It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Weekend Trip to The Land Kindred

We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. We stayed in the yurt for a weekend and loved it! Bed was comfy and thought the woodstove wasn't working, the space heater kept us cozy. Morgan and Rush were excellent hosts, answered all our questions graciously and made us very welcome. The woodfired hot tub was glorious. Hope we can visit again someday!

The property is close to amenities while feeling removed from the hustle and bustle of it all. Despite the cold we enjoyed an outdoor shower. The property is near a trail to take in all the changing leaves. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful and provided spot on recommendations. We are so grateful!

Weekend Trip to Dancing Lawn

YURT=YES! We arrived to a wonderful oasis, greated by wild turkeys and a beautifully maintained home away from home! My mother and I went skydiving 8 minutes away for my birthday, and this is the perfect place to unwind and experience a wonderful mix of amenities and privacy. I could not have asked for a better birthday. Thank you to the wonderful hosts, who respond instantly and made our stay memorable for entertiny!

How lovely, private, safe, calm, clean, beautiful place! The host is SUPER responsive, anything you need they will reply w the best attitude. The instructions are very clear. One of the most beautiful things was founding a little bed where my dog can sleep that was the cherry on top. Very close to town. We love the place and the town unfortunately was a very short trip but we planning in go back for more days.

This yurt stay was peaceful, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed from top to bottom. Everything inside had a clear purpose and was arranged to make settling in feel natural. It’s clear a lot of care went into creating a space that supports rest without distraction. The scenery surrounding the site was a real highlight—wide, uninterrupted views that made even quiet moments feel expansive. It’s also very secluded, with a strong sense of privacy. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, which added to the low-stress feel of the whole trip. One delightful highlight: they make their own maple syrup on the property, and it’s excellent—rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with skill. If you’re looking for a place to unplug without giving up basic comfort, this is a solid option. Balanced, quiet, and beautifully situated.
