Come relax on this private 5 acre waterfront escape. A long driveway will open up into a cleared lot. The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. The cove is filled with a variety of seabirds and the occasional harbor seal. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal life.Property is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. From May through mid November, site includes access to a HOT outdoor shower, well water, a working sink with hot water. Water is turned off after November 15th until late spring, weather dependent. There is an electric outlet for small electronics like laptops/phones/coffee pot NOTE-there is NO 30 amp hookup - site includes a campfire area, lots of open spaces to pitch a tent, and an outhouse. (Yurt access NOT included- private residence)

Located less than a mile away from the Downeast Sunrise Trail, you can drive your ATVs into town on the trail system and grab a bite to eat. Blueberry Land Tent Platforms

We have four raised platforms, accessible by car, each with a canvas-covered A-frame, and each with a canvas/sawdust queen size futon bed in it. Each platform is nested in their own private setting around the edges of our 12-acre organic blueberry barren. Three of the platforms are fully screened-in, with stylish canvas-covered timberframes and circular red doors. One is fully covered but does not have screens. Blueberry Land is part of Smithereen Farm. Surrounded by woodlands, the barrens is on Youngs Cove Road, near Reversing Falls. This is an off grid, rustic site with only a port-a-potty. If you need to use any other amenities, you are welcome to use the WIFI, fill your water bottles, charge your electric vehicle and buy supplies at the Smithereen Farm Store (12 Little Falls Road, Pembroke). That's also where you can jump into the Pennamaquan River to cool off after exploring the town by bike. There are beautiful walking, biking and canoeing opportunities in every direction—check out Cobscook Shores, Downeast Coastal Conservancy trail by Reversing falls, Maine Coast Heritage trails on the bold coast and at Sipps Bay. Blueberry bushes are low, native, fruit-growing, covered in flowers in spring and then berries in summer, turning bright bright red in the fall when kissed by frost. Our blueberries are certified organic by MOFGA and surrounded by birch, fir, spruce and flowering perennial beds to improve insect habitat. We ask that you NOT DRIVE ON THE BERRIES! Park in the parking lot, three sites are immediately visible, the fourth site is a further drive down the road, past the port o potty, in the back field to the left. Low hung vehicles beware, if in doubt park in parking lot. Upon booking, we will send you a PDF welcome packet filled with helpful information about the farm, local sites to see, and a comprehensive list of our recommendations. Remember to prepare for MOSQUITOES in summer! We really recommend you approach Washington County as an opportunity to picnic, so bring a pocketknife, a frying pan, a big cooler for butter and milk, a big water jug, a thermos, a camp stove/kettle, warm socks, and a sense of adventure! Our property is right next to the internationally famous Cobscook Bay State park. Within a stones throw, you can find a boat launch and the most breathtaking views. Not only is the spectacular seaside yurt on south Edmunds road gorgeous it is private. You will be able to listen to loons while tucked into the gentle field of wildflowers or hear the waves lap up against the rocks as you roast marshmallows on the firepit. Alex and I are avid conservationists and stewards of the land. We hope one day to make this place our forever homestead with our growing young family. Happy Dwelling rests on 8 acres of land. Woods create a private and peaceful stay. You may enjoy starry night skies and soft orange sunrises. Just a short walk, is the lovely Sunrise Trail, a converted old train line, for biking, walking, four-wheeling, and horseback riding. Lakes are close by for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Learn more about this land: Open green space surrounded by pine trees. The sites are nestled in spaces surrounded by trees for a sense of peace and privacy. Firepits are at each site. Also on-site, chair and table massage by appointment (I am the Massage Therapist!). We built a new outhouse! It's beautiful! Potable water is available by hose from my house. There are lots of hiking trails in the area. If you're interested in touring some of the towns nearby, Lubec, Eastport, Machias, and Campobello Island are all good choices. And, they all have a hiking trail or two, and I place to have lunch

Tent/RoofTent/RV/Hammock/Trailer.? Including this in your original request will speed up your site acceptance. Our camping section is located on the property of Kisma Preserve. Home to black bear, local mammals , and our favorite, wolves. Most of the staff live here full time all year. The sounds of the night are magical. Unleash your imagination and camp here away from the crowds you may find within the local Acadia National Park area which begins about 5 minutes away at Thompson’s Island and the bridge to Mt Desert Island. We are close to basic necessities, and a step away from the masses. We do educational tours daily and if interested these tours are arranged by reservation too. We may allow camping in Winter months but if it is between November and May it is very important to call and find out the accessibility as weather impacts everything. The shower will likely be unavailable in freezing months and some sites are closed. CALL and speak with a staff member before reserving. Self contained Adventure Vans and tent campers with Winter Gear and Rooftop Tents can be accommodated. Or If you want to have a solid roof , screens and a fabulous view ask about reserving our Cadillac Mountain View Loft or if the idea of being naked under the stars is appealing opt for our Raw and Rough site.! Pulling in late, and leaving early for a typical Sunrise reservation.? We can also accommodate that if we know that is all you want. Traveling with your horse.? Talk to us about an Equine site. The Biker’s Bunkhouse is ideal for motorcycle travelers as it shelters both the guest and the Bike/s. Always call, we can answer all questions to get you into the right site for your style of adventuring. With each listing be sure to read all the information. If you are interested in a spontaneous camping adventure, if your luggage got lost or if you just don’t want to deal with transporting camping gear we can connect you with a local gear renter who can supply you with a basic box of necessities including a tent. Last minute reservation requests may not work via the reservation site but we may very likely have a space. Ellie's RV spot

This spot has been in the family since 1935. Apple trees and wildlife abound year round. Ellie's RV Spot is a single RV site designed for use by all Class A thru C motorized or towable style recreational vehicles including conversion vans or off grid vehicles. 50 or 30 amp electric, water, sewer and wifi are provided. Established in 2019. A sister cabin shares the one acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. Should you choose to book this site and use a vehicle that doesn't have a shower and toilet on board, you will not have access to a bathroom on site.You must provide your own porta potty. The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent. Ellie's is located to allow easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. All rigs including off grid and pop-ups, please set up on GRAVEL PAD only. Stay off grass area to prevent damage to the private septic system. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. In 2019 over 3.5 million people visited the Acadia area. 2023 has been jammed with visitors, more than ever before, be patient. 2024 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mtn are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. Unit is powered 24/7 For winter RVing, please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks, others it will not. Request first please. Questions? Please ask I'm very responsive.

Robinson's Cottages Camping

The tent site is located on the same property as Robinson's Housekeeping Log Cottages. The business was started with one small cabin in 1920 by William Robinson and his wife Shirley. The cottages are located on the bank of the Dennys River, on land owned by generations of Robinsons since 1875. There are 6 log cottages and one small clapboard cottage located on the property. We also have direct access to the Sunrise Trail. Learn more about this land: This campsite is located on the bank of the Dennys River and very close to the small pond also on the property. It is a wooded lot with a firepit (wood included), picnic table, and tenting spot. Nearby are a swingset and volleyball/badminton net, horse shoes, as well as a beach on the river. Water bottles can be filled at the Cottages office. There are canoes, a rowboat, and a kayak that can be used for free by campers. Life jackets can be found by the office. We have direct access to the Sunrise Trail and are located between mile marker 79 and 80.
