We had a truly wonderful stay at Tina’s cozy cabin. From the moment we arrived, Tina welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel like old friends. The cabin itself is immaculate—spotlessly clean, extremely well maintained, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. What really stood out was the peaceful setting. Just a few steps from the cabin is a private platform right on the lake, where we spent hours listening to the birds and soaking in the calm, natural beauty. It’s the perfect place to unwind. Tina’s attention to detail and her friendly, caring nature turned our vacation into something special. The property offers a perfect balance of privacy, comfort, and convenience—all at a very affordable price. It truly felt like a home away from home. We’re grateful for the experience and even more grateful to have met Tina. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We spent quite a bit more time in the cozy cabin than we thought; it was a very nice respite from the Maine summer rain. Beautiful property, foggy and scenic.

We had a great time here. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had, and the pictures online were very representative of what the reality of the place was. Location felt off the beaten path (which we wanted) but the grocery store was only 15 minutes away. The rental came with access to some kayaks and a really cool tent with everything you'd need. Overall, id definitely stay again 😊

Perfect location for "getting away from it all", but yet close to all amenities if needed. Robert is a class act, communication is wonderful and he will go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. Looking forward to going back in the near future. If you love the outdoors and being in touch with nature, this is the place for you.

Even with our late arrival, Michelle still managed to welcome us so warmly. Check in went smoothly, very easy to find, and great location. Access to all campground amenities which is great ! We had no neighbors where we were situated, so it was nice. Quiet area. The A frame was as described and exactly what we were looking for, especially with functional AC!

This is a beautiful spot!!! It was relaxing and quiet, beautiful wild flowers and the fireflies at night! It’s a great location , we biked to Deer Ise and swam right down the road from the cabin. It’s a quaint space with everything you need. Loved the composting toilet and umbrella on the deck.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is surrounded by nature..saw birds, fox, frogs, snake, turtles. So peaceful. You can sit in the screen tent and enjoy your surroundings. Another seating area by the fire pit, plenty of wood cut and ready. Walk a short distance to another screen room on the pond, 3 kayaks, binoculars, towels, life jackets, seating, dock. This was the location for snake and fro, did not see until my daughter went looking. . Turtle was meandering down the dirt road. The cabin is small, cozy, and so well put together. All you need for cooking, bedding, towels, stove, oven, microwave, fridge, outdoor grill is right there. We will definitely come stay again. Bring a good camera and binoculars. Market 5 miles down the road is an IGA grocery with a pizza and sub shop. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Stuart Little's Cabin was a great spot for my little getaway. It's on the hosts property but the cabins surroundings made it feel very private. It was very quiet and peaceful at night, so great for sleeping. The extension cord was nice to be able to run the fan or charge your phone so you're not totally off grid. The RV/boat type bathroom facility was very clean and Tressa left very clear instructions as to how to use it, if someone wasn't familiar with one. Very reasonably priced. Close to Deer Isle and Stonington and the drive to Acadia isn't too bad.

What a great little spot! For how small and rustic the cabin is, it's nonetheless filled a thoughtful and useful array of amenities. Will absolutely be back.

3 nights at Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond

I had a great time at Robert's cabin. I was very pleased with the necessities that were provided: camp chairs, a grille to set cookware on over the fire, and a tick removal kit were among the highlights. I had fun exploring the property and paddling Tilden Pond. I did get my 2WD car stuck in the mud on the way out, though, so coming in a 4WD vehicle would be best!

3 nights at Trailside Camp

This off grid cabin was exactly as advertised. Its location on the Downeast Sunrise Trail was perfect for us. Steve was extremely detailed with directions to find this great cabin and also with all of the other info. you may need once you get there . Cabin was clean and even had an outdoor shower with hot water! We spent a lot of time enjoying the fire pit where Steve left us plenty of dry fire wood for our three night stay. Thanks Steve! We really enjoyed our long weekend at your camp.

We have an inviting, cozy 2-bedroom cottage on Flanders Pond. The sunrises are fabulous, there is a private dock with kayak and canoe in the summer, hammock hanging between the shade trees, firepit for evenings outside and lots of stargazing to do! Stuart Little’s dream house is an off-grid cabin on the edge of the woods, in the backyard of our home. The cabin is perfect for people who are camping, but want a little more accommodation. It has two futons that can turn into double beds, table and chairs, small porch, outhouse, and a picnic bench. Bring your sleeping bag and camp stove, and you are all set! There are also places to pitch a tent, if desired. Tiny A-Frame Cabin on a personal wildlife preserve! Located a mile from the Passadumkeag River and three miles from the Penobscot River! Quiet Space! Come enjoy a 'Piece of my Peace!' Meadow Vista and Garden views With Composting Toilet, No Electricity and No Running Water! • The wall does lift up and down so you can be closed in if it rains but I leave it open most of the time to allow air flow. • There is a fire pit and two chairs available at the cabin for you to cozy up or cook your food. If you would like a wheel barrow full of firewood provided there is some available on site for a small donation. • There is a hammock with a shade cover at the cabin for you to use. • There is a bug net provided in the cabin if you're in need of some extra protection indoors. • Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive with a few hiking trails. • Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions). • A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo! • No electricity at the cabin or on the property • No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water. • The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay. • The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours! • Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent! • There is a New tiny cabin construction on site! • This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental. There’s plenty of chairs. You will find towels & magazines. You can see the sun come up and go down on the lake. It’s a rare piece of property to be able to see the sunrises and sunsets. Welcome to country living on Sheepscot Pond and it’s over 1200 acres with every kind of fish! There’s over 6 miles of hiking on dirt roads you can bring your own four wheeler, dirtbike or side-by-side and have fun riding the roads. It’s year-round great for ice fishing snowmobile trails right out your door. You can get onto the ITS trails or come and snowshoe. It’s the best place to do photography! Note: Private, right-of-way to lake Understanding a ATV trail system! When you see ATV/Snowmobile trail, it’s private trails, owned by the property owners. It’s private property only opened up to whatever the property owner wants. Recreation brings in millions of dollars into the state of Maine. When I say millions it’s over 400 million. At Country Living Rental, you will walk down to the third driveway on the left. That’s the ATV trail. You will enter and walk down to the lake. Off-season’s the trail is closed until the owner feels or clubs, feels that it’s safe for recreational vehicles to use the trail system. This is your private area. No one else is to be there, except for you. Enjoy mother nature at its best.
