20mi from Bar Harbor · 1 site · Tent, RVSunrise Point on Molasses Pond (Eastbrook, Maine) is a private, waterfront Hipcamp that feels like your own little island—quiet woods, clean water, big sky, and a dock that faces due east for the kind of sunrise you’ll actually wake up for.
You’ll have exclusive use of the property: 3 secluded acres and 300’ of shoreline on Molasses Pond, with a dock, swim float, tiki bar hangout, fire barrel, picnic tables, and easy paths through the woods to multiple tenting spots. Days here are simple in the best way: swim, paddle, fish, read in a camp chair, watch eagles overhead, pick wild blueberries in July/August, and end the night around the fire under a sky full of stars.
Camping & rigs: best suited for groups of 20 or less. Set up to 5 tents total, with one dedicated 10' x 20' tent platform. Small off-grid RV/vans under 23’ are welcome. We cannot accommodate large drive-in RVs or tow-behinds.
Rustic comforts (elevated): a glamorous “glam-latrine” outhouse, plus an open-air outdoor shower and sink supplied with pond water and warmed by solar-heated hot water.
Good to know before you pack: this is an intentionally unplugged stay—no Wi-Fi and limited cell service (usually 2 bars on the dock). Bring your own linens/bedding/towels, plus any extra paper goods and camping supplies you like. Bug spray recommended.
Gear & fun: kayaks + an inflatable SUP are available; Molasses Pond is a 1,252-acre recreation-friendly pond with great swimming and fishing (salmon, brown trout, perch, bass). Jet skis are permitted on the pond. Waterfront activities are at your own risk; supervise children at all times.
Pets: dogs are welcome ($50 per pet per visit). Please keep pets under control and pick up after them.
Check-in 4:00 PM | Check-out 11:00 AM | Minimum stay: 3 nights
House rules: no smoking indoors; outdoor smoking only if butts are fully disposed of. Leave the property broom-swept. Bag all trash and place it in the receptacles near the driveway/parking area. No cutting or damaging trees/shrubs. Fires only in the provided fire barrel, never unattended, and fully extinguished.
