Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. Weekend Trip to Magical Mountain River retreat

The site was lovely and as expected - riverside with a picnic table and a nice wide flat surface for setting up our 2-person tent. As described, it is a fairly steep (but wide) path to get down to the site, though we managed even after dark with head lamps on and a slow pace. There is a shared fire pit for all three sites at one of the sites. The privy was clean, well maintained, and centrally located. The host, Abi, was responsive and provided detailed information about how to get to the site, the expectations, and amenities.

It was an enjoyable stay. The host was very responsive and the location is easy to find, and the privy is clean. The camp site itself is centerally located on a lot between neighbouring houses that are in earshot but it's tucked back behind the barn and has some trees and shrubs that offer it a secluded feel. It was perfect for my needs and It is just 27 minutes away from the Casco Bay YMCA by car if you need to work out and get a hot shower.

Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.
