Get offline and enjoy the solitude of an all-natural private Maine Woods experience with 1,200 feet of shoreline on a 350 acre private access only Pond, a babbling brook which runs from top to bottom all through the property covering over a mile and over 230 acres with abundant wildlife to explore on your own. There is cell service but you are encouraged to unwind and experience real nature. You have free use of the kayak or just relax at the shore of the Pond or around the 10X14 Cabin where you will find both firepits. The Cabin offers just enough creature comfort for a relaxing nights sleep listening to the owls or the loons either from the loft with a queen size mattress pad or one of the two sleeping cots. Bring your own sleeping bags. Only 5 minutes off of Route 1 and even less from Route 3 near Belfast. The Woods are an amazing place to de-stress, boost mental health and improve overall well-being naturally. There are two firepits and free firewood, fire starters, lighters and a dry tinder box along with hygienic supplies (Camp toilet, Biodegradable personal waste bags, Biodegradable soap, Toilet paper, hand sanitizer and candles) and a pit latrine. The Cabin of the Woods is close to popular Mid-coast towns like Camden, Rockport and Rockland with all of their amenities while enjoying life in this off-grid all-natural and relaxing setting. A 15-minute drive to Belfast allows you to find great lobster fresh from a lobster pound or pick up a meal and enjoy it while watching the daily life in Belfast Harbor and waterfront or other spots like Searsport Harbor or Sears Island. Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
Robert's cabin at Tilden Pond is a wonderfully secluded get away spot with a beautiful woods walk (15mins) to the pond. We were happy about being able to park next to the cabin for easy unloading of gear. We liked making meals over a camp stove we brought and at the fire pit to calls of loons and owls. We brought our own tent but opted to stay in the cabin on the cots provided, which were comfortable with our sleeping pads and bags. Our dog loved having the woods to romp in unleashed. The sunset at the pond was a highlight. On a future trip we hope to take advantage of the double kayak. We saw others kayaking, sailing, and fishing off in the distance. Robert has done a good job repairing the road recently but it is important to have a truck or vehicle with good clearance to drive in. We loved having both Belfast and Camden only minutes away.

The site is fantastic, private and quiet, has everything you need to be comfortable. The pond is gorgeous and the sunset was stunning, having a fire by the lake was really nice. I'll be back to this one!

Ideal spot!
Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
I don’t think there’s anything that could have made my stay here any better. It was exactly what I was looking for- pond is beautiful and close, the cabin was clean, the whole stay was very quiet and felt secluded despite being really close to Belfast. There were more supplies than I expected too- I’m used to dispersed camping where I have to bring everything and was pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully supplied it is. The host was wicked helpful, responsive, and friendly too, plus gave me helpful tips on hiking in the area. Bonus: saw lots of wildlife from the cabin and at the pond :) I’m jealous of how awesome the setup is, I’m going to just have to book it again in the future!

I want to start by saying what a great host Bob is...so very nice and got back to me right away with any questions we had and also reached out with any additional info we may want or need. My husband and I and our two Golden's wanted a well-deserved getaway which was private, secluded and "out in the woods" which we love and also access to water. Bob's place was exactly that. We spent our 4 days at the pond as it was in the 90s. The pond was just wonderful...large shaded area and such a great breeze everyday. We were in the water a lot and used the provided kayak to paddle around and great fishing there as well. Water was low this time of year and rocky bottom but we had our water shoes. Our golden's had the time of their life exploring the woods and trails (if they were not in the water which was a lot!) We did not see another person, extremely private. We look forward to going back again sometime for another little getaway.

Rustic camping and fishing trip!

We loved staying at Bob's camp! It was so peaceful and had everything you need to enjoy a true rustic experience. We enjoyed fishing at Tilden Pond in our canoe where we caught a few bass! Our dogs got to enjoy exploring and relaxing in the sun. We will plan to return next year, thanks Bob!

The campsite was amazing. My fiancé and I loved the seclusion and privacy of the campsite. So many additional amenities inside the cabin to use and our rescue Lexa had plenty of space to zoom around on. Definitely make sure to have an off roading vehicle though or it may get bumpyyyy. It was wonderful, thank you so much Robert!😊

My family and I had a great weekend on Tilton Pond. The little cabin was great for storing stuff although too small for us to really spend time inside. Would be great for 2 people if they didn’t want to pitch a tent. The pond had a great breeze and my boys enjoyed kayaking. My son caught a small mouth bass! If you’re going to be tenting be cautious there aren’t a lot of options where to set it up when things are overgrown.

Robert was an amazing host! He was very communicative and we got to the property after dark and his directions were very clear. After driving up for days it was nice not to have to set up our tent for a night! We didn’t end up doing a fire or making it to the pond. We wish we would have booked for two nights instead of just one. Robert is very intentional having a lot of things you may need in the cabin, such as tick remover, first aid kit, lights, etc. If we ever are back in the area, we will be back!

Perfect location for "getting away from it all", but yet close to all amenities if needed. Robert is a class act, communication is wonderful and he will go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. Looking forward to going back in the near future. If you love the outdoors and being in touch with nature, this is the place for you.

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
I had a great time at Robert's cabin. I was very pleased with the necessities that were provided: camp chairs, a grille to set cookware on over the fire, and a tick removal kit were among the highlights. I had fun exploring the property and paddling Tilden Pond. I did get my 2WD car stuck in the mud on the way out, though, so coming in a 4WD vehicle would be best!

I have left reviews before but this was my first time winter camping there. First , yes it was cold but if your prepared you should do just fine. I'm truly torn on if it's more beautiful in the summer or the winter! The fresh snow on the trees made for great scenery as we walked down to check out the pond. Although frozen, we choice to not press our luck lol. But I will be back for the beautiful fishing I know awaits. wildlife tracks everywhere! It was truly an experience and I look forward to another return!

Beautiful pond and lots of privacy. Nice that the little cabin had things you might have forgotten to bring camping. Chairs, a lighter, trash bags etc. You have a lot of land and beautiful pond to yourself, unlike a campground. The host was really communicative and helpful with our stay!

The host bob was great to communicate with and has a beautiful camp on Tilden pond. The views of the woods is beautiful and the pond is good for fishing along with canoeing or kayaking. It’s a great place to reset and get off your PHONE! (Yes, there was phone service , lol) Definitely, will be coming back!

It’s as described, clean, organized. The cabin is basic no frills but seems to be brand new and worked for our group. We brought tents too but used the cabin to get out of the rain at times. The pond is pretty awesome, very quiet and not many houses around. Water was clean and nice for swimming but it’s shallow a good ways out so you want water shoes or to use a boat or tubes to enjoy it. We had two dogs with us and they ran free, without incident. The host Bob was very responsive and helpful. Nice place!

Total solitude. The cabin was nice, plenty of room for 4 adults and can accommodate more. We heard loons calling at dusk and they flew overhead. Super cool. The road is quite rough terrain but no problem with a 4x4 vehicle.

Beautiful, wooded land and a nice, well designed little cabin tucked away from it all. Be prepared for possible rain impacts on the camp road, and horseflies very happy to see people! Not at all fancy and we loved it. Stocked with many thoughtful amenities including flashlight, water, bug spray, compass, fire starter and first aid kit. Very hospitable, kind friendly host as well!
