp. We had two vehicles with roof top tents with a total of four people and two dogs. There are some critters lurking about, so be prepared with recall if you have off-leash dogs. No wood was available, so be prepared to bring your own wood. Great stay, would return again if in the area! Just a heads up, the highway is very close, we heard tractor trailers driving by until a little after midnight.

Loon Call camp was magical. The owners were so welcoming and the site was very well equipped with a fire pit, wood, solar-powered LED lights, tent sites and a dock at the Lake edge. Best of all was being serenaded by the loons and watching beavers swim back and forth. Our dog loved being off-leash, with space to explore safely. We highly recommend the site and hope we can return sometime.

Wild Soul Serenity is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. From the moment we arrived, there was such a peaceful and welcoming feeling. Surrounded by nature and away from the noise of everyday life, it was the perfect place to slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy the moment. You can feel the heart and intention behind what Kat has created—a place to disconnect, reconnect with nature, and feel at peace. Kat is absolutely wonderful. She was kind, welcoming, genuine, and incredibly accommodating. You can tell this is much more than a campground to her; she has created something with real purpose, care, and heart. It’s a non profit organization which makes it even more pure and meaningful. But the most meaningful part of our stay was watching my Asterix. As a service dog in training, so much of his life is about structure, focus, training, and knowing when he is working. Watching him finally have the chance to be completely off duty and just be a dog brought tears to my eyes. I stood there watching him run up and down the beach, completely free, carefree, and happy. After all the training and hard work we do together, seeing him simply run, play, explore, and enjoy himself was incredibly emotional. For that moment, he didn’t have to work or focus—he could just be Asterix. That moment alone made our trip worth it 🐾 Thank you, Kat, for creating such a beautiful place and giving us a memory I will always treasure. We will absolutely be back!!!
